Thinking about Shula’s appearance has reminded me of the discussion last year about her cardigan, was it a white cardigan?

In my mind’s eye Smugula has flicked back hair and ruffles just like Lady Di circa 1981, not to mention the thread-veined face of a woman who has cantered too many hunters into the wind on frosty November mornings.

It was a cream cardigan. She had so many that Kenton didn't know which one to pick, but Alistair knew which one was favourite.

In my mind Shula has a 'sensible and practical' hairstyle that she spends a fair amount on at the salon to have dyed blonde, but it's always slightly the wrong shade for her skin colour.
Caroline was a rich brunette in my head.

This was really hard to find because I couldn't remember her name or what year she was a Bake Off contestant but who remembers this woman, Victoria Chester? She was very posh and was chief exec for a charity. She is Shula in my humble opinion.

MrsArthur thats a very Shula type look but for some reason I have always suspected that Shula has long hair in a plait that she should have had cut years ago - sort of overgrown pony club member. And cord trousers or a long skirt with very sensible shoes/sandals. More practical than fashionable.

Jenny darling would be neatly turned out with crisp blouses, pearls and skirts. I can't imagine her in trousers.

I've got that book with Shules and Mark's wedding pix and she looks pretty, Mark too!! She had her make up and hair done very expensively , the photos taken by Lord Snowdon (including the vaseline on the lens )! Sorry I was being a bit meeow there

Seriously though I agree with MrsArthurShappey that St Shugs would look very like that pic of Bake-Off lady.

Personally I've always imagined her a bit like a cross between that and Lucinda Green, née Prior-Palmer. Horsey and sensible (I actually remember the wedding photos being in Radio Times and I know what Judy Bennett looks like really, but this is how I see the appalling Shula in my mind).

I know it's not quite the objection to a cream cardigan with a collar, but all I can think of is that I would be bound to spill something tomato-y on it, as I do with most light-coloured garments before very long. The stain never comes out, either.
