In short, you photograph a happy thing every day for 100 days, and share it on fb/twitter/by email with the website.
Who's in? #100happydays

peppa sorry I haven't posted on the other thread. Sorry it's so tough with your partner. You are approaching things so well and should listen to your little DD because it will be exciting Smile.

Boundaries · 06/01/2017 20:07

I didn't take his photo though Bit 😂

He's been back in touch but I don't know how I feel about it to be honest. Just trying to focus on me and the children. Even if he was 100% wanting to be with me I would still question why I suppose given all that has happened, which I know he is doing too. He keeps saying he doesn't know why (part of me) still wants to reconcile.

JudithTaverner · 06/01/2017 20:37

hello everyone. Gosh Peppa, sounds really tough. When is the baby due? Can you wait until afterwards to make a decision? I wasn't with my exH when I had my last baby and it was fine actually. hard, but then again a new born is.

Im on day 10 and it's been a good day. I think this is a good exercise for seeing happiness in lots of things - even just walking down the street playing music. Anyway, my 100happydays thing today was coffee with a group of my friends (can always be relied upon to slag off the ex - very entertaining!). But also had a lovely cycle ride, run (in the rain!) and birthday tea with my children. And my builders are back from their holiday making lots of progress on the house too which is really exciting! Just call me Pollyanna!

(I can't see the hashtag on my macbook keyboard - where is it?!).

peppatax · 06/01/2017 20:55

Judith all your exercise is really motivating! Think I'm going to use that as a guaranteed happy day option.

Not until June - so time to sort something out with him. I'm not worried about being on my own, I have wonderful support from friends and family it's more the emotional side of being in an unpredictable relationship.

I'm so blessed to have one amazing DD, I can't wait to double that even if it is twice the work then I'll be ready!

TheTapir · 07/01/2017 17:12

Day 10: I went to see Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them at the cinema. I was intending to go alone but when I said what I was doing this afternoon, my mum asked if she could come too.

Boundaries · 07/01/2017 17:15

I ran! Hooray! Felt brilliant Grin

Well done Boundaries :)

Roodolf · 07/01/2017 18:43

Sorry, I've not been posting.
Today's is not a picture I'm going to share on Instagram - so you can hear the 'word picture' anonymously! I managed some minor surgery on my big toe - it's been painful for ages, months, maybe a year. I've had to have it removed twice. It'd started ingrowing and also I had haemorrhage trapped under - I have managed to release both the ingrown spike and the pressure. The relief! It's sooo much less sore.
I have taken a photo - for my eyes only, I think!

Boundaries · 07/01/2017 18:55

You did the surgery yourself Roo? Or did I misunderstand?

I'm both grossed out and impressed in equal measure if so! Grin

That must have felt so good Roodolf!

I just had leftover Boxing Day curry for my dinner - made me so happy. It was even better than I remember it, must have been too full to enjoy it on Boxing Day Smile

JudithTaverner · 07/01/2017 19:04

Hello all. Well done Boundaries! It's fab isn't it? (just trying to muster up enthusiasm for a run here).

Roo Shock er, lovely?!

Mine for today was I joined a cycling club and went for a long ride this morning. It was so nice to meet new people (who were all really friendly) and also do a proper cycle ride. My legs hurt a little bit now, but I'm so glad I did it. I'm exhausted now though.

I'm feeling a little low this evening (about the ex) but know that this is a phase and it will pass.

Right, must go for a very short run

Boundaries · 07/01/2017 19:08

Mmmmmmcurry..,,

Roodolf · 08/01/2017 09:44

Yes, myself Blush sorry Judith!
I'll try and choose more conventional things in future.
But I am walking better this morning (disabled after an accident 5 yrs ago - was not expected to walk properly so even such little things are pretty huge!) and suitably in awe of all this running!

peppatax · 08/01/2017 14:07

I weighed myself today and haven't put on any weight since my 12 week scan the first week in December Grin So feeling very happy right now as it feels my careful eating and exercise is actually paying off!

Boundaries · 08/01/2017 14:54

Wooo! That's good Peppa - it's lovely when hard work pays off!

I ran this morning AND did an abs workout Grin

JudithTaverner · 08/01/2017 15:37

I just ran too

Went to see George Michaels house on the way! (#groupie)

Made me feel much better

TheTapir · 08/01/2017 17:44

Another runner here. I did my first Great Run Local 5k for a few weeks and saw a heron as we ran along the river.

Then this afternoon I fed the ducks with my niece :)

I've actually had a really lovely day.

Boundaries · 08/01/2017 17:52

Lovely, Tapir. What is the Great Run 5k?

OP posts:
TheTapir · 08/01/2017 18:07

It's like Park Run - a weekly 5km run in my local country park. I haven't been for a while due to Christmas and generally feeling down so it was nice to be back.

peppatax · 08/01/2017 21:14

I will try and find something non-exercise to be happy about tomorrow as I'm having a rest day. DD is back at school so hopefully she'll have a good day and that will make me happy.

TheTapir · 09/01/2017 17:31

Struggling a bit today for day 11 but I have just put fresh bedding on, so that's my happy thing for today.

JudithTaverner · 09/01/2017 17:51

I'm struggling today too. Really horrid weather plus tube strike and dentist!

But had a moment that was lovely when I was cycling home. I went by a school and a mother with 2 children waited for me to cycle by. She gave me such a lovely smile that it made me smile. So a small moment, but it was a nice interlude in a sea of grottiness.

Will run later, but I'm not sure that will fill me with joy really! (and it may be the shortest run ever).

peppatax · 09/01/2017 20:40

My DD let out a massive burp after tea and was so shocked she dissolved into a proper giggling fit and I couldn't help but laugh.

peppatax · 09/01/2017 20:40

It really is the small things today!
