All of the above

Plus cost nights in with a DVD and a bottle of wine.

It's years since I've looked at OLD though so maybe there's an updated version of that Grin

bopfactory · 15/05/2020 11:45

Don't mind holiday snaps, but the guy I saw on POF smiling and posing outside the gates of Auschwitz... really????

singlemum81 · 15/05/2020 11:53

Just got an message

“No time wasters”. Big red flag.

Holiday pictures of them grinning and pointing at something, e.g. the Eiffel Tower. My aunt and her family have always taken holiday photos in this style, and I just think “why?”.

Men past their early thirties who put 18 as their lower age limit in a partner. E.g. Trevor (40) would like to meet women 18-40. I’m 38, and that would make me give Trevor the swerve.

singlemum81 · 15/05/2020 12:12

I interpret no time wasters as they've pissed off a few women and got themselves blocked for whatever reason

I agree with all the above - it is so depressing. I have given up on messaging during the lockdown as it seemed so meaningless. My most recent chat was with a guy who kept trying to turn the conversation round to sex, even after I had asked him not to. He clearly just wanted some w* material, even though he professed to be looking for his 'life partner' and not just sex.

Isitsixoclockalready · 15/05/2020 12:17

I think anything with an insinuation or just blatant that they are after someone rich with a nice car. I wasn't rich and neither did I have a nice car when I was OLD (not that I am now either) but I couldn't imagine dating anyone with that outlook.

B1rdflyinghigh · 15/05/2020 12:52

Sapiosexuals. Shudder!

GinWithRosie · 15/05/2020 13:31

Oh my god @B1rdflyinghigh The sapiosexuals 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

bitofafunnyquestion · 15/05/2020 14:25

Lying about age to put them in the age bracket for younger women and wide- eyedly pretending this is some kind of glitch.

A bitter, cliched list of things they dislike about women, usually including: 'fakeness', fillers, not responding to their messages quickly enough, 'drama', interest in popular culture, hair extensions etc as though they have a unique insight into what makes women inferior to them, but some lucky specimens might make the cut.

Not writing anything except 'just ask to find out more'. Why should I be the one to make the effort here if you can't be bothered?? I would prefer them to write nothing just fill in the details and have some clear pics.

I avoid those with very sporty pics, simply because I don't really like sport. Nothing wrong with this generally and it shows who might not be my type.

Unpleasant comments such as 'none of your business' in the employer section. Just leave it blank or very general such as 'law firm', civil service, NHS or whatever.

I don't like seeing identifiable pictures of children in profiles but I also think people should say if they do have kids. No further details needed than that.

bitofafunnyquestion · 15/05/2020 14:26

oh god save us all from the sapiosexuals!!

HalfDutchGirl · 15/05/2020 14:37

Loving this thread ... All of the above and more!!

The profile pics taken whilst in the car from a very unflattering angle (no, I don't want to see up your nose) which also gives their head a really weird shape.

Profiles that say 'I like nights in or nights out' is there any other kind of night?

The same profile pic over and over but just close up and then distance and then close up again.

Pics with them wearing sunglasses inside - why??

Immediate turn offs for me are tattooed necks/face, lots of jewellery, vest tops and bad spelling.

Oh, and one the other day I read that gave his life story which included a long childhood serious illness, an abused mother and nursing his recently departed wife through her terminal illness. Hmmm, me thinks you're not quite ready for on line dating yet matey!

Joy69 · 15/05/2020 14:38

No drama!!! Usually means they're the ones that cause it.
Also too many happening trendy pub/bar shots. If they have such a great time with the lads, no women can compare Grin

Solbrah · 15/05/2020 14:54

Selfies in bed. Or really just selfies inside in general, i.e. in the bedroom, lounge etc. Just boring!

Can i ask what is this OLD dating site everyone keeps talking about? I googled it and didnt get any results and cant see any OLD apps on google playstore...is it a secret club? Thanks :)

madcatladyforever · 15/05/2020 14:56

Blokes who are clearly not wearing any clothes.
Thin men standing next to bikes.
Old, fat men.
Men

Mermaidwaves · 15/05/2020 15:02

One guy I got chatting to put on his profile that hes a big guy and hopes that he wont be judged for his looks, and that he wouldnt do that himself. A week or so in I mentioned I'm a big girl myself. He blocked me when I refused to tell him my weight and dress size! He told me he needed to know in case I took up all of his bed! Baring in mind he was pretty fat himself sodding cheek ShockAngry

PheasantPlucker1 · 15/05/2020 15:05

OLD = OnLine dating!

I have also googled looking for that site Blush

madcatladyforever · 15/05/2020 15:06

Anyone who even mentions what they want size wise is immediately off my dating list.

Never heard of that - ever!

singlemum81 · 15/05/2020 16:37

A proper OLD group would help so many women become wiser (and safer) online.
