DH has died and MN Aunties are keeping things ticking over (Juan)

Thinking of her on Sunday/Monday as always.

Sat down for quick cuppa. Been attacking upstairs huge bundle of washing from kids room, done bathroom and dry washing. Now got another load to hang up to replace it😀 no point putting it out it's so damp and drizzly. Can hardly see kichen floor for washing, thanks kids.

I love Kirsty Allsop as a rule love her crafty programmes but her comments about washing machines in the kitchen peed me off. If she wants to pay for a big farmhouse for me like she has with a utility room I would absolutely love it otherwise shut up!

Have list of things to do doubt will get through it all today.

Haha book, went to bed - couldn't sleep! Have felt tired all day today as a result.

Good News! The car seems to be ok according to the garage, so fingers crossed it is and no huge bill They delivered it back home a while ago so that's good.

Got some of my list done. Baked plain & cheese scones and choc buns and cleared up the mess ( why do I do it?) And yet more washing.

Discovered TWD season 7 is on Now tv for free ha ha sod Amazon I was all ready to pay for it😀 so watched 1st episode before school time as ds2 ain't watching that one. Now we are settled in for some more😀

Sometimes everything cam seem okay and then grief just wallops me. No idea what's triggered it but am in tears now.

squirrels . It's odd how it suddenly gets you, isn't it. Sometimes I do wish people weren't being kind, I know that's not how I really feel, but it sets me off . Maybe the weather? Change of season? Remembering what was happening this time last year? Whatever - hugs.

Really getting dark early now Squirrels I couldn't see where I was going when out jogging last night as it was so dark and the brand new street lights aren't working thankfully only for a street length and I used the torch on my phone.

Back home after picking up DGS, feeding folk and bathtime :)
Willow peer pressure over PE - a good result!. One of my friends has a tiny kitchen - she took out the bath in the bathroom and put a shower in, then hid a washing machine and a stacked tumble drier in a cupboard in there. ( no help for you really, as its rented I think?) . Have a great day tomorrow - don't stress over it tonight and not sleep , either!
Horse - thats good news on the car ! I am always tired after a long drive - I think I must tense my muscles , and its hard to get them to relax. And a bit of worry over DS maybe, hoping he is okay I bet .
Oh Chasing - I wish I could give you a real (hug) - I think it must be harder when you are supposed to be 'getting over it' and 'coping well' :(
Cake - you have enough on your hands ! I have always done my knitting/crotchet to order until now .
Selena - I'm very lucky that I can take things at my own pace -I never feel busy, just I don't like to have time on my hands.
Yes , so dark now . I still thank goodness every day for not needing to go to work anymore - going out in the dark, and getting home in the dark is so depressing.

Am devastated that 'my' cafe is closed until further notice due to property issues. That's my second home 😀 what am I to do tomorrow for my lunch break?

Well done Willow!!! I too have a 'my' cafe. If they close I'll be utterly and totally lost!

My case has been collected, I walked 7 miles on the volunteering path lab run, tiler is here, been to brother's for 'healthy' lunch. Now feel ready for bed.

Course you did Willow, it was never in question!

Only 4 hens in the run the morning. Newbie brown one was missing, had a quick look but couldn't see her and had to go to a meeting, get into my car and there she is on the road, so back out and rounded her up! I'm guessing she came down off the tree outside of the run.
On the plus side today's egg from newbie leghorn was 59g - the first one was 40g - and looks more like a proper sized egg.

Thanks all you have more confidence in me than I have 😀 I did forget to sign out the attendance/fire sheet though must remember tomorrow.

I am tired today to for some reason. Early bed tonight (laughs hysterically ) going to 'work' longer tomorrow.

Might have to go to Costa for my lunch break coffee. Thier almond croissants are terrible compared to cafe Nero I will not be happy. And the staff are lovely and chatty will miss them too. I could try a local cafe but ones I have tried so far were not inspiring and one is all windows not very relaxing. Am too set in my ways. 😀

Willow - it will be so much easier tomorrow, now that is done - shame about the favourite coffee shop though. Its true what you say about donations - DH has just started doing PAT testing for a charity shop, and the stuff that gets given - from truly horrendous to nearly brand new stuff - its an eye opener, thats for sure.
Selena - that sounds like a hard day , but at least the tiler came when he said he would :)

Willow, glad the job went well, who knows what it could lead to?

I just HATE arguing with the kids, and there is no one else around to act as a buffer.

I think I'm just carrying on with life, but deep down I'm waiting for my life to get back to normal - and basically it won't. What will happen is a new normal will gradually emerge and start to take the place of the old one.
Sorry about this, but death just fucking sucks.

Yes it does and there is no right way for you to get through it. Only what works for you. And you know what sometimes it doesn't and you hit a bump in the road. You are amazing and dont you forget it. I totally get the kids arguing not having someone to back you up. Sometimes it feels like a thankless task.

Horse I agree I am ever hopefull. Have done a bit of research on something at home because the stupid charity has so many websites blocked you can't look up something properly. Hopefully it will show I am serious about the work.

Squirrels again. I want to tell DH about the heating man rambling on and on about the joys of warm air central heating - he'd have loved it. I want to ask him about whether the flooring I've chosen really is the right colour. I want him to wash my car. I want to hug him. I want to moan at him. I want to laugh with him. I want his logical mind and skill to put things right that I get flummoxed by.

So I yell at his photo instead. It doesn't really help. But I want it to.
