Revenge body anyone?

FuckItPassMeTheWine · 19/09/2018 17:24

So basically I experienced missed miscarriage, got cheated on, emotionally abused and dumped by my ex three months ago. I felt destroyed , literally broken for the first month but now I am starting to feel stronger (thanks to the supportive people on mumsnet who commented on my threads) . Trouble is I’ve been comfort eating since the break up and have put on 3 stone. 😱
I am always usually in good shape and have competed before.

Anyways long story short I’m goIng to start training again from Monday, with the aim to get my six pack back! I thought it would be nice if maybe others wanted to achieve a revenge body then I could help you with diet/ training and we can all support each other and get in shape for the festive season (Christmas party dresses ahoy) . I am not going to charge anyone for this obviously (before anyone starts to think of this as a plug for Personal training , I don’t do it for a living ). 😬

I did this after my H's affair. I went from a size 10-12 to a size 6-8. I'd put on the weight after my breast cancer mastectomy and treatment . I've lost all the weight, swim 2 -3 times a week at a naice spa I've joined, I'm going to have the 3D tittoo, and everyone says I look amazing! H still has his wobbly belly, moobs and his bald patch is growing! So OP you go for it and walk tall Flowers

FuckItPassMeTheWine · 24/09/2018 17:38

@FrancesDestroyed Thank you for your kind words also I’m glad that your H has a growing bald patch😂 I’m secretly (not so secretly now mind lol) hoping that happens my ex too 😬 xx

I started today - I couldn’t fit in the fasted cardio (because I got up too late!) but at lunch time I did 2k on the rowing machine and my weights routine. I created an eating plan on MFP at the weekend and have set to 0.5kg weight loss per week which is giving me 1450 cals - it doesn’ Sound like much but by not snacking I can eat really healthily on that.

FuckItPassMeTheWine · 24/09/2018 18:11

@Smellyrose glad you managed to get your rowing done ! And good going with doing the weights too, that’s brill 💪🏼 you’ve had a very decent day! 💛 xx

Morning all! I’ve just finished fasted cardio , how are you all getting on? Xx

Mai5x · 25/09/2018 08:14

I've done my squats (only 20 box squats) and about 20 crunches this morning. Didn't realise how out of shape I was!!

I need to start waking up earlier so I can do my 20 minutes fasted cardio!

What's the best ab workout for a small waist?!x

Applesandoranges1 · 25/09/2018 10:32

Morning all, I'm off to do 5k run. I want to get cardio fitness up and I will go to the gym tomorrow to do some weights. I'm struggling with diet as I tend to like sweet things in the evenings. I plan on doing some hard boiled eggs today to keep to hand for snacks. I have lost 4lb in the last week but so abdo is looking slimmer but want to build up my glutes. Have a great day everyone - keep strong and get strong :)

Applesandoranges1 · 25/09/2018 10:33

Well done @Mai5x great start x

Mai5x · 25/09/2018 10:35

Applesandoranges1 - thanks!! It seems like you're doing really well too! Wish I had the motivation and energy to do a 5k run!! Well done!!

I'm the same, crave chocolate in the evenings after dinner, or all day haha! But 4lb in a week is amazing!!! How are you building up glutes? In the gym with weights or at home?! This is what I need to do but haven't joined the gym yet. Will be starting a new job on the 1st so will join then! x

Fairydust26 · 25/09/2018 10:36

Fasted cardio on my exercise bike this morn off to a dance workout at the gym tonight going full beast mode😆.

Applesandoranges1 · 25/09/2018 11:26

Thanks @Mai5x run done, I was tough but it's my 4th one in 2 weeks and I'm really feeling the difference already - slow and steady!

@Fairydust26 that's great! How do you find the fasted cardio? I did my run fasted and think I could feel the fat melting Smile at least that's what I told myself!!!

LittleBittyKitty · 25/09/2018 12:04

I've just read the entire thread, what a wonderful thing you're doing OP.

Like one of the previous posters, I also had a hysterectomy last week, it was laparoscopic, so minimally invasive, although I do have internal stitches to look after.

I'm 5'5" and 68kg. I used to be a gym bunny, but have been away from it to a few years. I do tone up really quickly and find it quite easy to lose weight when I make an effort. I just need to make the effort more often!

I'd love to join in and will start off with the upper body exercises while my abdominal area heals. I can't do any cardio for the next few week because of the hysterectomy recovery either. 😩

Looking forward to this journey with you all. 😘

FuckItPassMeTheWine · 25/09/2018 12:43

@Mai5x well done tor this morning ! Smile so small waist is achieved from diet , cardio and consistent workouts. I’ll also be posting a specific core workout later today 💛 I’ve also put my leg work out in thread which targets glutes area , you can use the gym workout (if you have access) or the home one xx
@Applesandoranges1 omg 5k run is amazing ! Love it!! Grin xx
@Fairydust26 well done on completing the fasted cardio Smile xx
@LittleBittyKitty aw thank you ! And welcome to thread , I hope you get something out of it when you start Smile 💛xx

I did’t do fasted cardio today (up too late again!)

I’m out for an Indian tonight with friends - arranged before I decided to start this fitness goal - so I’ve worked out what I’m going to eat to keep within my calories, and worked the rest of my day around it.

Mai5x · 25/09/2018 12:59

FuckItPassMeTheWine - ah brilliant, diet and cardio is definitely something I need to work on!

Great, I'll copy the at home core workout (until I join the gym) - they're so bloody expensive where I am! xx

FuckItPassMeTheWine · 25/09/2018 13:02

@Mai5x have you looked on living social or groupon or even just google discount gym memebership local as sometimes theirs cheap offers in the pipeline . I just use a basic puregym , it’s no frills but does the job XX

FuckItPassMeTheWine · 25/09/2018 13:04

@Smellyrose planning what you eat when dinning our is a fab idea, it saves you from eating those extra cals , good thinking ! Xx

Fairydust26 · 25/09/2018 13:49

Applesandoranges1 well done on the run hope you smashed it! I like to think I can feel the fat melting away too ha!.

How do you ladies cope with sugar cravings I find I can eat healthy throughout the day but as soon as it gets to late evening I just crave chocolate sometimes it’s too hard to resist😫.

Mai5x · 25/09/2018 14:07

FuckItPassMeTheWine - I have had a look, there are only 2 gyms close to me, which are £40-£50 a month! The closest puregym is about a 30 minute drive the opposite way from my house! If it was £20 a month I'd be signing up in a heartbeat, but the price puts me off! xx

CanaryWharf · 25/09/2018 14:51

@Fairydust26 I’m exactly the same re chocolate cravings! I ruin my calorie goal for the day most days by getting in and craving bad food! Then once I start I can’t stop 🙈
Following this thread with interest Smile

shggg245 · 25/09/2018 15:13

Hello Op - love this thread. So I've been going to the gym 3x week and playing an hour of netball twice a week. I'm def making progress lost weight and toning up but seem to suffer with groin pain when doing squats. Should I avoid completely and how can I prevent this happening? I spend a good 20 mins warming up. Smile

Phwooooar · 25/09/2018 15:43

Great thread! I took the plunge and started doing CrossFit a couple of weeks ago. Blimey it’s tough but great! Need to add in some fasting cardio which means getting out of bed earlier..
