Hey Ladies, @Eesha - You sound so happy , I think Im there with you too! Before I started talking to Homeless I was in such a good place, and it really makes you look at things from a different perspective doesnt it?
Im really happy and content in my life, I have fab kids, a good job, a nice house, so many people around me that I love. This time last year, I was alone, in a shared house with a broken heart 70 miles away from everyone....I look at far I have come, and I really actually am proud of me, and someone will be lucky to have me ....its took a LONG time for me to get here though!

@bangheadhere40 Hey! Nope, nothing for a month now. At the time he said he couldn't do relationships because of the Aspergers getting worse and I said ok and left it. I don't really think of him much these days but pragmatically thinking, we probably weren't suited because of all of that.

@pineappleonpizzaornot yup, a very different perspective now! Although if anyone has advice on trainers rubbing against their ankles, please share!!! I'm unsexily hobbling as I'm determined to look good!!!

It is @Shayelle2009 - Sometimes I think you really have to go to some shitty places mentally to then realize what you do have, however, I dont have any plans to ever go back to them places! I did take a lot for granted, then when it was gone, I do cherish them a lot more. Dont get me wrong, a man in the ix would be great too, but if there isnt one, its certainly not the end of the world!

how do you guys not take it personally? My iron Mr Cars has dramatically cut down communication from where it was. I confronted him on it and said no worries if he wanted to not pursue things etc. He said he def did and really likes me ... then nothing since :(/. What is up with that? I gave him the chance to back out ...

@ArriettyCArriettyC i think because people are chickens and don't want to tell you outright that they aren't that into you. So they drop contact. You should drop contact too and focus on other irons rather than let this one upset you with his lack of effort

When I started the awful dreaded journey of OLD, I thought it would easy peasy to find someone, Oh Jeez, I was so wrong, Ive been ghosted, told to "fuck off", because I refused to meet one after 2 messages, cat fished, Im sure one I really liked and met for a drink was married, Ive had one figure out where I worked and turned up!! Just a MASSIVE bunch of odd-bod freaky weirdos!
At first I was shocked and sad at how these guys behaved, now Im just like "Oh, another freak....see ya!" Really gives you a thick skin!
I also think you should drop contact with Mr Car, they never say they arent that into you, they just piss off!

thank you all - yes, I must develop more of a thick skin. Mr Cars sent me two messages yesterday - when previously he would message constantly (which I like). I replied to the first one (just a joke he sent); the second one was one word. I haven't replied. Not replying makes me feel stronger weirdly. If he wants to get in touch he can - I was v clear about that. But I'm not chasing any more.

Hey @Shayelle2009 - I wouldnt say Im looking forward to it .....its more like "well, this could change my life....or not!" kinda thing!

I just hope I like him, once the first meet is over, then things I suppose are a little clearer either way!

Well famous last words for me! After saying no pressure 🙄 i then got asked what im looking for and that he wouldnt mind being my toyboy (hes 1 year younger than me 🙄) literally hate these silly questions so I deleted bumble! Staying off it for a while now as honestly i just have noooo motivation to meet anyone, I have no patience with any of it at all! Feel like I need a time out and just chill without having to deal with the crApps ☺️

Hey ladies....nothing to report! Sorry! We have postponed till next Saturday, as the weather here was awful! And I ended up with only a short window of spare time as it was my mum's birthday and I also had my mother's day yesterday. We can't do today as it's mother's day and we are both seeing our mum's...let's see how the next week of messaging goes 😴

Hey ladies! Hope you all had good Mother’s days. I saw mine today for the first time in many, many years. Its nice to try and put some of the years of no contact/bad memories/heartache behind, especially in the pandemic.
Im still off the apps and no intention of going back for now. Enjoying the feeling of serenity and peace from it! It definitely has a detrimental effect on my happiness levels. Feel like I need a period of recovery and centre myself... im really 110% happy being single and no irons right now 😊

Well..I've been in touch a bit with Mr Spreadsheet since I told him I didn't think we would be a romantic match. He's actually been really lovely anyway and took it well ( apart from when he blocked me originally 😄). I think we will get on and so may meet him, not with any expectations of fancying him though. I'm still not well and he's been sweet checking up on me etc.

I will meet him I think, but am feeling better now it's not a 'date'. He's also stopped harassing me and just messages occasionally

Sorry it wasnt a more interesting update @bangheadhere40 - Ive kind of backed off a bit from Homeless, its just getting a tad tedious now.

I did go back on the apps yesterday, and have started talking to Mr Hospital, he seems nice, he asks lots of questions, sometimes a bit too many, but he seems ok so far.
Cant believe Spreaders is back on the scene!! Way to go Spreaders!! .......have you got a meet planned with him??
