Thanks to witchmountain for the last thread and to dadx3 for Godfathering them! Also to any other posters whose ideas I have borrowed for the title.

I presume David and Ruth aren't expecting Lynda to pay for the use of the barn. So why is it their responsibility to clean it and divest it of rats?

Miscible · 14/11/2018 19:37

Surely Christine must realise that Peggy's funds aren't a bottomless pit? Don't they tend to cost several hundred a week? And what does she imagine might happen if Peggy keels over?

I suspect that what will happen in practice is that Chris's son will come steaming in worrying about his inheritance being frittered away, only to discover that it's Peggy's children's inheritance being frittered, whereupon the solids may hit the fan.

Posting just to boost my stats

Oi, we don't want your sort round here! Say something contraversial insightful about The Archers or clear off....

Grin
TheEfficientBaxter · 14/11/2018 20:00

Would it be too contraversial to point out that controversial isn't spelled quite like that, DDD? BlushGrin

5000FingersofDrT · 14/11/2018 20:03

A friend of mine has just found a wonderful home for his elderly parent. That's the good news. The bad news is that it costs £1100 a week Sad

witchmountain · 14/11/2018 20:04

Do you mean me, ppeat? This is the only witch related name I’ve had and it’s the one I use unless I really feel the need to separate out my posting history. Think I’ll be listening to the film this week too.

MrsGrindah · 14/11/2018 20:08

I am Cath...just reverted to my previous username honestly...but now it won’t count against my stats will it ?! Aargh... I’ve got stats anxiety now.
Something controversial about TA you say....ummm...I love Hannah ( I do!)

AlecOrAlonzo · 14/11/2018 20:36

I'm quite surprised that no one thought to put grab rails in for Peggy before now. She's very old. I would have thought she'd have needed something before this.

DadDadDad · 14/11/2018 21:00

'controversial' is one of my blind-spots with spelling, which is generally very good, I think partly because of the mental interference from 'intrOvert' but 'extrAvert' (but often also written 'extrOvert'). I always have to think about 'embarrass' and it's taken me a long time to get 'manoeuvre.' Confused

Archers Anyway, a public service announcement: I will not be doing any more statistics about individuals' post counts - it's clearly having undesirable consequences. Archers
MrsGrindah · 14/11/2018 21:08

Well now I’ve got anxiety that I’ve singlehandedly brought down the posting stats leader board....

DadDadDad · 14/11/2018 21:39

MrsG - You had help from CathKidneyston, so it wasn’t singlehandedly. Smile

MrsGrindah · 14/11/2018 21:41

Damn me and my alter egos...

DadDadDad · 14/11/2018 21:44

D'oh, I've only just realised that you confessed to being Cath. Blush

MrsGrindah · 14/11/2018 21:47

But you were still right though ...me and our Cath have skewed your stats and we both hang our heads in shame...

pasbeaucoupdegendarme · 14/11/2018 22:42

Lynda is so blimmin’ rude!!!

Thanks for the sparkly thread.

pattyhoo · 14/11/2018 23:06

Really enjoyed Linda's reaction to the rat this evening!

Don't know where the Christine storyline is going but it feels bleak.

Eastpoint · 14/11/2018 23:23

Thank you for stepping up Ppeatfruit and thank you Dad^3 for the stats.

I’m surprised David hasn’t told Linda to get out of the barn already.

PrincessFiorimonde · 14/11/2018 23:24

Thanks for the new thread, ppeatfruit.

Agree with posters who think the Christine storyline must surely be going somewhere - but where? Confused

LassWiADelicateAir · 14/11/2018 23:48

She has decided to linger a little longer at the Laurels

A day too late for a thread title !

Yes , I'm not sure where the Christine story is headed.

TheEfficientBaxter · 14/11/2018 23:59

I loved Lynda's famous sniff - and her imperious treatment of David!

"You may go now"

Classic Lynda Grin

ADarkandStormyKnight · 15/11/2018 00:33

The Karate Tales... I hope it works out for Helen and Lee.

DoctorTwo · 15/11/2018 04:13

Lee sounded crestfallen at Helen and her online dating. :o The Montbeliards (sp) do sound lovely though...

Minimammoth · 15/11/2018 07:14

Mooo. Inane post just so I can get further up the leader board.sympathy on the spelling front. I remember having to do lines on spelling accommodate. I still get confused with cS and ms.

ppeatfruit · 15/11/2018 10:22

There was a thumbwitch she lives in Aussie. moonwitch we had a lot in common but she' s disappeared now.

For someone so soppy about animals Lynda was cruel about rats, I've noticed that there's a fair bit of hypocrisy about rats in RL generally. Ruth was right, leave the birdshxx it's very Chaucerian. They should pipe in the smells from the cowshed too!! They should tell Lynda to find another venue.
