What's the appropriate terminology for your "nether regions" in a new middle aged relationship?

Just that really! Have me a new man and when he used the word "fanny", I felt a bit queasy! Equally, "willy" sounds ridiculous at our age!!

If we’re being 18th century, I vote for reviving the term ‘quim’. Fanny doesn’t sound remotely enticing and I think I’d just laugh if a chap used un-ironically. I can never decide on a good word for male bits though - cock is probably better than the alternatives

EdwardCullensBiteOnTheSide · 17/08/2020 18:14

Fanjita!

Awkwarddough · 17/08/2020 18:17

We only use fanny as in ‘stop being a fanny’

Not during sex we use Faff and Hooha and vajayjay or vagina, penis, peep, winky-dink Blush

During sex: pussy, dick, cock, penis and vagina.

Pebblexox · 17/08/2020 18:18

Vagina and penis.
I've never felt the need to call them anything else. An article I read has always stuck with me too, that if you were to call it a 'cute' name, in cases of child abuse they could be thrown out due to misunderstanding what was being asked (I doubt it's true, but it scared me enough that I will only ever call my dds a vagina and nothing else)

Permanentlypuzzled · 17/08/2020 18:28

What about when you get the well known MN “fanny flutters” .
Surely there’s no better description for those.

Oldbagface · 17/08/2020 18:35

Fanny gallops @Permanentlypuzzled
Fanny reminds me of that episode of the Inbetweeners where Simon tries a bit of dirty talk and tells the girl. "I'm gonna fuck your fucking fanny off you twat" very alluring Grin

Pussy and cock for sex or sexting. I don’t like the word ‘cunt’.

I had a gentleman friend once who referred to our bits as he/him and she/her eg “he loves it when she squeezes him like that” 🤮

I also had one guy who referred to it as my “treasure” - “oh I’m so hard thinking of your beautiful treasure all wet” etc. He never made it next or near my treasure, needless to say!

WhyDoesItAlways · 17/08/2020 18:43

No one has mentioned clunge yet!

I don't refer to either in a sexual way because there are no good words for them. I might use clit at a push if I specifically wanted something in that region but otherwise I would use 'you' for cock and 'me' for vag as in 'i want you inside me' or similar...

Palavah · 17/08/2020 18:47

Pussy is out there with panties.
Agree quim and cunny are due for a comeback, as it were.

justanotherneighinparadise · 17/08/2020 18:52

We’ve managed to go nine years without calling our intimate areas anything! Not sure what that says about us 🤣

I have a feeling I have referred to 🥖 as ‘it’ before.

polkadotpjs · 17/08/2020 19:04

Cock works just fine for men but women need a new good word. Pussy is dreadful and vagina too clinical. Jilly cooper must have one

NeedToKnow101 · 17/08/2020 19:42

@AuntieJoyce

Metaphorically speaking

Not actual manual entertainment you understand

😂😂😂
LunaNorth · 17/08/2020 19:43

Jilly Cooper used ‘buttercunt’ if I remember correctly...

NeedToKnow101 · 17/08/2020 19:45

Throbbing cock and soaking wet pum-pum.

I like the word quim.
NeedToKnow101 · 17/08/2020 19:49

Don't like the word pussy, how about beaver? Grin

waltzingparrot · 17/08/2020 19:53

Giant member or widger (when not giant)

Fanjo ( adopted from MN)

ClementineWoolysocks · 17/08/2020 19:53

Urgh, so many of these are absolutly cringe-worthy.

LunaNorth · 17/08/2020 19:59

Something more romantic?

Cleft of Venus?

NeedToKnow101 · 17/08/2020 20:00

I'm wondering what is the appropriate terminology for 'middle-aged.' I'm in my 50s and although I have no desire to live to 100, I don't feel middle-aged in the slightest. I do like gardening though, so maybe I am.

Oldbagface · 17/08/2020 20:01

Ooh @LunaNorth you had me at cleft. Thank you for brightening my day with your hilarious post's Smile

NeedToKnow101 · 17/08/2020 20:01

@LunaNorth

Something more romantic?

Cleft of Venus?

And veiny bang-stick.
LunaNorth · 17/08/2020 20:04

Classical? Catallus used ‘verpa’ for cock.

‘Mentula’ is another Latin one, which is thought derived from ‘little mind’.

They knew a bit, those Romans.

LunaNorth · 17/08/2020 20:04

veiny bang stick GrinGrinGrin

Hippofrog · 17/08/2020 20:05

Growler or Flange.
