Thanks to witchmountain for the last thread and to dadx3 for Godfathering them! Also to any other posters whose ideas I have borrowed for the title.

non-sequitur,

means 'Where've you left the clippers this time', in our house. Our garden must have loads of rotting garden implements we're misplaced.

the Sid and Jolene shower scene. Well worth a listen.

No.
Every time I think I have finally erased it from my memory, someone has to remind me...

If we hear Jill Is going off piste with her Christmas menu to serve some kind of fishy feast then we’ll know the dye is cast and can’t start taking bets on who the victim will be Grin

DadDadDad · 04/12/2018 09:20

The die is cast or the cast will die? Grin

Lillian - I didn't really remember the previous tuna bake conversation, but I had a vague memory so did a search of tuna and my name, and was pleasantly surprised to find that post.

Indeed, witchmountain, or pacific. But it's not only by accident, you do also get deliberate evolutions in language. There is a bit of a gap in the market in that prodigy as a noun exists and doesn't have an exact fit with an adjective, since neither prodigious nor precocious capture the entire meaning, so it would make sense to try to use prodigal as the adjective for prodigy and keep the original meanings going concurrently. But it turns out that wasn't what Panic was doing, it was just a slip of the finger after all.

So back to the day jobs for me.

JessieMcJessie · 04/12/2018 12:03

Howdy each day’s archive clip comes as a surprise but I’d be really surprised if Nigel isn’t in there somewhere.

I’m just wondering which baby will be featured on the 25th- the Baby Cheesus, the Sainted Pip or someone else?

chemenger · 04/12/2018 13:34

Well that’s a disappointment. The archers advent calendar on Facebook is “not available in your location” if you happen to be outside the U.K. I’m in the US, I listen to the Archers every morning as a little taste of home. I do, by the way, pay for a licence back in the U.K. but that cuts no ice with the BBC.
I notice that two days after I commented that it never rains in Ambridge it poured.

Paintingtheroseswhite · 04/12/2018 13:44

I picked up on Jill's comments about never knowing where we'll be etc. Surely they aren't going to kill a second Archer wife off in a barn fire!!! Agree something is definitely being foreshadowed. I thought the 5 minutes on watching Home Alone and Jill crying about how could you not notice you've left a child behind etc we're a bit odd if not hinting at something to come.

Jill's Casserole popped up as the cure for the "headache"

I'm going to get the next thread started slightly early as I've got to dash out soon and don't want to attempt something so sophisticated on my ancient phone.....

howdyho · 04/12/2018 14:19

I find it hard to believe that Jenny thought it was a 'hippy fit'.
Oh Lily, stop pandering to him please, he sounds obnoxious!

Cromercrab · 04/12/2018 14:22

Death of Rosie in a fire would be a bit grim, though. No, surely not?

Do you think Russ has another acolyte warming on the hob already? I'd have thought he was far too oh-my-intolerances-and-mind-my-clean-eating to countenance anything as workaday as pasta bake.

NotdeadyetBOING · 04/12/2018 14:40

Slightly early doors, but here it is....

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/radio_addicts/3442477-The-Archers-96-Is-that-a-rat-I-smell-or-the-whiff-of-Snell-In-Chaucer-s-famous-Tale-of-Two-Torsos-Brian-s-still-got-it-and-Poldark-is-searching-for-scything-opportunities-in-Susan-s-kitchen

And YES - I am also deeply suspicious that Russ has enticed another young lovely into his lair.

Cromercrab · 04/12/2018 14:49
