I don't know what to do. I work in a smallish team and we all get on really well. I was at university with my immediate boss about 10 years ago, we knew each other, but not all that well and I hadn't seen him until I started this job last year. I have just come out of a 5 year relationship and he has been single for the last year or so since his engagement broke up. We were working late to meet a dealine last night and were joking around, I have no idea what came over us but we were both being a little flirty and we ended up kissing. I went back to his apartment and we ended up in bed together. I never do this! Now I'm really worried about seeing him at work on Monday. Should I just act like it never happened or try and speak with him about it? I feel like a total idiot, and can't believe I did this.

HaveILostMyMind · 06/11/2016 09:27

Sorrrrry! Just got home Blush Managed to control myself this time, stayed over for some spooning. Had a nice dinner and a loooong talk to about 3am. He like likes me and I think I really like like him back GrinBlush I'm worried about us getting into something so soon after our previous relationships, so we're going to try and take things slow (is it possible to go backwards from shagging to no shagging or has the horse bolted?) He thinks I should worry less (probably true) He's going to speak to his boss about transferring teams in the new year. Feeling a bit giddy today, but still quite nervous about work tomorrow.

It all sounds really promising and he can cook curry. Hooray!

I hope you left out the bit about having a mini meltdown and discussing him on Mumsnet when you had your heart to heart Grin.

Awh, lovely!! Nice to read a nice happy thread for a change!!

bikerlou · 06/11/2016 09:45

It's never a good idea to sleep with your boss. I'm just thankful I'm post menopausal and choose partners with my brain now instead of my ovaries :-) But yes I may have done that in my younger days lol.

PinkSquash · 06/11/2016 09:51

Ahh this is so lovely!
