Husband called me this:

Context: I brought in slightly damp washing and then didn't prostrate myself with sorrow when he wanted it rewashing now.

He threw washing basket across room and called me a "Lazy Fat Cunt".

Now he might have w point about washing, but I can't get over the language.

Feeling a bit WTF, to be honest.

Just wanted to get it down.

I'm very very very sad. Feel a total failure.

And he is relying on this.

The truth is that HE is the failure here, not you.

Thamesis · 25/08/2018 19:43

See a solicitor. If you're married then you have certain rights. And yes to calling Women's Aid - he is abusive and you need support to leave, when you're ready.

parkinpig · 25/08/2018 19:50

This will make you laugh/grimace. I went downstairs. He has picked his washing out of the pile on the floor, left mine and the towels there.

Moron.

He is a hideous person and will be sad and lonely and a bully forever.

You on the other hand can move, and get a new job and if you choose lose weight. And believe me we come in all shapes and sizes, so in reality who gives a fuck.

He’s a sad excuse for a human.

Leave, go see your family and get some good legal advice. You’re entitled to stuff! Don’t be frightened of him.

In one year from now you’ll be in such a happier place. He on the other hand will still be a horror.

Atalune · 25/08/2018 19:52

What a child

Super sadddo.

Let him get back on his gamer box like the man baby he is.

Fuck him!

BuntyII · 25/08/2018 19:54

Urgh he really is a pathetic worm isn't he. LTB

HerRoyalNotness · 25/08/2018 20:11

If you feel very overwhelmed by leaving you don’t have to do it today or the next week. Take pressure off yourself.

How long ago were you made redundant? What sort of skills do you have? Start looking at jobs you can do and start applying. Even if it’s locally for now until you get on your feet a bit, it might be less stressful than factoring a big move to a new city.

parkinpig · 25/08/2018 20:15

I'm playing Arctic Monkeys and Pulp very loud. I know it's childish too. Literally blocking him out.

OP posts:
Kittykat93 · 25/08/2018 20:15

Op that doesn't make me laugh. It makes me feel sick that he's treating you like that Thanks I wish you all the best and will pray you leave that horrible nasty arsewipe.

Thebluedog · 25/08/2018 20:16

You are bit the failure here, he is

helpawomanout · 25/08/2018 20:17

Be childish.

Fratellis were always my choice of block out music, accompanied with a large glass of wine Wine

parkinpig · 25/08/2018 20:17

I was PA to a politician in London. Made redundant in Spring.

whattimeislove · 25/08/2018 20:26

Go and see a solicitor next week. No one should live like this. A move to Manchester may be just what you need.

AynRandTheObjectivist · 25/08/2018 20:26

I'm very very very sad. Feel a total failure.

Why? For realising you're married to an irredeemably thundering backside and actually getting out and getting ready for a turd-free life?

Sounds like a pretty major success to me.

Mary1935 · 25/08/2018 20:29

OP - he’s is a very inadequate abusive manchild! He’s a bully and a pig.
Fly away from him when your ready. Why no sex? There has been issues for a while with him. Ignore him.🌺🌺

LouHotel · 25/08/2018 20:40

OP are you actively seeking worm at the moment? I think that should be your first point of call.

He's making it clear that he doesn't want to be with you and wants you to leave so why isn't he starting divorce proceedings? I would guess he's looked into the situation and knows he's got something to lose and is hoping you'll just walk away.

Lawyer up but focus on your career prospects

Atalune · 25/08/2018 21:17

youre so freaking employable!!!

That was your last job? Get talking to some recruiters!

Coyoacan · 25/08/2018 22:21

youre so freaking employable!!!

Indeed

Enjoy the Artic Monkeys and start planning your new life, OP.

namechangedbcos · 25/08/2018 22:24

I am cheering for you, OP, for deciding to leave that asshole! Do it sooner than later, how dare he insult you like that, he doesn't deserve you, you deserve a life better than this asshole has made for you now.... run run run, don't look back, YOU CAN DO IT! You don't have kids, im sure you know what a great advantage that is in this situation, go on, dump this man child and make a life for yourself without this moron, all my best Flowers

Chocolate123 · 25/08/2018 22:31

You have no dc so you can easily walk away and start again. If this was your best friend or sister and they asked you for advice what would you say? I'm sure you'd say leave immediately

Tistheseason17 · 25/08/2018 22:33

You are not a failure.
You are just in a shitty situation and you've started to take the small steps out.
You are not alone Flowers

proudbrows · 25/08/2018 22:50

I was married to someone similar OP, I fucked him off and never looked back. I now lead a happy successful life despite him too saying I would be in the gutter, he in contrast is totally on his arse with no real friends and multiple health problems due to his drug and alcohol use and still sends me grovelling messages begging me to take him back 4 years later! (To which I never respond- he doesn’t deserve even the time it takes to write a response!) You can do this, we are all rooting for you!!!

KickAssAngel · 25/08/2018 22:53

I'm wondering if the reason you're in debt is because he keeps all his money to himself instead of supporting you after you've been made redundant?

You used to be a PA to a politician!! Maybe it's one of those jobs that sounds more glamorous than it is, but that sounds phenomenal. Put that on your CV and start looking for some other work that will be exciting/fun/adventurous.

DownTownAbbey · 25/08/2018 23:05

Being child free and free to start again anywhere you want to is a truly liberating thing. Luxuriate in your infinite options whilst the twat tumbles his smalls. Don't forget you can get temp work and that you might be eligible for tax credits when you get sorted. You're understandably upset right now. If you can get angry- or better still detatch - you'll find it easier to see your options. Don't let the bastard grind you down Flowers

AcrossthePond55 · 25/08/2018 23:14

Your job experience seems to me to qualify you for a wide range of jobs.

Or maybe you should write a book! Wink
