I'm fucking fuming. I posted recently
About dh's suspect WhatsApp activity. It all stopped but I have been keeping an eye on his phone. This afternoon when he went to the toilet I clicked his apps and saw messenger was open. I've just had the chance to snoop again while he's in the shower and found messages between him and our friend (we aren't that close with her. - well I'm not). Loads of sexual stuff. I just added myself to the conversation and said 'wow I don't see that coming'
I'm upstairs now. Neither of them have read it yet.

redexpat · 20/09/2018 10:06

You and your mum are awesome women.

theredjellybean · 20/09/2018 10:08

With a mum like that no wonder you arw so fantastic and incredible.
Shows what good role modelling can do.. And you are now role modelling to your dc that boundaries mean something.

SausageSimon · 20/09/2018 10:09

Both you and your mum are amazing, I admire both of you.

While some PP's disagree with your mum taking your phone and deleting those messages, I've got to say I think it's the right way to go.
I think seeing those "I love you nothing happened blah blah blah" messages will only mess with the OP's head. His actions are what he should be judged by, not his pathetic apologies and excuses. It keeps the OP focussed on what he's done, where some would hear his apologies and be back with him within 24 hours.

It will also drive him mad so it's a win win Grin

YouShouldSeeMeInACrown · 20/09/2018 10:18

So sorry for what you're going through OP but glad to see how supportive your Mum is being! & even tho I don't know you am feeling very proud of how you've handled the situation! ThanksWine

cleanasawhistle · 20/09/2018 10:18

beenandgoneandbackagain · 20/09/2018 10:21

What a thread - you have been amazing and strong, and your mum is doing exactly the right thing by giving you tough-love with your phone, and being strong for you when you might falter.

You both sound like strong inspirational people.

So sorry that you are having to go through this shit time.

AccidentallyRunToWindsor · 20/09/2018 10:21

AmazingGrace16 · 20/09/2018 10:32

I love your mum!!

Hidingtonothing · 20/09/2018 10:34

Just another person adding their support OP, he’s a total shit and you are waaayyy too good for him. I agree your DM is doing the best thing for you in keeping your phone and deleting his messages, they will mess with your head and muddy the waters. You have reacted exactly the way I hope I would in the same (awful) situation, don’t be swayed Flowers

GoodHeavensNoImAChicken · 20/09/2018 10:35

You and your mum are awesome- just rtft and in awe of your strength. So sorry this has happened but you’ve been brilliant. Flowers

Onthebrink87 · 20/09/2018 10:35

Your mum is fucking awesome and it's rubbed off for sure! It's going to hurt but I would happily put money on the fact that you are going to do just fine! Your dc get to see first hand what a strong and wonderful woman you are! Wine

MrsMozart · 20/09/2018 10:36
