New boyfriend wouldn't give me a lift home...am I right to be annoyed?

Saturday night I went out with him and his friend and girlfriend (only first time I met them)
Anyway long story short we missed the last train and he said we could stay at his and girlfriends house.
Then ..next morning,reality set in.
I had slept in my clothes and I had no makeup with me and I looked a treat (not)
My boyfriend said his sister was collecting him and taking him home,I was thinking "hmmm is she taking me home too"so I said
"Would you mind dropping me at the train station and il jump on the train"(thinking he would say il drive you )
He then says .."I really can't,she doesn't like giving lifts to strangers and the train station is 10 mins opposite to the way we are going"
So we go downstairs ..and they make us a cuppa.
Half way through he gets a texts and his sister arrives and he just stands up and says
"She's here, gives me a kiss and leaves and tells me to text once I'm home"
So ..I'm sat on strangers sofa ...looking a state and he has left.
Would you be annoyed too?
Am I being a drama queen ?

No I don't walk my male date to public transport and then make my own way alone afterwards. Women are physically more vulnerable and I do not think it is unreasonable to not want to be left standing alone late at night in the middle of the city centre. When out with female friends we would always make sure to head home together, never leaving one person alone. It's called safety.

kalinkafoxtrot45 · 30/12/2019 17:52

I would not bother with this sorry and selfish specimen again.

Have you spoken with him since, OP?

sue51 · 30/12/2019 17:59

3 months into a relationship should be the honeymoon stage. Huge red flag here. Do yourself a favour and start the new year as a single woman.

ballsdeep · 30/12/2019 18:01

Absolutely awful. I'd dump him what a selfish bastard

homemadecommunistrussia · 30/12/2019 18:05

This doesn't seem too bad to me. The boyfriend had already bailed the op out, by getting a friend to put them up, he's now supposed to deliver her home as well?!Confused

Ginfordinner · 30/12/2019 18:23

She could have had a lift to the station homemadecommunistrussia Hmm

The not giving a lift to strangers excuse is a bit odd don't you think?

Boots20 · 30/12/2019 18:27

I think he hasn't wanted you to meet his sister while wearing slept in clothes & lack of makeup etc which is shallow & quite pathetic if this is the case

ballsdeep · 30/12/2019 18:34

It's not the fact he was supposed to get her home though, it's the fact he left her with people she didn't know properly without any care.

Zaphodsotherhead · 30/12/2019 18:36

And the fact that they were supposed to be going out for Sunday lunch, which he just blew off without a word!

PriscillaTheHun · 30/12/2019 18:38

It's unanimous, OP. We all agree on this one. Dump him.

Raindancer411 · 30/12/2019 18:44

I had my hubby read this and he said he could have at least sorted you a taxi and he doesn't think it's going to get any better. I second saying calling it a day

Ohyesiam · 30/12/2019 18:53

No way are you being a drama queen. He is either spectacularly unaware, or there’s more to this than meets the eye.

proffBoff · 30/12/2019 19:40

That's odd and shitty behaviour. You're not being over dramatic... I'd be asking him why he acted like a total childish gimp. Then if he didn't explain something like 'oh sorry I'm just a bit awkward with family meeting someone I really like' or 'I'm really sorry. That was so selfish of me I'll never act like that again... I'm just nervous in new relationships' if he doesn't say something reasonable like that... then get rid!!!

Elieza · 30/12/2019 19:43

I forgot about the Sunday lunch plans the op and he had. That was prob arranged before he stayed the night away from his so called sister (wife). I reckon she would have gone radio rental at him for being our all night and he would have known he’d have to make amends, hence not available for Sunday lunch.
Everything points to a wife (or partner he lives with).

Whowaswronghere2 · 30/12/2019 19:47

Wow awful. You don't treat a friend like that let alone a gf x

RLEOM · 30/12/2019 19:48

He's either embarrassed of you or not that into you, or it's not his sister who picked him up. Either way, he's a douche and needs to be dumped.

mellicauli · 30/12/2019 19:52

definitely not sister..wife or girlfriend..sorry..but who would ask their sibling to do this?

BercowsFestiveFlamingo · 30/12/2019 20:36

Is OP coming back?

TooSweetToBeSour · 30/12/2019 21:11

Good lord, tell this clown to get to fuck

AmIthechristmasfairy · 30/12/2019 23:13

Rain dancer. What's your view?

momtoboys · 30/12/2019 23:17

Is he incredibly immature? That sounds like something a 16 year old would do after a date at the movie.

Eustacecraig · 31/12/2019 01:10

This doesn't seem too bad to me. The boyfriend had already bailed the op out, by getting a friend to put them up, he's now supposed to deliver her home as well?!confused

She was in his mate's house who she'd never met. Even if I was with a friend I wouldn't just up and leave them. Your standards are far too low if you think this is acceptable from a boyfriend.

Ruderidinghood · 31/12/2019 01:52

OP seems to have disappeared. I dont understand why you didnt both go to the train station together (UBER/lift from friend or whatever)?

Also what did his friend and GF say? I would be mortified if one of my guy friends did this.

Very rude and selfish. I would have torn him a new one and gotten rid.

Pls update us OP
