How do I make him notice me?

There is a guy I walk past on my way to work in the mornings. Over the last 10 months I'm sure there has been eye contact and a flash of something between us. One of my friends said when we walked past he's looked at me a number of times. This week I plucked the courage to go up and buy something of his but he didn't make any conversation
How do I make him notice me? I always make the effort with my clothes, make up and hair. He's gorgeous and maybe seems a bit shy. Help

If I ask the colleague that it would be 100% obvious.. it would be cringing. Couldn't bring myself to. I'll find out, but not that way..

Maybe he is like this with lots of women. Maybe it's a way of drumming up trade? That would explain his nonchalance when you did approach him

Its hard to explain, maybe I've made it sound like there is loads of staring at each other every day - its not been like that. Its not blatant.. just little flashes of eye contact. Id say there been 5 or 6 instances where we've caught each others eye usually from quite a way off since I've started going that route since January. More so in recent months. He is usually busy and not looking all around trying to catch womens eyes etc. Because ive been going on about him to my friend in work she coaxed me for us to go to get coffee from him a few weeks ago.. we stood there in the queue there was about 8 people in front of us and she said it was noticeable him keep glancing at me around the queue of customers when we were Stood there. Maybe he does chat to loads of women? It wouldnt bother me, you cant spend your life wondering how many women a man is chatting to throughout the day. I chat to loads of men all day long, doesnt mean anything. I work with mostly men and it would pee off if a guy I met got jealous about that, in fact id probably have to shut it down as that kind of insecurity would be unbearable!
