People who start their profile with "Are there any normal women anymore?" Any bad mouthing of women.
Anyone posing with a fish.
Topless shots led on a bed (screams I want casual sex).
Really poor spelling (a couple of mistakes I can take).
Selfies int he mirror.

Men who use the word 'babe'

JulieHere · 31/08/2020 07:45

Meme's.

However, I have asked men the same question and they say

Women who use filters on all their pictures then turn up looking 20 years older.
Women who have pictures of bunny ears/whiskers etc and think it looks 'cute' - the men I've spoken to say it doesn't.
Women who are not really looking but want praise (people to approach them) - I wasn't really sure what this meant but he said some women just want to be reaffirmed as beautiful but don't date at all?

I’ve just seen one, where he is taking a selfie in the mirror with his phone in a toilet, really posing, properly loving himself silly, and there are 3 urinals in the reflection and there is a man actually having a wee! 😂

Ritascornershop · 06/09/2020 02:10

Bad spelling
Comes across as angry/sarcastic
Always up a mountain/in a canoe/fishing etc (makes them look exhausting and like they’re trying to impress other men rather than women)
The age range for women goes 30 years young than them right up to one year younger than them: yuck
Seems to take the self very seriously
Not my physical type (looks like an estate agent, ie clean-shaven, gets manicures, wears pointy shoes 24/7; overweight; bald, scrawny, looks pleased with himself; just looks like he’d be a smarmy dick who actively dislikes women).

I was perusing Hinge whilst reading this last night and EVERY SINGLE Profile had at least 1 of the things mentioned here. I give up 😭

Men that insist women must contact them first as we're always on about equality.

NSA well not for me anyway but at least they are honest

In their bio describe their job, salary, lavish lifestyle pics but state no gold diggas, even if your not one it's still off putting.

Men use filters too, it's a no used on every pic.

Attractive women in pics with them, why would that attract me? I only think your a player.

I was on a couple of dating sites a few years ago and received a message from a man whose profile stated he would only consider dating women up to five years younger than him. I replied saying I found that really off-putting and he sent me a ranting, insulting essay so I blocked him. He then found my profile on another site and continued to berate me there. So I blocked and reported him. I feel sorry for anyone who ended up meeting him!

When there first message to you is hello gorgeous or some other cringe opener.

Love this thread - some of these made me laugh out loud!

Totally agree with bad spelling/ grammar, topless photos, photos in bed, lots of different selfies and no other photos, pics with fancy car/ bike/ boat, looking for a princess/ partner in crime, photos with other women (WTF!), a list of what they don’t want with ‘need not apply’ comment.

Wearing hats and sunglasses in every photo so you can’t really tell what they look like, photos of them poking out their tongues or pulling ‘funny’ faces, describing themselves as cheeky or a real gentleman.

The profiles with hardly anything written like they can’t be bothered and ‘just ask.’ Came across one yesterday like that - the bare minimum information and ‘message me if you want to know more - I don’t tell my life story to just anyone.’ Hmm

It’s not surprising that I’m not finding OLD a very successful way of meeting someone!
