All views on The Archers welcome here! New blood welcomed. We don't all agree on all points and most of us are posting tongue in cheek a lot of the time, so don't worry about revealing that you long to hear Pip again, or other unusual views.

Current events: as @Bailey0703 has astutely spotted, it's Anti-Slavery Day tomorrow - could this herald the beginning of the end of the horses storyline? I do hope so. Horrible stuff, but what a blow for Kirsty. They're laying on the dramatic irony with trowel at the moment.

What do we think will happen to Alice and Chris? I can't see this pregnancy going to term and ending well. I don't think the marriage will survive either, giving Brian a chance to revisit his classic line about having to treat this as Alice's starter marriage.

Will Elizabeth end up on a date with Vince Casey? That would put the cat among the pigeons at Lower Loxley.

TA was a bit remiss in its Public Information remit tonight. Why on earth did Lizzie go off to meet a total stranger off t'internet without telling someone of her plans and with the instruction to "call out a search party if you don't hear from me by xx o'clock".

For "a bit remiss" I'd probably substitute "shockingly ill-informed".

She could have told Jolene, for all we know. I can understand why she didn't want to tell her children the details.

I would be surprised if VC really had Lizzie in stitches over a schoolboy-style prank with an egg mayo sandwich. But if they share the same puerile sense of humour then may be they are right for each other after all. There will be whoppee cushions scattered all over LL before we know it...

Actually Elizabeth and Vince could be a master stroke - do we know if he’s divorced or widowed? They could be the new Piggoi and Jick. Firstly David’s reaction would be priceless, secondly I’d love to hear what he makes of CMR getting his feet under the table or indeed what CMR makes of him.

He did when he was in his twenties, and to a lesser extent before he and Elizabeth had children. Then he grew up and stopped being an adolescent prat.

Elizabeth is now older than Nigel was when he died, and might be expected to have grown up as well.

I thought Phil was gaslighting Kirsty yesterday with his talk of a fresh start - 'it was your idea'.

I thought exactly the same Taswama, and wondered why they're revisiting this phenomenon so soon.

She did mention "getting away from it all in a cottage somewhere" first, I think, and set him off.

I think she probably meant a mini break not a wholesale move and he knows that perfectly well.

Definitely gaslighting her. Telling her she doesn’t like her job anymore because she was annoyed about a theft, please.

She also whinged about litter and having to write an email about it to the board, or some such. And how she disliked humanity and wished she could just go and live in a cottage in the middle of nowhere and not have to deal with people.

I thought Pip sounded different today, as in literally different, almost wondered if it was the same actor!

I was amused that Ruth is proposing to get rid of the Herefords (David's side of the farm) and the arable (David's side of the farm) in order to increase the dairy herd (her side of the farm).

What does she reckon he is going to do all day? The sheep really don't need much attention except during lambing. what about the other ten months of the year?

It's the same actor, but she's learned, during lockdown, to talk properly. This might make her character bearable in the short term.
