Hello to all and a Medal for those of you that stayed over all 16 pages of the 'It's all about him' thread.

Since it has gotten so big and since I will most likely going to be droning on about this for a little while I thought it would be easier to just start a new thread.

Must say I prefer the new title Xmas Grin

For those that didn't read the mammoth previous thread, in a nutshell it's about me dithering to leave partner of 8 years. No sex life for a year, he's very self centred and unmotivated etc, no future to speak of, fed up.

Finally told him I want to split up last night so am now using MN as my lifeline to ensure I really do get out of this excuse for a relationship.

Thank you all again for letting me do this and your support :)

He he he NoNames :) yup have told the council he's gone. No point in pretending otherwise.

Have a lovely evening with the oldies and a great 'slide' into the new year as the Germans say :)

Checking in! Stayed at party much longer than anticipated, as is always the way with these things!
How's it going Bibi? I think I might let the DSs see in 2011 after all...

BibiBlocksberg · 31/12/2010 23:21

Hi katisha, fell asleep in front of tv. Just come to now.

I am always like this on a Friday night. Very inconsiderate of new years eve to be on a Friday. :)

Better say Happy New Year to everyone now in case I nodd off again!

OP posts:
Katisha · 31/12/2010 23:37

Yes Happy New Year!

Am just having a festive cup of tea. Oh I know how to party!

BibiBlocksberg · 31/12/2010 23:40

You and me both - I'm on the fizzy water and nearly asleep and you with your tea.

Rock and Roll Grin

Katisha · 31/12/2010 23:41

All the glamorous people on those cruise ships will really be wishing they were on a sofa with a cup of tea. Not in a ballroom counting down to yet more champagne.

ItsGraceAgain · 31/12/2010 23:42

Happy New Year, Bibi, Katisha and all "About ME!" thread pals! I'm soothing my sore throat with cocoa & fake Bailey's from Aldi. Very comforting.

2011's going to be good, you know. I feel it in my aching bones Xmas Grin

BibiBlocksberg · 31/12/2010 23:56

Picturing the people on the cruise ship sighing and wishing they were us :)

Had a p&o cruise brochure in the post today funny enough. Not sure if they think I've come into some money or what Grin

Hi grace on the aldi baileys - sounds yummy :)

3 mins everyone.......

Don't know what's going on here this year. Fireworks so close to the house the cats are growling and hiding under the couch and neighbours dancing and howling in the street.

Far too much excitement for me :)

ElfPantsAtMidnightMass · 01/01/2011 00:11

HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!!!

2011 is gonna be a goodun, I can tell Xmas Grin

Katisha · 01/01/2011 00:24

The only way is up Bibi!

BibiBlocksberg · 01/01/2011 00:28

Yes quite agree katisha. Just popped in to the MN chat section and scared myself with some of the really negative thoughts on new year.

Back in the safety of my thread now and fervently hoping 2011 will turn out ok. :) :)

Just rolled in from partying with the over eighty ski instuctor and his young (70) wife who live up the road from me.

Bonded with a terrier called Pepper with lovely eyebrows.

Happy new year everybody. We will blossom and reach our potential in 2011.

Grin

"Bonded with a terrier called Pepper with lovely eyebrows."

ROFL - that really does sound like my kind of party though. Could you ask the sprightly couple and Pepper if they'd like an extra guest for NYE 2011 please?

:)

Oh Bibi by the end of the year you may very well have different priorities for New Years Eve.

Let's hope by then you are being distracted by someone far more worthy of you.

bloomingnora · 01/01/2011 18:13

I like 'distracted' as a euphemism Grin

BibiBlocksberg · 01/01/2011 18:16

Yes I know what you mean NoNames and nora :)

The 'poor me' attitude seems to have stopped altogether for now which is good.

Am just actually sitting composing a thread about how I want my life to be over the coming year so watch this space.

One thing I can say though is that I want to build myself a life that I'm totally happy and content with before I even think about sharing it with anyone again, male or otherwise!!!!

:)

OP posts:
bloomingnora · 01/01/2011 18:27

That sounds totally fantastic. I am doing some big life changing stuff this year too and I am raring to go! I can't wait to hear all the positive stuff you do. Have you found a nice wardrobe yet?

BibiBlocksberg · 01/01/2011 18:31

No nora, haven't done anything much that's constructive yet but want to start soon.

So much to think about it's hard to know what to tackle first.

OP posts:
bloomingnora · 01/01/2011 18:39

Just do one thing at a time. Make sure you start with something fun! Or make a list of stuff on here and we'll help you make sense of it

BibiBlocksberg · 01/01/2011 19:10

Grin well, I'm sure you're not old but you certainly are nosey Grin

Only joking (about agreeing with the nosey) I'm the same, always love to hear the details.

And lets not forget that the long term supporters of this thread positively deserve the boring juicy details from me :)

Anyway, one of the first things I will need to do is get my classic moped sold. It's something I haven't used in years and though it's a beautiful thing it's no use it going rusty and then being worthless. Plus I really need the money right now to help untangle the remains of my life from ex DP?s.

I know exactly where to offer it for sale but can't for the life of me establish it's true worth.

Have a figure in mind though and need to push myself to write the ad and get it posted.

I'm worried though because I don't have a current photo of it (last one taken was about 5 years ago and it was still nice and shiny then) Plus it's in ex DP's fathers garage.

Soooo, need to pluck up courage to ring ex DP father and ask him when I can pick the bike up. Not sure how he's going to be with me now that his son and I have split.

Plus, it's no use me just taking a pic of the bike since I know he wants it gone from his garage anyway which is fair enough.

Can't ride the thing home as not safe, no MOT etc. so would need to hire a van.

With the best will in the world I can't afford that right now and that's where the whole thought process comes to an end.

Phew, can you see how I end up overthinking myself into procrastination??
