This is a thread for women who unexpectedly (or not) find themselves attracted to another woman.

don't worry about your memory, Gay and me were making these comments in the same time pretty much, all blended together Grin.

likeatonneofbricks · 15/04/2012 15:29

I'm always so pleased with self whe i make my wiq smile..she find me amusing sometimes, if not funny as such.

likeatonneofbricks · 15/04/2012 15:30

and I

Loveisthemessage · 15/04/2012 15:41

Trapped - wanted to say good luck with everything and keep us in touch. The tavern will miss you.

Loveisthemessage · 15/04/2012 15:44

Polly and Likea....Humour was one of the key things that drew me to my WIQ. God, if it wasn't for a few arfs n' larfs here and there I've no idea where I would be probably at the bottom of the ocean with some concrete boots on

Loveisthemessage · 15/04/2012 15:58

Likea- you're probably right - those people I mentioned (check them out on google if you can be bothered) are probably minor celebs. Possibly big in LA and Z-list here.

Gay40 · 15/04/2012 16:32

My crush has always been actress Kathy Burke - bit of a shabby dresser granted but v intelligent and there's life in her eyes.

The conversation alone would have me folding back the bedlinen.

OP posts:
pollyblue · 15/04/2012 16:38

Yes! finally someone else who knows what I mean......On the odd occassion I've mentioned finding her v attractive the general response is Hmm.

Gay40 · 15/04/2012 16:44

She's the sort of person that if you just lined up in silence wouldn't get picked, but after a short conversation would become the sexiest person in the room.

OP posts:
pollyblue · 15/04/2012 17:21

Exactly. And Mags could've been describing her when she said she liked twinkly-eyed, funny, kind people who like food, wine and laughs and dont vote Tory
Add a phenomenal brain to that mix and I'm all wobbly-legged at the thought.

Gay40 · 15/04/2012 17:57

I once asked a prospective shag woman what she was reading at the moment. She said "I don't read books."
Sorry and goodbye.

Crushinghard · 15/04/2012 18:19

I've fancied Jodie Foster since I was quite young. I'm a sucker for blue eyes.
I like Ellen too but I think it's more because of her tv show than her looks! I remember being fascinated by the lesbian storyline on Brookside and I fancied Beth. I quite like Jessie J at the moment but she's a bit young for me.

My WIQ has stunning blue eyes and the most amazing dark hair Smile

Crushinghard · 15/04/2012 18:20

Wow, Gay, goodbye indeed! I can't imagine not reading books!

Worldwithwings · 15/04/2012 18:23

Kathy Burke is delightful I agree. My ideal woman though would be Ellen Degeneres. Although I wouldn't turn down Juliet Stevenson nor Kristen Scott Thomas.

I'm single now, separated and for the last few years wondered about relationships with women. Now I have the chance to be a bit adventurous with my sexuality. Where do I begin? I don't, at the moment, have a WIQ. I live in a smallish city and all the gay nights aren't apparently all that gay. There's a couple of lesbian mums at my kids schooll and I thought I might ask their advice.

How do I begin to meet prospective women? Get a feel for whether this is for me? Have some fun? Any advice would be welcome.

Crushinghard · 15/04/2012 18:31

Oh, I missed one - Sue Perkins, mmmmm.

pollyblue · 15/04/2012 18:36

Oh yes I forgot about Sue P. She's another good example of brain 'n' twinkly eyes.

Old misery guts Victoria Beckham apparently once claimed she has never read a book.

pollyblue · 15/04/2012 18:37

sorry I'm forgetting my manners! Good evening and welcome to the thread World.

PassTheBaileys · 15/04/2012 18:45

Jessie J for me!

pollyblue · 15/04/2012 18:47

I imagine Jessie J is very flexible

Worldwithwings · 15/04/2012 18:54

Thank you Polly. Yes Crushing, I agree, Jodie Foster has a lot about her.

MagsAloof · 15/04/2012 18:57

Right, I'm not just saying this, but I have been told loads of times that I look like Due Perkins Blush. i dont have specs, am a good 10 yrs younger than her I would guess, and when I look in the mirror I dont see it at al, but I am often told it, including once infamous time, probably in the days when Mel and Sue was on, a guy on a first date said to me 'The only thing putting me off when i go to kiss you is that I get a flash of chat is that lezzer Sue off the telly'.

Right fookin charmer he was

Seems I was actually a sex symbol in the making Grin

MagsAloof · 15/04/2012 18:58

Or Sue Perkins, eve Grin

MagsAloof · 15/04/2012 18:58

excuse typos, you get the gist I'm sure!

pollyblue · 15/04/2012 19:09

I think Sue P is quite a common crush. Mags tis a shame you're married, if you started batting for the other team you'd be beating admirers off with a mucky stick Grin
