Hi all - you started this thread over 2 weeks ago and I only just found it - took me soooo long to read through it all I've no time to write much. you'll have to start no 3 soon!!!
Sorry to hear things no better with you all, and hi to lmo3 & lm.
Don't know what to say except that things tend to be definitely worse with babies around - men feel ignored etc (sorry REB!).
Take care all (lots of hugs)

gettingthere · 15/07/2004 22:28

hi everyone - what's all this about washing floors? some of us think that germs etc build up the immune system - or something like that! either way - life's too short! I tend to do it in a panic when critical people are likely to turn up and say things like "well, obviously, you are very busy, don't worry about the state of the house........" So i envy all you organised people out there!

Well, tiring day at work, BUT am meeting lovely man on Sunday, so am looking forward to that. And have been to the gym again so it really won't be very fair if I'm not fit soon. However there was a very fit blonde in the gym, a few years younger than my own self, who tackled every machine with no effort for what seemed like hours on end. Not fair, I thought. AND she was tanned to boot!

REB - where is that list sweetie pie??

Off to bed now. Sweet dreams

hey hey getting there, if the feeling fit thing is making you feel better, sod the blonde

lemonade · 16/07/2004 12:45

bobs - Hi! Good to hear from you! Thank you for keeping in touch with us. I appreciate it.

gettingthere - Hi! I hope you have a lovely day on the w/e with your chap. Thanks for the "Sod the housework!" back-up. Why do I have several fanatically houseproud friends in RL? It's not fair! It would be much better if they didn't live locally, too!

REB - The list?!! I'll do it if you will.

reallyembarrassedbut · 16/07/2004 16:05

Lemonade, thanks, but i think not

lemonade · 16/07/2004 17:03

REB - Ok.

The weekend is here and it's the hols!!!!!!!!

gettingthere · 16/07/2004 20:59

REB and lemonade - thanks for your comments. I'm definitely into the sod the blonde and sod the housework mode. Love it!! Although I've never met either of you - this feels like a thread of friends, which is really nice. Hi bobs - welcome to the thread!

Off to have glass of wine now and plan weekend!

take care

gettingthere - Hi! Yes, I think of us as a group of friends, too!

I take it that you're not blonde yourself, then! Mine isn't 100% natural. One day in the hairdressers an old lady said of dd "Oooh, hasn't she got lovely blonde hair! Just like her Mum!" It was all the hairdresser and I could do to keep a straight face as it's the hairdresser who colours it for me!

Have a great w/e, especially on Sunday! l xx

lemonade · 17/07/2004 16:18

Branster - Thanks for your support! I'm just plodding on quietly. I'm looking forward to the summer holidays! As I said before, I love board games, card games and jigsaw puzzles and I hope to spend lots of time with the kids just playing, cooking, going for walks, etc! l xx

gettingthere · 18/07/2004 01:28

hi everyone, i haven't posted here recently because I've simply been too exhausted, but quite happily so most of the time. In order to take my mind off relationship stuff a bit, I've joined the gym! Had to buy new (pink) trainers, and pulse was so high before exercising they made me sit down (all due to anxiety about the gym!!). So perhaps I'll replace sex with exercise...on the other hand i may find i may need more than exercise which could be a bit of a problem! I agree with Branster - this is a good thread - although we all have problems with similarities and differences, everyone on here is very positive, despite our bad days.

lemonade - you have inspired me to declutter. the amount of mess around is too too much, but no matter how much i clear it doesn't seem to make any difference. I, unfortunately, would rather read the paper than tidy up, which doesn't help a lot.

Take care everyone

ok - so have you all started a thread somewhere else? come back!!!!! (loud echoes) pleeeeeeeese?

OP posts:
lemonade · 19/07/2004 01:18

gettingthere - Sorry, I've been trying to put my money where my mouth is - I've been tidying up! Thanks for the messages, gettingthere. I've missed you when you've not been here on the thread! Good to hear from you again! I'll write properly tomorrow. l xx

reallyembarrassedbut · 19/07/2004 20:08

evening all - how are we?

gettingthere · 19/07/2004 21:31

this is really odd - i didn't post these recent messages - well i did, but weeks ago, not today or yesterday! i think the same is true for other people's comments. Now i'm not sure if i'm in a parallel universe! Help, help

OP posts:
lemonade · 19/07/2004 22:18

gettingthere - Hmm, I can see what you mean! Weird or what!

Anyway, I know that you know that I'm not one for gossip or anything, but how was your weekend? (I'd prefer to use the old wink, but I don't know how!) l xx

reallyembarrassedbut · 19/07/2004 22:57

i have noticed a few other threads appear to have repeated like, erm, some repeating thing - and i'm not drunk

lemonade · 20/07/2004 10:58

REB - So it's not just us, then? I bet that will cause some confusion!

So, REB, how are you? l xx

gettingthere · 20/07/2004 21:26

my weekend was....great!! actually, i don't know if I should admit to this (well i know i shouldn't) but we had a really good time, including some great sex half way up a hillside! First time I've done that in years and years. And so i feel very mellow and relaxed. I was a little worried though when i looked at mumsnet yesterday and got totally confused!!

REB, lemonade - how are you both??

OP posts:
lemonade · 20/07/2004 22:22

gettingthere - Hi! Sounds like a good weekend, then! I'm glad you had a good time with your chap! Nothing like it to give you that 'alive' feeling!

As for me, I'm feeling a bit despondent. Better go, I've got an early start tomorrow. Bye for now, l xx

gettingthere · 21/07/2004 12:15

lemonade - I'm sorry you're despondent. Is there something which has triggered it? You've seemed very upbeat recently. I'm around later on this evening, and will pop back to this thread then. Hang on in there, and big hugs.

hi all, no real news here, just wanted a quick head count, make sure no one has eloped or anything interesting

gettingthere · 21/07/2004 20:30

REB - hiya - we're all still here. How are you at the moment??

Lemonade - hello? how are you?

OP posts:
reallyembarrassedbut · 21/07/2004 21:14

fine - no arguments, but sort of given up with anything else, you?

lonelymumof3 · 21/07/2004 21:16

things started getting better and thought i had cracked it.... but its all gone pear shaped again.....so no....nothing interesting this end!!!

reallyembarrassedbut · 21/07/2004 22:16

well, hang on, that sounds a bit like progress - want to tell us?
