Shagged my boss

...Actually, my bosses boss Shock. Last night we went for a "quick pint" which turned into an extremely drunken session and we ended up in bed. I'm so ashamed. I've fancied him for a while and he's a really nice guy but never thought for one minute anything would happen. Certainly not hopping into bed with him without a few dates first!! What do I do before I next see him, call him and just check everything's cool and that things won't be awkward?? Or just act like it never happened??

Phone him and ask when he is taking you ring shopping. Let him squirm a bit before you let him off the hook.

Yeah I don't get it, why would he be legally liable?? That's why I thought maybe American... I'm British and we're much more accepting of shagging in the workplace here. It would also make sense of why you didn't really get my British humour in the way I exaggerated... probably not EVERYONE I work with is 🙃 And it's definitely not a sexual discriminative workforce, lastly I'm not an idiot!

On a more serious note I once snogged my boss and he turned into the bunny boiler, wanted me to go on secret weekends away and all that, wouldn't stop mithering me. Had to put my foot down in the end- it was only a drunken snog For f's sake. He also marked me down in my performance review and my Team Leader ended up having a stand up row with him about it. (As my performance was great). Awks.

So best to nip it in the bud now - even if he was a good shag Wink

Maybe it's because I've only ever had extremely drunk sex with a twentysomething partner. But my experience of that has been that getting hard is no problem, finishing within a respectable period of time is more the issue. I thought that was quite common?

I'm American and shagging the boss IS really looked down on. But more in a 'sleeping your way to the top' or being suspected of doing it for favouritism than in a strictly 'moral' way, iyswim.

Sex between peers or someone who is in management but not your direct boss (meaning it won't affect your coworkers) is a different thing.

Some of these responses are weird, given most adults spend most of their waking hours in work, it does follow that co-workers often end up in relationships or just sleeping together.
