a One night stand?

If your partner had a one night stand.

OP posts:
Haggisfish · 02/11/2014 20:42

Potentially, yes. I could forgive it more easily than a protracted emotional affair.

FrauHelga · 02/11/2014 20:43

Depends. Long term relationship, where we were exclusive? Not a bloody chance.

FWB or a fuckbuddy, meh, that goes with the territory.

TheNewClassic · 02/11/2014 20:44

In a long term relationship on a drunken night out..

OP posts:
headlesslambrini · 02/11/2014 20:45

No that would be a deal breaker for me.

TheNewClassic · 02/11/2014 20:45

By forgive I mean stay with them.

If I was in a committed long-term relationship, no I wouldn't. Being exclusive goes with the territory as far as I'm concerned. Other people can be more accepting of betrayal but I couldn't

carlsonrichards · 02/11/2014 20:47

No

FolkGirl · 02/11/2014 20:49

No.

BitterAndOnlySlightlyTwisted · 02/11/2014 20:51

"Drunken" is a very lame excuse for behaviour which is inexcusable. No-one that I've ever known has been so drunk that they're incapable of making a decision to betray a partner while still being capable of having and maintaining an erection to shag some stranger on a night out.

Forgive this and permission has been given so you could discover that it becomes the thin end of the wedge.

losthermind · 02/11/2014 20:51

Not a chance

Redtractorwontsleep · 02/11/2014 20:53

No way

Quitelikely · 02/11/2014 20:55

Yes if married with kids and otherwise all was well.

If in a relationship with no commitments then I would boot him to the kerb.

TheNewClassic · 02/11/2014 20:56

Theres no way to get over that is there.

OP posts:
inlectorecumbit · 02/11/2014 20:56

no way Sad

Fairenuff · 02/11/2014 20:57

Why do you ask OP?

SleepyMcgee · 02/11/2014 20:58

Definitely no way wouldn't trust the bugger ever again

Ticktockblock · 02/11/2014 20:58

Nope.

CogitoErgoSometimes · 02/11/2014 20:59

The trouble with the 'I was drunk' excuse is that it is extremely easy to get drunk.... and do it all over again. What kills relationships is not infidelity but loss of trust. So whether it's a one night stand or a fifteen year affair, I don't think it really matters if the trust is gone.

TheNewClassic · 02/11/2014 21:00

He cheated on me a few weeks ago.

I found out. I said I will try to make it work as long as he can regain trust, prove he actually cares about me. But I don't think that will work and thats hurting because I love him but he effed up our future and plans.

OP posts:
laurentperrier · 02/11/2014 21:00

No. It's completely unforgivable in my opinion.
Are you ok op?

TheNewClassic · 02/11/2014 21:01

The I was drunk has turned into he wont go out clubbing until I can trust again and when he does he wont drink to that point.
I feel let down as I don't have any family its just him.

OP posts:
stereostar · 02/11/2014 21:01

No!

TheNewClassic · 02/11/2014 21:01

I am devastated but I don't know what to do Sad Sad

OP posts:
MrsJuice · 02/11/2014 21:02

Not a chance. We both agree on that.
