This is a thread for women who unexpectedly (or not) find themselves attracted to another woman.

Likea I am not sure about getting me to fall for her, I have fallen, from a great height and landed on my head Grin

pollyblue · 17/04/2012 23:00

thankyou :-) I still might not hear anything but at least I've been proactive.

Gay40 · 17/04/2012 23:00

You need to be reading something with tiny print or tiny illustrations, in my opinion.

OP posts:
pollyblue · 17/04/2012 23:00

landed on my head Grin

pollyblue · 17/04/2012 23:01

tiny print but so large a book it needs an extra pair of hands to hold it.

pollyblue · 17/04/2012 23:01

nice pic btw sleepless

likeatonneofbricks · 17/04/2012 23:09

yes G, in a way it's something to focus on while on breaks from seeing wiq, so it's not a bad thing. But now I need to travel by train to see wiq (which I will) though I'm travelling there anyway once a week or so, as not used to the new place yet.

sleeplessindenial · 17/04/2012 23:10

Thank you although im not sure about the one she tagged of me, I should have gone for the pink flower instead Grin

I am just sending her a goodnight email and then I am off to bed we are very sad I send the goodnight one for her to read in the morning and she sends me a good morning one

likeatonneofbricks · 17/04/2012 23:26

sleep, yes, I know you've fallen but she knew and hasn't stopped you midway Wink(but quite opposite, basked in your feelings, in a good way).
G haha re tiny print. I'd be pleased even I got to sit on hte othe end of sofa (to start with). I'd get too flustered sittting very close anyway. Can't then answer for my actions!
Is there a picture on sleep's profile, polly Shock?

pollyblue · 17/04/2012 23:29

No her facebook page. She mailed me the link so she could show me a pic of WIQ a couple of nights ago.

likeatonneofbricks · 17/04/2012 23:42

ooh, lucky you, polly! very different from your wiq at a guess!

Gay40 · 17/04/2012 23:48

Good god. I had a text earlier from the Chancer.

OP posts:
likeatonneofbricks · 17/04/2012 23:57

oh no, G! has the woman no respect for you and your partner?? did you reply sternly?

Gay40 · 18/04/2012 00:05

I didn't answer at all. She is generally very respectful, but every so often forgets herself. Plus she has never actually been upfront about it to my face.

OP posts:
likeatonneofbricks · 18/04/2012 00:07

was the text upfront? it was a matter of time G, she waas gathering speed Hmm. I really think you need to tell her straight that you are not interested, politely. She may got into her head that you fancy her (when you are being friendly).

Gay40 · 18/04/2012 00:16

It's been like this for about 2 years. She's been told I am not interested, by at least 2 people who know me very well. And apparently she said she knows but can't help how she feels. She has also been told she is not my type, which she isn't, and had the same response - can't help how she feels.
There is absolutely no way she could interpret anything I have said or done as potential interest. She'd be hard pressed to read anything into "Please collect apologies for the next meeting."

OP posts:
Gay40 · 18/04/2012 00:20

Stern words are on the horizon.

OP posts:
likeatonneofbricks · 18/04/2012 00:29

yes, stern is needed as who knows what else she might be unable to stop doing! 2yrs - wow! careful not to get a stalker..
Btw the thread is reaching a 1000, so looks like tomorrow Tavern2 needs to be open!

likeatonneofbricks · 18/04/2012 00:34

some unhinged people can convince themselves that they can influence you in time, ignoring the fact that you are loved up already! or they can decide to wait and hope that you split with your partner - when they are told directly buy the person that it's a no go, it might burst the bubble they are in.

likeatonneofbricks · 18/04/2012 00:35

CharlesXavier · 18/04/2012 06:53

With respect to sofa technique, I find a sad movie works quite well! Especially if you are having to share a rug because it's a bit chilly. Oh dear WIQ, I'm so sorry it's cold in here, I turned the heating off earlier my boiler is playing up.

You can also do the 'I really want to see x, but I know it'll make me sob.. can I watch it with you- nobody else will put up with me blubbing?'. So then you set off with them feeling all needed in the first place! Cunning. literally if you get lucky Grin

pollyblue · 18/04/2012 08:28

As soon as I go to bed something happens - what a pain Gay. Stern words required indeed. I hope you can nip it in the bud once and for all. She can't help how she feels, fair enough, she she can control how she behaves.

I had a reply from The Bolter about ten mins after I sent my email last night - was the shortest reply in the history of replies but was in the affirmative, we're still going for a drink Saturday. Still have to arrange time/place so guess will hear from her again at some point.

Likea sleepless's WIQ looks far less bonkers than mine!

Charles you are very crafty, I would never of thought of turning the heating down.....

Loveisthemessage · 18/04/2012 10:12

Gay - looks like there'll be a demand to open TT2 shortly Smile Are you going to respond to the Chancer or ignore her thinly veiled pleas ?
Polly - hope your WIQ replies to your email soon and comes to her senses
Sleep - hope the dust is settling with you and you can greet the day with renewed confidence

sleeplessindenial · 18/04/2012 10:50

I am feeling okay this morning as I have had a bollocking talking to on the phone by wiq Grin

Polly woohoo for reply to the email Grin

Gay, sounds like an awkward situation with the chancer especially as it sounds like you have to work with her.

likeatonneofbricks · 18/04/2012 11:06

polly - nip it in hte bud? The Chancer is getting more brazen by the month - it's been TWO yrs! it's an obsession almost in full bloom, needs to be stopped before she turns into a stalker.
Charles, obv you don't the background - we don't spend all eves together watching dvds. Not close friends, it'sa bit hot and cold. But if I get to that stage, will remember!
