At first I was afraid, I was petrified
Kept thinkin' I could never live without him by my side;
But then I spent so many nights
Thinkin' how you did me wrong
And I grew strong Smile

This thread is for ex dumplings Any dumpling that feels like she has "mostly" moved past crisis into an "almost" sorted state can post and chat here as we continue our quest for serenity with a lot of laughs along the way and support.

Ah getting, thinking of u,I know myself I will need to work with my counsellor for top tips ,role play etc when the aggro kicks in.just away for her to release her anger but so tough cos all u want is them to be safe when they think they are invincible.

Phoned her and wished her all the best with my husband and said she had my blessing ROFL x
All sounds so dysfunctional ,could it ever have been anything else, but the truth is cleansing because I knew it anyway and I thought he would never tell me the truth.

offschoolagain · 18/02/2011 17:17

Hello everyone. I did not know you are a French teacher Googoo, apologies for dissing your French!! Realised you were a teacher as the thread has progressed but not of what. Getting where abouts in Cornwall? Have had lovely holidays there and I am spending the second weekend of half term there (H here with girls) with friends - really looking forward to it.
I am there with my DDs Getting - one nearly 15 and DD2 nearly 13. Tend to have several good days then one absolute horror - DD1 expects life to revolve totally around her and then is shirty when it does not. She seems to be totally in the grip of hormones too, is your 11 year old yet? incredible cyclical behaviour. I agree though, I just have to keep remembering I am the fortunate one to be with them and H may be Holiday Armadillo but it is me here all the time.
DD2 "offschoolagain" today as really not right after the op on Tuesday but I managed to get the carer who should have been last night's carer, to come today instead, so I was able to go to work.
For once (!) looking forward to half term as we all three have work to do, and some fun things too.
Back later.

gettingeasier · 18/02/2011 17:40

I am a novice offschool my ds is 14 and a total doddle so this is new territory for me. He is so thoughtful and self effacing and she mostly isnt tbh. Yes she often has to be reminded there are 3 of us here and compromises have to be made. I find it hard because I enjoyed a fraction of the things she has at 11 ie her Mums attention, material comfort abd a generally easy life yet she is more demanding than I would ever have dared to be.

Cornwall ? Near Bude very lovely , your half term trip will be a tonic.

I am looking forward to going to my cousins next week and getting away. She is now embroiled in heavy texting (had one of those texts Starting Shock)with a couple of guys from Match !

Patienceobtainsallthings · 18/02/2011 18:09

I know I really shouldn't have or should I lol
Great fun but all a bit juvenile anyone with teenage girls any top tips please her texts are,I know what u look like , or ur hackett inside and out.

Wee lassies like ur 10 a penny pet ,good luck with my X

gettingeasier · 18/02/2011 19:03

In English Patience whats hackett ? Did she text you first then ? What a fucking liberty Shock. Anyway why has she suddenly sprung into life now ?

Teaandcakeplease · 18/02/2011 19:10

Laughing at your text replies Patience. Love it. Glad it's given you closure.

Oh Getting sounds great about the house Well done passing the course by the way Blush Forgot to say the other day.

I was a horror as a teenager, my mum made me take evening primrose oil and super vitamin B6 to calm the hormones. Their idea of controlling me, was to smack me often Hmm Shock So no advice here, dreading the teenage phase tbh. Great news about Cornwall hols Smile

Grin at Googoo getting flustered by sexy French man.

Spoke too soon about DD as she slept terribly last night again and was in my bed by 9pm whimpering and crying on and off all night. She says her throat hurts. DS keeps waking at night since he moved to a bed still and trying to come into mine but no one sleeps well when they're all in my bed, so I send him back to his. DD is in her own bed so far tonight. Be so nice to have my bed back to myself again and get a full nights sleep. I'm exhausted. I've read everything on here but seem to have retained little.

Feeling a bit odd about half term, nothing planned apart from one cinema trip so far.

Patienceobtainsallthings · 18/02/2011 20:41

Oh I dont know getting I just said I thought it was projection and she needed to work on her self esteem
Pretty easy to get her number she lives in a small village and she isn't well liked .
Wasn't ever going to contact her until I knew they had done the deed.so I called her wishing her all the best and said she had my blessing, she hung up .then started texting.it was their secret ,but now others are bound to find out.u know how these things get out.anyway nothing to do with me now ,I just hated being lied to.just amazing how one tiny phonecall can change ur way of thinking.anyway best not to mess with the Mrs when the Mrs is me LOL.
Closure is fab I'm bound to dip soon but tonite I'm fine.just all the denials ,I knew they were at it just no way of proving it but he admitted it.
Anyway if she texts again I will recommend co dependant no more and woman who love 2 much .

Zane lowe ROFL
But it might be a Zane lower depends what we play x

googoomama · 18/02/2011 21:51

Hi everyone. Oh I'm in for Zane Lowe(r) night - LOVE putting tunes up!
Well, sorry about teenage-ish daughters. I teach that age range and it's funny how they suddenly turn into hormonal hurricanes at the end of their 11th years! If it's any consolation, my 7 year old son is already there - slamming doors etc. And Tea I know what you mean about having your bed to yourself. Unfortunately, my youngest son (4.5) is an exceptionally bad sleeper and he is in my bed every night and I'm exhausted too lol. I sound like such a scummy mummy. I try so hard but youngest just wants to be in my bed. I used to hate it when he was 2 and I made massive efforts to get him to sleep through, and he did for about a year. But we're back to square one again now. He just says "Your bed is comfier than mine mum and I love snuggling into you. You are soft." Bless him. But at the same time "Arrrrghhh!"
Patience - so glad you have some closure now you know about 21 year old (ffs - my exh has one of those too) and love your replies. Love the fact she says it's their little secret. Maybe once it isn't a little secret anymore there won't be so much allure to it. My exh likes being with 21 year old, cos she makes him feel like a big man, laughs at all his jokes, thinks his rolls of cash are very impressive and is too overawed by him to answer back. As you say, good luck pet! x

offschoolagain · 18/02/2011 21:52

only time I hear Zane low is when I take DD to guides and wait in the car park! How sad am I. Watched an excellent rubbish film with Hugh Grant in tonight. why can't I find a man like him? Ok double sad I know.

romneymarsh · 18/02/2011 21:57

offschool - but Hugh Grant had a BJ from a prostitute in a car in LA, think you need a better one than that????

IfYoureHappyAndYouKnowIt · 18/02/2011 22:01

hmm also think that Hugh Grant not such a good idea. You can do better methinks.

Back to the cakes....

IfYoureHappyAndYouKnowIt · 18/02/2011 22:02

Patienceobtainsallthings · 18/02/2011 22:14
