All views on The Archers welcome here! New blood welcomed. We don't all agree on all points and most of us are posting tongue in cheek a lot of the time, so don't worry about revealing that you long to hear Pip again, or other unusual views.

Current events: as @Bailey0703 has astutely spotted, it's Anti-Slavery Day tomorrow - could this herald the beginning of the end of the horses storyline? I do hope so. Horrible stuff, but what a blow for Kirsty. They're laying on the dramatic irony with trowel at the moment.

What do we think will happen to Alice and Chris? I can't see this pregnancy going to term and ending well. I don't think the marriage will survive either, giving Brian a chance to revisit his classic line about having to treat this as Alice's starter marriage.

Will Elizabeth end up on a date with Vince Casey? That would put the cat among the pigeons at Lower Loxley.

Every time I hear the name Vince Casey I actually hear Vince Cable, who I will forever more chuckle at whilst imagining him talking with a black country accent.

Could be worse. For some reason I see William Grundy (in outdoorsy clothes and gun) as looking like Prince William. But then I'm slightly surprised on the rare occasions I hear the latter talking that he doesn't sound like Will.

Good to see Pip fighting Toby’s corner on HollowTree.

Was that the same actor playing Ruairi (sp)? It's so long since we heard him I can't remember. 18 already! The storyline around his parents' affair and the fallout from his birth is my favourite on TA by a country mile. Shame it didn't lead to a huge and bitter divorce with Jennifer engaging a SHL, as they say on the Relationships board, to get half of Home Farm, but we can't have everything.

Agree it was rather a dull episode.

I put that down to self interest and antipathy to Josh.

She doesn't want Josh to have use of more land on Brookfield, she doesn't want to lose the Fairbrothers either. Rex still moons over her and Toby may not be Dad of the year but he do some parenting (but uselessly as Pip regularly tells us).

I often wonder why Josh stayed at Brookfield when the entire family make his "second" status so clear all the time. Even he acknowledges that Brookfield will go via Pip to Rosie.

I didn't think Pip has Toby's interests at heart for one minute. She is more motivated by sibling rivalry than anything else on earth.

She also didn't believe at all that Josh would have done the work and be prepared for the bank meeting. She doesn't see him as someone who could be a capable professional, but only as an annoying little brother who will inevitably screw up.

Given his various screwups I can't entirely blame her for that.

Was she fighting Toby's corner? I thought she'd arrived rather easily at, oh they'll be able to find somewhere else.

I seem to remember David getting all officious at one point and insisting on the FairBro signing up to a tenancy agreement at Hollowtree to prove their serious intent. Or have I made that up?
Josh can't just tell them to sling their hook pdq, the world doesn't work like that.
