"Get outta my village" screams Peggy Mitchell

I'm not sure that Piggoi has fully grasped the EA yet, so she wouldn't have said anything about Hellin giving up with breastfeeding. She's been great about the whole being in prison/MABU thing and generally positive thinking so a bit of an antidote to the Patwail.

BitOutOfPractice · 24/05/2016 16:16

I'm not saying you should have to bestow praise Gruach. Of course not. I'm just saying that the tone of the thread at the moment makes me disinclined to read it, so I don't!

BYOSnowman · 24/05/2016 16:28

I think the tone is reflective of the program at the moment

I miss the days of hopeful optimism that the dv sl would play out in the most statistically likely way!!

BitOutOfPractice · 24/05/2016 16:34

I'm sure you're right BYOS, I'm not criticising, just explaining why I'm not around at the moment after someone said it was quiet

BYOSnowman · 24/05/2016 16:36

I know - I'm not as into the thread as I have been in the past either tbh

It's hard to muster much enthusiasm

TopOfTheCliff · 24/05/2016 17:27

I've been painting a ceiling and obsessing about TA today.
Presumably Rob has a solicitor who has discussed his statement with him. Or does the victim not need one when the CPS are prosecuting? If he has one they will find it hard to keep up with his self-delusion.
I loved her so much but she was fragile
She tried to control me and never let me out alone
She was having an affair with that dyke Kirsty
She is an evil bitch who is trying to keep me away from MySon
If it wasn't for me Bridge Farm would have been bankrupt
I hate them all and despise their stupid little organic outfit

Rob believes himself every time, but will anybody else?

mummytime · 24/05/2016 17:33

There are some nice promising story lines, if only it wasn't so dominated by Hel and Rob.
Josh and his A'levels.
Pip having been dumped.
Jazzer and Tom - the reconcilliation.
Jenny's holiday.
Where do the Grundies live?
Do they make money from the elves?
The open gardens rivalry.
Dr Locke.
Borsetshire Food and Farming.
Lillian and Justin.
Just what Alistair has been up to for the last 2 years.
Dan and Dorothy - is it for real.
Lots of it basically is getting too cosy.

Actually I also remember an interview with Louiza and she praised June Spencer as an actor, I think that must have been about the time these scenes were recorded. And I can see what she meant, hoping she'd still be going as strong at June's age.

AugustaFinkNottle · 24/05/2016 17:33

No, victims aren't separately legally represented in criminal trials. But I would hope that the CPS might look at his statement and hear alarm bells, unless the police officer has massively sanitised it.

BertrandRussell · 24/05/2016 18:23

"Witness the way it took Kirsty six weeks to tell anyone about the second phone and the advice to call Women's Aid."

If I had to pick the single most completely and utterly unbelievable thing out of all the completely and utterly unbelievable things that would be it.

SmallLegsOrSmallEggs · 24/05/2016 19:11

So...Ian is sending flowers

AugustaFinkNottle · 24/05/2016 19:16

Go on Pip! Prove to us you can give up Brookfield! Do it now and move to Cumbria!

Abraid2 · 24/05/2016 19:17

Yes, did aliens abduct Kirsty for six weeks or something?

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 24/05/2016 19:18

FGS, Pip, don't delay, leave with Matthew today! However, I think the SWs are toying with us. She'll never leave.

EsmesBees · 24/05/2016 19:20

I reckon David is right and Matthew has met someone else. Otherwise it's a very strange reason to dump someone: 'I love you but not as much as my one year farming placement'Confused

Gruach · 24/05/2016 19:22

Boop for Matthew and Pip reading their (terrible) lines without flinging the paper down and storming out of the studio ... Hmm

selsigfach · 24/05/2016 19:43

Err, she's just today set up her beef venture and 5 minutes later is prepared to abandon it all. After walking on her Brazil job after 2 minutes, Miss Flakeypants hasn't learned anything. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

Gumpendorf · 24/05/2016 20:13

SOC lords it in Parliament

SOC, Tim, Louiza are at the House of Lords discussing DV...

SmallLegsOrSmallEggs · 24/05/2016 20:25

Yes if you want to know about Dv, ask a manHmm who made up an unconvincing story.

As for all the wailing and I mean ALL it is just in case we don't realise prison is not nice, especially for women, more so for pg women and especially mc special snowflakes and their families. Awful. If there was no wailing we'd never be able to get our tiny minds round just how awful it is. Hmm

ppeatfruit · 24/05/2016 21:11

Augusta Well I'm jolly glad TA is radio because Titchface totally exposing himself in court (stoma and all Grin Shock ) would be enough to send me wailing like Pat a banshee for shelter behind the sofa!!!!! Also needing a ton of brain bleach !!!

TheSilveryPussycat · 24/05/2016 21:15

So my understanding of the last couple of weeks (going only by this thread really) is that nothing much has happened really. But SOC thinks it has, and that it's riveting. And Hellin has had the baby.

I'm enjoying the thread, anyway :)

LillianGish · 24/05/2016 21:46

If I had to pick the single most completely and utterly unbelievable thing out of all the completely and utterly unbelievable things that would be it. Coupled with the fact that she knows Hellin went to see Jess and it was what Jess told her that prompted her to leave Knob.

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 24/05/2016 22:17

Oh fgs. I'm listening on the iplayer- an entire Brookfield episode. It's almost as bad as Tone and Pat whining.

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 24/05/2016 22:17

Go on Pip! Prove to us you can give up Brookfield! Do it now and move to Cumbria!

Go, go, go.

R4 · 24/05/2016 22:48

Ye Gods! Was the Matthew-actor actually paid real money for that dire performance? I have never heard such a unconvincing love scene.

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 24/05/2016 22:56

Well I've said several times I think in a cost cutting exercise at the Beeb, not only are they not paying Pip, she must be paying them to justify the frequency of her appearance in non stories.
