Thank you R4 for the title.

The management fee will have been spent on feeding Toby, and all the bills he doesn't contribute towards. Why on earth doesn't she ask him to start paying her back, now that he has an income from the Bull?

TheAntiBoop · 14/03/2017 16:13

If £5k was her profit then I guess David got his investment back.

It was £5k

redshoeblueshoe · 14/03/2017 16:23

I thought she gave it all to Toby

RedBugMug · 14/03/2017 16:38

5k is not a lot in terms of cattle. 1k per cow? or something?
maybe she can nurse the rejected twin and use that to start her herd?

TheAntiBoop · 14/03/2017 16:51

She gave all her profit to Toby - so I would expect she gave the initial investment back to David

A mention of Patrick! The SW haven't forgotten he exists. I haven't given up hope of a reunion with Kirsty.

Megatherium · 14/03/2017 19:17

So Josh is rapidly turning out to be as self-centred and selfish as his sister. If I were David or Ruth, I would be seriously worrying how I had managed to produce two such objectionable offspring.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 14/03/2017 19:17

If anyone tried to get me to give up caffeine I'd tell them where to go! Jill is a fit, active 80+ woman. What a ludicrous idea to tell her to give up real tea and take up that herbal muck.

Efferlunt · 14/03/2017 19:25

Just popping in because of the mention of Harriet Vane. Sounds like someone Linda would choose, but also wasn't there a long discussion of the Wimsey novels on one of these threads a while back. Do you think the SWs are watching?

AuntyElle · 14/03/2017 19:26

Quite right, Gasp0, and could David have been more patronising?!

TheSilveryPussycat · 14/03/2017 21:12

EsmesBees me too!

Methinks I will have to actually listen - perhaps the film...

EBearhug · 14/03/2017 21:37

I think I'd quite like Emma, Nic and Clarrie to set up house together, without any Joe, Eddie or Will. I think there may still be hope for Ed, but he probably needs to go to Canada or Brazil or Africa or somewhere on his own, without the rest of them, to show to himself (and everyone else,) what he can do.

IAmNotAUserNumber · 14/03/2017 21:44

Another film reference tonight - Trainspotting this time. Do the SW have an intern fresh from their film studies degree at Felpersham Uni?

witchmountain · 14/03/2017 21:51

Did anyone else amuse themselves with the possibility that Carol's tea was poisoning Jill?

educatingarti · 14/03/2017 22:36

So I think that a team of archaeologists should turn up in the b&bs to dig an Anglo Saxon graveyard on the land the Brian has bought. It is the classified as an ancient monument and there are massive restrictions imposed on the land use. Eddie and Will decide to try their hand at night hawking ( with a borrowed metal detector which then gets run over by a landrover - don't ask!) and get arrested. They then decide to try their hand at offering the full Anglo Saxon experience to punters and build a mead hall in their back garden, without planning permission. Clarrie moans a lot about having to dress up as an Anglo Saxon serving wench.

Great comedy moments are provided when a group of Anglo Saxon re-enactors book the mead hall for a weekend. Linda is convinced she has seen the ghost of the woman buried in the graveyard with golden brooches and sleeve clasps. Jazzer meets a couple of warriors when he is rather the worse for wear after a night in the Bull and decides he needs to become teatotal. The cows escape again and ruin the re-enactors camp.

I don't get Ruth, didn't she strop off to NZ because her opinions weren't being listened to, and now she condones Pip's lying to David?

I wonder how this will turn out, because David is bound to go ballistic when he discovers the deception, but pretty sure Ruth will turn it on to him. Not least to avoid Jill being right about the caddish Fairbrethren.

Also noted the horridly self-centred Josh.

Francis yes, and Pip's attitude to him is horrible too. I actually don't mind him, he's very driven and unlike Pip is doing it under his own steam (pretty much) - very commendable for an 18yo. And the DP never seem to give him the credit he deserves, while applauding Pip every time she ties her own shoe-laces.

IAmNotAUserNumber · 15/03/2017 07:24

Witch yes Smile
Arti are you Hugh Canoe? Grin

educatingarti · 15/03/2017 07:33

Number - No, but I'm hoping he might be reading the thread and get some ideas.

IAmNotAUserNumber · 15/03/2017 07:34

You should pitch it Smile

JeNeSuisPasVotreMiel · 15/03/2017 07:53

Arti that's uncannily feasible

ppeatfruit · 15/03/2017 08:39

Ref. Josh, blimey you lot , haven't you ever had teenagers ot heard of sibling rivalry? I know Pip's being very adolescent, and is continuing her sibling jealousy, rather late and too long, but we're all different.

Megatherium · 15/03/2017 09:02

Josh is 20 in ;September, surely he should be getting beyond a teenage strop because someone else needs to use the kitchen table, let alone getting arsey with a cousin who's doing him a favour?
