Is this title too rude?!!!

I appreciate everyone warning caution. Trust me, I'm using this place to rant and rave and swear and all that,... at the moment I haven't done anything. And even if I do manage to locate him (with some first class help!) I might not necessarily do anything with that information just yet. But I would just like to know, that's all, instead of driving round looking for his car all the time,.... Just this knowledge will make me feel a bit more empowered.

All advice on here is very helpful - the calm, the practical, the hysterical, the funny, the 'been there done that', it's all amazing and I value all of it. Smile

Dozy are you the poster who freaked out when they realised that Portofino is a place in Italy? I fucking lolled at that. Absolutely amazing.

skyebluesapphire · 20/08/2012 21:05

Nobody is seriously suggesting poisoning or anything on here. Some people have a different sense of humour to others. I offered to do in somebodys twunt if they would do in mine I really was joking seriously, is nobody interested?? Grin

The above comment is a JOKE, just in case it needs pointing out!

Lou - just remain your usual dignified self. This is your life, the rest of us are merely strange people on the net onlookers.

No I'm not that poster GrinGrin what was that story?? I'd like a good laugh

BabylonPI · 20/08/2012 21:07

I'd considered that too Pooka which is why I would never try and engage him or approach him.

Our intention tonight was to follow him at a safe distance and hopefully procure an address of his current residence, nothing more.

It didn't work out tonight, so we will try again.

Just out of interest, how do any of you know that I'm not a PI in RL - when I'm not on maternity leave??

skyebluesapphire · 20/08/2012 21:08

Librarian Lou? Really?!!

I have met some very strange Librarians in the past

Grin
Pooka · 20/08/2012 21:08

I think that you're taking this all admirably and with amazing strength. I am simply concerned that the hysteria might stop you moving on and upwards and getting over the twat.

Did you ask him where he is now when you met that time? Do you think that the recent 'scared' texts might indicate that he'd be more forthcoming with explanations? Obviously anything he says has to be taken with a pinch of salt given track history. You know him and that better though than anyone else on here.

cakeismysaviour · 20/08/2012 21:09

What a shame that we cannot block users on here.

I used to use a forum that allowed the blocking of users, and it was brilliant!

In reality, it wasn't used that much because curiousity usually got the better of most people, but t'was marvellous when you just couldn't abide another user. It meant that you could carry on contributing to the same threads without pissing each other off. Grin

Hope you are ok Lou. Its seriously out of order to have people personally attacking you on your support thread. Angry

tuckingfits · 20/08/2012 21:09

I think the vast majority of us know that the exaggerated & silly posts are just that. You know,I say I hate chutneybollocks buuut I don't know him so what I'm really saying is that I hate the way he has treated Lou. People with a bit of nous know to take things with a pinch vat of salt. Tongue in cheek overreactions are amusing as well as supportive in these situations & if people can't grasp that they should stop reading threads that upset them.

Lou,I'm gutted to have missed you being very rude & sweary. Mnhq must have acted extremely swiftly! And all power to them.

MadBusLady · 20/08/2012 21:09

I wouldn't try again TBH. Remember the (originally misquoted) stalking definition? One attempt at doing this was I think fine and reasonable, and frankly there was a fair bit of hysteria being chucked around on all sides about that. But two attempts COULD be a construed as a pattern. And I personally would find two people on a motorbike to be noticeable traffic.

Portofino · 20/08/2012 21:09

No - I am not a troll. I am concerned about some of the advice being given by well meaning posters. If Babylon's dh is indeed in the police then he was VERY foolish to do this. You cannot just go about stalking innocent members of the public at will. If anything had happened he could have been in big trouble. By innocent, I mean done nothing illegal as opposed to being a bastard.

hopkinette · 20/08/2012 21:10

The "story" is that when Portofino first started advocating caution on this thread, and the posters for whom this is a thrilling soap opera got very angry about it, someone mentioned that she'd realised that Portofino is also the name of a place in Italy - and Lou's ex took the OW on holiday to Italy... DUN DUN DUUUUUNNNN!!!! Ie the poster put 2 and 2 together and got WTF?

BabylonPI · 20/08/2012 21:10

Pooka · 20/08/2012 21:11

How do I know you're not a PI on mat leave?

Well I suppose I don't for certain. Though I'd put good money on it! Grin

BabylonPI · 20/08/2012 21:11

Aaaaaargh my DH IS NOT the police, he's a fucking plumber Angry FOR GODS SAKE!!!

WheelieBinRebel · 20/08/2012 21:11

Portofino can you not read, Babylon states her DH is a PLUMBER!

BabylonPI · 20/08/2012 21:12

pooka WinkWink

Rowanhart · 20/08/2012 21:12

Okay ladies. Let's put the handbags down, ey?

Porto I get your point. But it Lou and Babylon disagree there's really no point going on and on about it. When people don't agree sometimes you just have to accept that and move on.

For the record Lou I think given what you have been through you are far from insane and are actually remarkably reserved. Every day you see his (actually both your- don't forget that...spare key knocking about?) car at work it's remarkable that you don't put a brick through the window.

More importantly, good luck for the scan tomorrow. I'll be thinking of you and holding you and the little one in my thoughts. Of all the things on here I'm sure this is the most momentous and difficult. Big unmumsnetty cuddle.

WheelieBinRebel · 20/08/2012 21:12

Sorry Babylon cross-post.

DozyDuck · 20/08/2012 21:13

Oh no hopkin that wasn't me Grin I havent got enough working brain power at the moment to think that much!

Lou how are the cats? I have 3 now as I seemed to inherit my arsehole exes cat when he decided to visit affair dating sites.

She's lovely Smile

ILoveOnionRings · 20/08/2012 21:13

Portofino -everyone knows your point of view - you have said them numerous times on this thread and previous ones. Why don't you just give it a rest now? You have reported to MNHQ who are undoubtedly watching this thread and therefore no need for you to be carping on and on.

You have said your point repeatedly, everyone knows

Portofino · 20/08/2012 21:14

"Portofino, seriously, HOW much danger were they in really? Babylon was with her DH, who's a policeman and has experience of tagging people. She really couldn't have been in safer hands! Chill out lady! "
