Revenge body anyone?

So basically I experienced missed miscarriage, got cheated on, emotionally abused and dumped by my ex three months ago. I felt destroyed , literally broken for the first month but now I am starting to feel stronger (thanks to the supportive people on mumsnet who commented on my threads) . Trouble is I’ve been comfort eating since the break up and have put on 3 stone. 😱
I am always usually in good shape and have competed before.

Anyways long story short I’m goIng to start training again from Monday, with the aim to get my six pack back! I thought it would be nice if maybe others wanted to achieve a revenge body then I could help you with diet/ training and we can all support each other and get in shape for the festive season (Christmas party dresses ahoy) . I am not going to charge anyone for this obviously (before anyone starts to think of this as a plug for Personal training , I don’t do it for a living ). 😬

@legocardsagain hello lovely , well done on doing the 10 mins on the cross trainer Smile that’s really great!
Ok so I remember you said you take medication in the morning with your breakfast . I’m assuming that you’ve been told to take it at that specific time with a meal? In which case I would priortisr taking the meds first before doing your cardio. Don’t worry too much at this point about it being fasted or not , I think the main thing here is that your increasing your physical activity which is extremely positive and you will see progress either way, especially if you are consistent .
How did the cross trainer feel today? Were your joints okay? Xx

Hello, just popping in as another(!) EDS case who has just restarted a journey to health. I had a major hip dislocation in December and my health has been well and truly shot by a 7 year bout of kidney disease. I’ve been on steroids for 7 years now, at varying sizes of distressingly massive.
I’ve rejoined a gym and I’m doing two Pilates classes and one aqua class a week because the hip is too unstable for much else. I won’t be able to follow the diet (steroids and renal diet) or the exercise plans but I’m in for the community and support. Is that ok?

FuckItPassMeTheWine · 22/09/2018 19:26

@TheGonnagle welcome ! ☺️And of course it is !💛 everyone is at different stages and it’s useful to have somewhere to post about your recent successes . You rejoining the gym is fabulous and I can’t wait to hear about your progress Smilexx

Right I have rejoined gym!
Have let diet slip unfortunately this weekend
He left me for a woman almost 20 years younger, he’s with her tonight as her partner at a big event.
I cannot believe what the hell has happened to my life.
Need to shape up and get my self esteem back.

ResistanceIsNecessary · 23/09/2018 08:56

Ooglies have a bloody firm hug from me. What a tosser he is. I know it hurts like fuck now, but I promise it does get better Flowers

FuckItPassMeTheWine · 23/09/2018 09:46

@Ooglies I’m so sorry to hear that ! Flowers What a fucking shit bag he is! Men like that deserve all the bad karma that comes their way! You on the other hand have already lost approx 13 stone of dead weight so congrats! And welcome to the thread 💛 xx

Hi OP and everyone,
Just did first fasted cardio in about 2 years- cross trainer for 20 mins.
Then did part of the arm workout (will aim to complete it tonight with the home one).
Feel great to have done it.
Thank you OP for the inspiration!

Mai5x · 24/09/2018 07:52

Okay so my change starts today.... I've started a squat challenge to slowly ease myself into exercise 😂!

What is a good healthy breakfast?! I always get stuck on meals!x

FuckItPassMeTheWine · 24/09/2018 08:23

@Bosabosa well done on completing your fasted cardio! Amazing Smile just completed mine too! Xx

@Mai5x hiya lovely and welcome to the thread . Omelettes with only two yolks are good , you can add peppers and ham too. Scrambled egg with only one yolk and the rest egg whites mixed with mushrooms and/or smoked salmon with avocado is also nice. Or oats with a protein shake xx

Morning just dropping in to say I'm following and excellent thread. But more than that, I work out about 5 days a week, so was just reading the thread out of curiousity, I do weights and cardio, however I was aware I wasn't really doing squats optimally, more the lazy ass version.

So based on your squat advice, I tried it Saturday, went all the way down to backside on a step. Only did three sets of five with weights.

My upper thighs have been in agony now since then.... 🤣🤣🤣

FuckItPassMeTheWine · 24/09/2018 09:06

@Bluntness100 aw thanks ! Glad you find it a useful thread Smile 💛.
Pleased you found the box squats to be working ! If you ache a bit the next day you know it done the job. I was doing lazy squats for a year and was always thinking “why am i not seeing faster progress” , I then found out about box squats from one of my bodybuilding friends . Leg days haven’t been the same since 😅😂 xx

FuckItPassMeTheWine I had scrambled egg and a slice of wholemeal toast, hopefully it fills me up til lunch!

Would you say box squats are better than normal squats?

FuckItPassMeTheWine · 24/09/2018 09:47

@Mai5x yes box squats essentially mean you go lower & because you pause you then have to push right up from a lower position this enables maximum glute activation. By doing this you getting the full benefit from the exercise xx

FuckItPassMeTheWine What warm up would you suggest for the home workout?

Justtheoneplease · 24/09/2018 10:03

FuckItPassMeTheWine · 24/09/2018 10:50

@Enigmam hello ☺️, I do some all over stretches and some jogging on the spot for 2/3 mins . I’ve attached some stretching ideas. Xx

@Justtheoneplease welcome to the thread lovely Smile , you planning to do some cardio or a work out today? Xx

Justtheoneplease · 24/09/2018 11:45

Well I've just totally blitzed the kitchen, cleaned the fridge and all the cupboardz out, washed all the floors downstairs. Have two dogs to walk (separately), so after that I will try. I have been trying to power walk with the eldest dog, the other is a pup so only walks for 15 mins at the moment.

Bluntness100 · 24/09/2018 11:59

Yes, they definitely work, thanks for that, I will be doing them each time I do squats now. No point play acting at it, and if you're going to do it do it properly, it's better to do a few and make it count than many and make no difference,..

I'm surprised at the fact I'm sore, as my lower body I'd have said the most toned, so it just goes to show.

Ps, I'm really impressed with your before pics. Interested too in core exercises when you get to those.

Ooglies · 24/09/2018 12:02

Done cardio today 30min
Had yoghurt for breakfast a banana as snack
2 boiled eggs for lunch

FuckItPassMeTheWine · 24/09/2018 13:03

@Justtheoneplease brilliant work! Well done , it’s a lovely day too for a dog walk (Atleast it is where I am) xx

@Bluntness100 happy to help and yes I’ll be posting a core work out too Smile xx

@Ooglies good going 👍🏼, I love boiled eggs , they’re so quick and are a decent protein hit 😬xx

Hi OP

I just want to say I think I love you!

Have recently lost 20lbs in 4 months. Got another stone to go as I’m STUCK at 10st, it’s driving me batso. Been seeing a personal trainer for a few months but am at a loss as to what to do during the week when I don’t see him.

Your workouts look perfect, I’m going to go for the arm workout tonight. Ive also started the fasted cardio & feel healthier already 😁.

Please don’t stop posting, can’t wait to see your progress too x

FuckItPassMeTheWine · 24/09/2018 15:30

@Idontseeit aww what a lovely thing to say! Yes I will indeed keep posting. 😊 Does your personal trainer provide you with you workouts or is it a just pay on the session basis ? I’ve found that some trainers purposely slowly delay a clients progress so that the client stays with them and hence pays them for longer. Not saying that this is happening in your case , just something to be mindful of Smile I’ve been around a lot of gyms and hear this being done all the time xx
