Thank you R4 for the title.

They got a flat together and he died of a heart attack after being warned off Lil by couple of thugs, I think they beat him up, or threatened to.

Travelledtheworld · 12/03/2017 11:15

Hooray, good decision Justin !
Lots of Laffs with Fag Ash.

SenoritaViva · 12/03/2017 11:38

Ppeatfruit I agree totally, nevertheless I don't believe the scriptwriters have written him like that. I just think they make their characters too over the top (Miranda another example), a little subtlety In their character building might be better.

GrumpyOldBag · 12/03/2017 11:46

Thanks peat

and we were never supposed to like Miranda were we? No redeeming features. Obviously Lillian was going to win out of those 2.

Imbroglio · 12/03/2017 12:32

Justin is a fair replacement for Matt. Hard-headed it business, not overly scrupulous.

Perhaps Lilian will mellow him.

TheAntiBoop · 12/03/2017 14:03

That would be a bit yawnsome though

Did we ever hear anything about matts wife?

ppeatfruit · 12/03/2017 14:20

I think that Matt was trying to hide some of his income from his wife, too reduce his alimony, when they were going through their divorce at the start of his and Lil's relationship.

Blimey I surprise myself at what I remember Grin

ppeatfruit · 12/03/2017 14:22

Or her alimony (I'm not au fait with the correct lingo!)

KingscoteStaff · 12/03/2017 16:50

Yet more clunky film chat. Is this becoming a thing?

Minimammoth · 12/03/2017 17:00

Having listened to the film, I think Tobes is being lined up to become a proper farmer.

whataboutbob · 12/03/2017 17:20

Surely Miranda is going to go nuclear and try and punish Justin financially (and socially, if she has the connections) . This could be a very expensive one for him.

ppeatfruit · 12/03/2017 17:40

Why is old fim chat 'clunky' DH and I are often talking about old films we LIKE old films (not all of them of course) Grin.

I even LOVE old musicals and I don't care

Gruach · 12/03/2017 19:13

Thanks for the new thread!

Poor Lilian.Grin

By Matt. I really don't get the love for him.

I don't think Lilian has many redeeming features either. She's vain, shallow and empty headed. I was annoyed about the whinging tonight about Miranda being horrible to her- Not without reason.

KingscoteStaff · 12/03/2017 19:30

It's not the subject of the chat I found odd - I can chat for hours about musicals!

I just found the Jazzer/Kirsty and Jill/ Carol film chats a bit 'imposed' on the script, as though someone has a bet on about the number of times Citizen Kane can be mentioned before Easter.

R4 · 12/03/2017 19:31

Talking about old films is not clunky. Dropping old films into script in a meaningfulHmm way is clunky.

birdsdestiny · 12/03/2017 19:34

I am even more team Miranda now, she doesn't even want him.

Imbroglio · 12/03/2017 19:35

Jenny makes me sick.

Usha rocks.

cheminotte · 12/03/2017 20:50

Thanks for the new thread Pseudo and great title R4 . Not heard tonight's yet, but loved 'Lord of the Styes' from Jazzer on Friday. What was the film he watched with Kirsty?

Minimammoth · 12/03/2017 20:59

Jazzed and Kirsty? Possible? Wink

PrincessFiorimonde · 12/03/2017 21:48

Thanks for the new thread, Pseudo.

cheminotte It was Tango and Cash, which gets a measly 33% on Rotten Tomatoes.

ErrolTheDragon · 13/03/2017 08:45

Kirsty's review was 'so bad its good' - probably just the right sort of rubbish, along with the junk food.

Didn't Lynda get a bit close to 'product placement' for the Beeb with her shakespearean quip about the 'mixed chocs'? Grin

JeNeSuisPasVotreMiel · 13/03/2017 08:52

I thought I detected a certain reluctance on Lil's part regarding Justin's decision - possibly she would rather be a mistress than a partner?
Or maybe I missed something and I need to listen again.
