Hello

I'm Mouse.

Welcome to the Brave Babes Bus - Gerald! Blame Silver for the name! Grin

We are a group of MNers who post about our relationship with alcohol and how drinking it, or not, has an effect on our day to day lives.

Come and meet the other Brave Babes, say hi, take a seat or just read.

Here are the threads so far

Funnily enough Ruby was thinking of you earlier, was wondering which night you were heading out and if you were going to try the water/soft drink approach!

How are you lovely?? Smile

Silverbaubleonatree · 16/12/2010 14:53

Little bit of snow here Mouse but stopped now. Last day at work till 4th January

Xmas Grin x

Glad you've got some relief from the pain Babe x

desiretochange · 16/12/2010 14:55

Plodding along Silver, really good to hear you are doing so well!
Mouse do you have to keep your back taped up for long?

desiretochange · 16/12/2010 14:56

Silver, tomorrow my last day at work till 6th Jan, really looking forward to the break:)

TheMousefaceBeforeChristMouse · 16/12/2010 15:03

Hey Silver. Yes, I knew it was snowing with you about 1 1/2 hours ago when I got a text from my ever so giddy sister!!! You sound fab, very boingy!!

desire - it's a new thing, from Germany that they are trialing in the department. I leave it on until it peels off and have it re-done every week.

This is week four and it really does help me.

Zany - how are you feeling now?

noteven - I feel a bit better in myself today but I'm all over the place head wise. I keep replaying the conversation in my head and trying to close my boxes again.

The psych really did do me no favours. Sad

Nemo is here trying to help me type!!! He keeps hitting the space bar! !!

See ^^ Xmas Grin

OP posts:
TheMousefaceBeforeChristMouse · 16/12/2010 15:14

How odd Confused Nemo's spaces didn't show.

TheMousefaceBeforeChristMouse · 16/12/2010 15:58

Currently, he is kicking off having a mini meltdown because I won't give him the Sudocrem to smear all over the place.

TheMousefaceBeforeChristMouse · 16/12/2010 17:10

Poor DD noteven. Ear infections are so painful. Lots of Calpol and cuddles are in order.

Can you get her to a GP or has she been already for antibiotics?

OP posts:
Zanyisntsantacanny · 16/12/2010 17:54

Come back on Noteven if your struggling. Hope calpol etc will help her ears.

Still feeling pretty low to be honest Mouse and I think your very mean not to let him play with what he wants to Xmas Grin

TheMousefaceBeforeChristMouse · 16/12/2010 17:57

Hmm. Clearly you have never let a 19m loose with a tub of Sudocrem!?? Xmas Grin

OP posts:
Zanyisntsantacanny · 16/12/2010 18:08

I remember my DS sticking his hands in it as a baby - its a bugger bit difficult to get off the carpet.

TheMousefaceBeforeChristMouse · 16/12/2010 18:10

Luckily, we have wodden floors but still, I can't get it off my fingers when I use it, never mind anything else!

How are we all this evening??

venusandchristmars · 16/12/2010 18:15

Hello.

thurso dd2 has now moved on to Thailand - it will be very odd to have Christmas without her [brave but teary emoticon]. She is meeting up with some friends from home who are going over for a couple of weeks - can't help but secretly hope it all makes her a leetle bit homesick, so she comes back.... PS Do NOT visit Thurso. There are lots of wonderful places in Scotland, but look here, Thurso is not one of them.

Christi lunch was at Wisharts - bloody fantastic.

Silver and desire Envy Envy at you being off until January - you do know that we expect lots of interesting chat during the daytime now Smile

mouse I once returned to my lounge having left an 18mth 2yr and 4yr old with a tub of baby talcum powder. They'd been playing 'snow'. Smelt lovely but for weeks there was a puff of white whenever you sat on the sofa.

venusandchristmars · 16/12/2010 18:22

thurso if that didn't put you off here's the local talent Shock

Well OK, there are some good beaches, surfers like the waves, but mostly it is just bleak and grey and cold.

sleighrideinthursnow · 16/12/2010 18:24

Mouse

All ok here, however, just got back from having my highlights done, and am exhausted!
No kidding, I hate having my hair done, but having highlights for the last 30 years must mean I'm a sado-masochist.
Although, I used to up to London, up until the DC's were about 5, and that was a Whole day!!

Whoops, read in the paper earlier how naff it was to use multiple exclamation marks, excuse me!!!!!!!

We have wooden floors too, and the great thing about them is that don't seem to attract dust (am I not looking?).

Zany and Noteven please come back on here tonight, this thread (or as I think of it; my friends) are usually around at one point or another.

Noteven my DC used to have ear infections all the time, it got a bit better when they had grommets, it made the passages bigger. Is Dc on antibiotics?

sleighrideinthursnow · 16/12/2010 18:27

Venus Grin

Still feel like it was meant to be!
