He won't accept we're separated

We split nearly three months ago after I found out about an inappropriate relationship with another woman. It's not the first time and I said if it happened again we'd split. So we have.

However, he's still messaging me daily to ask me to talk about saving our marriage. I've told him repeatedly I don't want to talk about this as it's over. I feel trapped. He's just not listening to me.

So glad things are on the up Cece!

cece · 26/08/2020 21:38

Today is my one anniversary of leaving him. Life is good and I feel like celebrating.

I’m so glad it worked out in the end! You’re so well rid! Enjoy your life now... go out and have some fun you bloody deserve it!

RandomMess · 28/08/2020 00:34

WooHoo

Has there been more progress on the finances and do you think he's truthfully declared everything?

NiceGerbil · 28/08/2020 00:44

Congrats op Smile

NettleTea · 03/09/2020 08:52

this is lovely news

cece · 04/09/2020 21:58

I spoke too soon. He's still faffing and we re due to exchange financial details in a couple of weeks. No idea if he'll be honest.

He's upset me today but I've pulled myself together now. Something to do with one of our kids.

The good news is I've been dating a bit. I've decided it's time.

Good for you!

In some ways the longer he delays it the longer the marriage is and it strengthens your claim on more of the equity!

Noshowlomo · 04/09/2020 23:27

He’ll still try to get under your skin but that’s because in his head he’ll never stop being the victim!
Great to hear good news though OP. Hope the dates are going well x

cece · 12/09/2020 08:00

He's in the being nice cycle of how he treats me. I suspect he may have himself a girlfriend as he's being very cheerful for him.

I'm having a lot of fun dating. It's such an ego boost although I've been ghosted a couple of times. What's that about? Well it's their loss!

OP posts:
RandomMess · 12/09/2020 08:03

Make the most of the nice circle.

Where have you got with the financials?

cece · 12/09/2020 12:46

Exchanging in about 10 days. Court date is end of Oct.

OP posts:
RandomMess · 12/09/2020 12:57

Do you think he will have been truthful or do you need a forensic accountant to dig around and see what he "forgot" to include - secret savings and pensions and the like...

cece · 12/09/2020 19:06

Oh knowing him he'll be trying to hide money. I have quite a good idea of what he should have but he probably thinks I don't....

OP posts:
RandomMess · 12/09/2020 19:22

😂😂😂

Still won't you need proof of value of what he hasn't declared/undeclared??

cece · 09/10/2020 18:47

Things have moved on and were nearly ready to put the house on the market.

Things are looking up.

OP posts:
RandomMess · 09/10/2020 19:01

Hurrah!!!

I say that but how are you feeling and how are the financial arrangements going? Are you going to be able to afford a home suitable for you and the DC?

Weenurse · 09/10/2020 23:32

Well done, you have come a long way 💐

BlueThistles · 10/10/2020 10:04

well done OP... you have shown great strength this entire year 🌺

Daleksatemyshed · 10/10/2020 17:02

You've come a long way from the person hiding in the bedroom away from the idiot performance crying in the next bedroom. Good for you, I hope life will be kinder to you now

RandomMess · 10/10/2020 17:49

@StuckInPollyannaMode

Cece journey reminds me so much of yours! See how much can change in a year.

cece · 11/10/2020 18:34

I spoke too soon.
He's told me today that my solicitor is asking for a ridiculous amount of money and that he can't afford to buy anywhere for himself. He also won't sell for less than x pounds. The x is far more than any of the state agents quotes. Arghhhhh

OP posts:
cece · 11/10/2020 18:34

Then he messaged me an hour later to see if we could talk about getting back together. 🙈

OP posts:
BlueThistles · 11/10/2020 18:59

He's stalling at every turn right ... next he'll be laying over the threshold 🙄

RandomMess · 11/10/2020 19:02

Tis all about the money.

Just take it to court to force sale Thanks
