SO many posters here wanted him to return. Clearly now SOC has left, our calls for him can be answered.

As someone who hates breakfast in bed I'm already tired of Justin's overly detailed breakfast menus - yet another Ambridge man attempting to control a woman through food. (Clearly not thinking of what became of the last one ..)

So Kirsty has an avenue to an erm ... buzzing Ambridge future? Interesting. Though surely they were re-writing history the other day when she said the Grey Gables job was always meant to be temporary? I had the impression it was her dream job when she applied for it.

Matt will both want to win Lillian back, and to beat Justin. Justin was involved in him being ousted from Borchester Land etc.

Glad they brought Matt back - the way he left was a bit weird and now they can sort it out properly. While I don't think he and Lil will get back together properly, I am hoping that she won't get too shacked up with Justin either. She's better when it's FWB, no matter who the bloke.

There seems to be a growing theme with the younger women becoming firmer, stronger and clearer about the direction of their lives. First Emmur and now maybe Kirsty.

Gruach, I think all will be well. Lilian doesn't seem to do much cooking so I am pretty sure there won't be a repeat of Custardgate at the Dower House.

While listening tonight, I found myself wondering - again, as I thought the same last week - when Jill and Kirsty became bosom buddies. Am I forgetting some past scenes where these two chatted more than just a quick hello outside the village hall?

How much do we think Lilian's cheque is for? It's got to be for a fair amount or she would have thrown it back in his face. She doesn't know where the money has come from - do you think she is going to get caught up in Money Laundering trouble?

I'm also guessing that Kirsty + premium purchasing for the health club + Jill's hives will equal the invention of bee venom skincare products (what do you mean "that's already been invented"? Not in Am-World they haven't ).

I don't think Justin was involved in Matt being ousted from BL. That happened much earlier after he was sent to prison. Justin initially toppled Brian from being Chair of BL, but later thought better of it and supported Brian's successful campaign to be reinstated. Lilian attended BL meetings for a bit because she and Matt (via Amside?) owned a vital strip of land BL needed access to for the new market development. Matt was disqualified as a director so had to do everything through Lilian.

Yes I agree, but the level of delight by some posters at the idea that Lilian should be reunited with him is very peculiar.

I don't want to see Matt & Lillian back together, but he is an interesting character and at least he has a recognizable voice.

I used to enjoy the Matt & Brian interactions, they were very funny together. Wasn't Peggy trying to distribute Jack's heirlooms once and they were hilarious about the horrible Toby jugs etc? I'd happily listen to more of that at the expense of Pip & Ruth.

It was horrible that Matt let himself into the dower house while Lillian was out. Creepy thing to do.

Mind you, it would have been priceless if he'd pitched up a few weeks ago and surprised Miranda.

Actually, yes. Yes it was. I'm hoping that was done purely for melodramatic effect and isn't an indication of his new role in Lilian's life.
