Well "we've all been in a yellow Submarine, yellow Submarine, yellow Submarine"😀 that was great fun saw loads of fish, wrecks and old ruins of pavements, columns and pottery. And the pills worked😀 Damm hot, kids desperate to go in pool but a just wanna sleep 😀 woke up every damm hour must have been worried we would sleep in. Bet there isn't a sunbed with a parasol left!

Just having a lazy day Cake, watching the Gaelic football on tv at the moment. DH had work this morning. DS2 not feeling well since yesterday, sick and headachey. He was supposed to be doing an athletics thing today but didn't feel up to it. It's so cold here now. We might pop to the local for something to eat later.

Nice meal. Weird circumstances. I don't want to go out for Sunday lunch with a group of people I don't know. But that's how you get to know people. So ...

Thanks for the hugs. Feels a bit fraudulent, it's not like I'm not coping, I am, I'm getting on with life and things are ticking along but there is just this big gap.

I did think yesterday when I was with ds1 at the archery course that maybe I should have done it as well and it would be something to do. But then it isn't something I'm actually interested in I'd just be doing it for the sake of it. But I don't know what I am interested in. And then it's round in circles.

Chasing - I think its worth a 'try it and see' attitude to a lot of unknown things in truth - a bit like with youngsters - how will you know until you have tried. You may not find anything, but you never know - something may just fire up your interest .
Jane - hope your DS is feeling better
well, this week is going to be a bit calmer, after tomorrow anyway . The diary has been -disrupted rearranged for the next two days. Am heading over to DD's this afternoon, picking up DGS from preschool and staying overnight so that I can take him to a extra school thing in the morning tomorrow. Not even sure if its a morning , or all day thing yet. Then back home . But first I need to go and pick blackcurrants before the rain tomorrow, put some washing in and iron .

Yes, 5:30! and throat still sore, but I've been too busy to worry too much.

I had a chance to meet with Juan for an hour this morning and she sends all her love. She feels bad that's she's not posting on here (Have told her sternly not to) but thinks of you all and sends her love.

good luck with the school session book - a privilege to be so involved in the big day

99% sure I'm baking tomorrow for DD's school - just going to double check what they want as they just sent a random text on Friday. Other than that I'm meeting a friend for a walk and chat cake

just a quick head around the door .
Have been busy at DD's, just about to get a hot drink and head for bed , ready for tomorrow - it would seem we are going to be meeting animals and insects tomorrow - (I think I maybe prefer the baking to meeting lizards , a guinea pig a skunk, an african land snail , a snake and stick insects !)

The undertaker came today and seems to have sorted nearly everything. So typical and lovely, DH was aircraft mad - and the young (to me) chatty undertaker knew every model we have!

Funeral not till a week on Friday - other days had slots of 10 or 3.30, neither of which very good when people live away. Can't register the death until this Friday. Good job we're not in a rush!

Selena glad you have arrangements sorted. Hope you are OK.

Cake glad you met up with Juan and assured her she mustn't feel that she has to post & certainly shouldn't feel bad about it. We are all thinking of her & are here if she needs us.

That seems a long time before you can register the death Selena but it's good you have a date for the funeral and can make the arrangements.

Ds2 had the 1st of his secondary school induction days today, with the 2nd tomorrow. They are at their dad's tonight so I haven't seen him but when I messaged Ds1 he said Ds2 seemed to have enjoyed it.
I've been to the new parents evening and got the form list - they were in their school groups today and go into their form groups tomorrow. They tend to pair them up with someone else from primary (small primary with only about 16 in his year group, secondary is 8 form (of 30) intake. He is paired with a boy he has always been friends with so that's good.
Chatted with a mum I know afterwards them went to the pub with my friend for a couple of hours - we both nursed 1 soft drink, lol.

Arrangements aren't much fun Selena, but I'm glad they are in hand.
John's funeral was such a lovely day (that's such an odd thing to say), marred only by him not being there - he would have loved it, so many people who cared for him. Life is messed up.
