Howcome, I won't wear thongs for him but wore one to work the other night ?

For christ sakes, so now he is checking what knickers I wore to work

I wear what ever bloody knickers I pull out of the drawer, I don't save certain ones for certain people, for christs sake.

He obviously thinks I have a quick fumble in the broom cupboard or something.

  • checking your knickers!

goodness knows what's going on in his head!

NotActuallyAMum · 25/01/2006 13:55

Is this part of his sulking because you've told him you're having a night out?

compo · 25/01/2006 13:55

So have you said you won't wear them for him?

LadySherlockofLGJ · 25/01/2006 13:56

He is barking

colditz · 25/01/2006 13:56

Tell him to get over himself.

Lacrimosa · 25/01/2006 13:57

in his head? don't you mean on his head?

nutcracker · 25/01/2006 13:58

LOL LGJ, I agree.

I do wear them for him sometimes, but tbh it is rare as he pees me off far to often for me to bother.

I was in a rush the other night, and grabbed the first pair I saw. Was regretting it later on in the night but still.

Can't believe he checked. He said he was just moving some washing.

I say that is BS

OP posts:
compo · 25/01/2006 13:58

He sounds like a right head case

nutcracker · 25/01/2006 13:59

Yeah he is.

nutcracker · 25/01/2006 14:00

I'm working tonight, now what underwear shall I wear, hmm let me think, stockings and suspenders

Bloody stupid man.

Piffle · 25/01/2006 14:00

Nutty you are lucky, if my dp saw me in a thong he'd think I was trying to get rid of him
That would also be as hell froze over as the pigs were flying being followed by an atheist Pope.
Things a little bit edgy for you at the moment Nutty?

MeerkatsUnite · 25/01/2006 14:01

He's certainly insecure - am assuming a great deal here but presumably he is like this in other areas of your relationship as well.

Does he admit to having any sort of issue re insecurity?. If so will he be willing to seek help to sort this out. He will end up driving you away otherwise.

nutcracker · 25/01/2006 14:03

He is very insecure. His ex wife left him for another bloke.

I have told him I know he doesn't trust me and he said he does, but he doesn't it is written all over his face.

I used to think it was sweet, now i think it is stiffling, annoying and don't right nutty.

So let me think of the list...

Doesn't like me going out.
Doesn't like me wearing anything other than granny drawers for work.
Doesn't like me working with other men.

Am sure there are more.

OP posts:
nutcracker · 25/01/2006 14:04

He won't admitt there is a problem, and I have told him it will drive me away. although I didn't phrase it as delicatly as that.

OP posts:
compo · 25/01/2006 14:05

have you thought about relationship counselling? Does he stop you from going out?

Piffle · 25/01/2006 14:06

I remember an ex boyf sounding the death knell to our engagement.
I had dressed up to go out for dinner with my mum and brothers (over from UK I was in NZ, engaged to a muppet of highest order)
exp whined, you never wear anything like that for me...
2 Days later he was evicted
ugh neediness is a destroyer as it is hard to keep respect up...
I hope you sort something out Nutty.. must be very hard atm

nutcracker · 25/01/2006 14:08

Nah he would never go to counselling because he doesn't think there is a problem.

I asked him if his ex wife used to go out and he said, not really no, unless we went out together. Then he said that eventually she started going out once a week and then she met this bloke.
I asked him if he stopped her going out and he said no, I didn't have to, she was a mother

I asked him if he could see a pattern developing here and he said no.

my mum knew someone who couldn't go out of the house because her partner hid her shoes. needless to say they're separated now.

nutcracker · 25/01/2006 14:09

Yeah he does that Piffle. If i buy something nice to wear, he loves it if I wear it when out with him, but if I wear it out without him, he doesn't like it.

OP posts:
compo · 25/01/2006 14:09

Do you love him?
