In short, you photograph a happy thing every day for 100 days, and share it on fb/twitter/by email with the website.

The frost this morning gave me THE JOY!

It turned everything beautiful.

My happy thing was that I was back at work today with a new team and had a great day, time just flew by Grin

Boundaries · 03/01/2017 19:55

Yay!

I absolutely love this little happiness thing.

Boundaries - that reminds me of a wonderful quote 'put yourself in the way of beauty'

That's a lovely quote faff. And wise advice.

Today I made it to a kettlercise class.

Bitlessbahhumbug · 03/01/2017 20:20

Revealing how little is going in my life....

We got the bus instead of car into city centre today. A few neighbours, mainly pensioners are always at bus stop. They were excited to see DC and chat with them. Makes the place feel a bit homely. DC loved it.

Boundaries · 03/01/2017 20:23

Kettlecise is this an exercise class based on cups of tea? I could totes get on board with that!!

Ha boundaries that would be much nicer. It's not a very big happy thing but after my first day back in the office it's all I could think of, plus I am pleased with myself for going.

Boundaries · 03/01/2017 20:42

I think happy things that are good for you are worth double happy.

Because you're happy from the happy thing AND you get endorphins from the good.

Day 8 for me. Quite hard today, but I had a lovely lunch with a friend and also cycled into work ( which I really love). Other than that a really tough day today.

Get to cycle home in a minute which will be nice, and hopefully run later on. I need to find some other things that give me joy I think.

Boundaries · 04/01/2017 16:30

I am exhausted.

I'm still working on a joyful thing but I suspect it might be my bed Grin

Exercise is an amazing thing for lifting my mood. Sunshine helps too mind

TheTapir · 04/01/2017 17:44

I'm not sure what to do about a photo but today's happy thing is getting a message from a supportive friend who was checking that I am ok.

peppatax · 04/01/2017 17:52

I know what you mean Judith as my happy thing was my early morning run which I don't do often but enjoy. Think I need to expand happy things beyond exercise too and things related to other people x

JudithTaverner · 04/01/2017 19:36

Evening run brilliant ! Fastest yet. If nothing else I'll be very fit at the end of the 100 days

Boundaries · 04/01/2017 19:41

Can someone please chase me out the door to run at some point before I return to a state of not being able too?

Ahem. Sorry. Will return to positivity.

Actually feeling a lot more positive overall today. The sun helps massively.

hope you're all finding happiness in stuff.

TheTapir · 05/01/2017 17:10

Day 8 for me and today I finished work at lunchtime to have a productive meeting and then I managed a run outside, in the daylight!

peppatax · 05/01/2017 21:43

I've got two things!

Firstly, I got my DD new notebook and 2 pens from the stationary cupboard at work (she's a stationary geek too) so she's going to be thrilled tomorrow!

Secondly, I overtook a guy in the fast lane who kept starting just as I was turning. He was not so chuffed being overtaken by the pregnant lady Grin

TheTapir · 06/01/2017 18:12

Day 9 and I have two things.

Firstly a late surprise Christmas present from my aunt including a diary "to fill with lots of new adventures and things that make you happy"

Also, we have a new young man at work. He sent me an email with my name spelled incorrectly, then a couple of minutes later sent another apologising and correcting himself. So many people spell my name wrongly and don't notice. It made me smile, he seems like a nice person.

Stationery is ALWAYS good.

Helped out a colleague today. That made me v happy.

Oops. I've been forgetting to post. Despite difficult week with ex I have had "big" moments of happiness throwing themselves at me this week.

Weds. An impromptu coffee/play at another mum's house.

An enquiry about my availability for some work from someone I worked with quite a few years ago. I don't know if it's happening yet but just the thought of it is exciting.

Yesterday I set the table properly and had dinner with my DC. Was lovely.

Today my youngest let me cut his crazy mop of hair for the first time and he looks so cute. Really adorable.

You are all inspiring me to do some exercise. But I might walk to the shop for some wine and nuts tonight. Exercise tomorrow!

It's great to read the updates. I think photos should be posted when fancy things are bought though!

How lovely.

peppatax · 06/01/2017 19:58

I had a lovely walk with DD and she was telling me all the things she's excited about for when the baby gets here. To everyone else I'll be on my own with 2 children and all worry but to her, she can't wait for our 2 to become 3.
