"Get outta my village" screams Peggy Mitchell

Presumably the mulch is going to either stink so visitors avoid the garden, or sprout fungi on precisely the right day. To be honest I can't see the latter being a problem but either story is pretty lame.

EBearhug · 11/05/2016 08:32

And Lynda will be furious with Eddie and Joe, but it will all work out okay in the end.

DadDadDad · 11/05/2016 09:43

Thanks for the new thread, Pseudo.

I'm afraid interest has waned a bit. Last thread nearly lasted two weeks which has been unheard of these past few months - have to go back to early January to find one that lasted longer. Shock

educatingarti · 11/05/2016 09:44

Place marking as I can't bear to listen to ta but would like to know what happens re hellinrob

R4 · 11/05/2016 09:56

I'm afraid interest has waned a bit.

Depends when you start measuring from. One could say that normal service has been resumed (although the CA told us that we are due to hear from Hellin tonight...)

DadDadDad · 11/05/2016 10:07

Agreed, R4 - two weeks to a thread was normal before this year; I meant that the sound and fury prompted by recent events has died down again. Although there is clearly more weariness with TA / SOC at the moment.

redshoeblueshoe · 11/05/2016 10:14

Thanks for the new thread Psuedo, another great title.
I think Keri is writing the script waving Henwee off to boarding school, as Knob will have his hands full looking after SOK Sad
If Pip is the future then I will be packing my bags she is vile.

drspouse · 11/05/2016 10:29

Do we have a book on whether it will turn out to be a girl?

Vaara · 11/05/2016 11:06

Oooh I was posting on my phone and didn't realise there was anew thread (thanks DDD for pointing it out Blush)

I'll C&P my post....

I did a Hmm face at Peggy last night admonishing JD for gossiping, or rather "dwelling on all that" was it? Like Peggy can talk, gossip is her life blood!

BOOP point for Brine and Adam. I thought they played very true talking about Julian and the wind turbines etc

"I know you're not in love with the idea Adam"
"I'm not even flirting from the other side of the room!"

mummytime · 11/05/2016 11:07

From the late post on the other thread - I think Adam and Brian's conversation was excellent too, and Jenny's gentle reminder that its not just Adam who needs to be careful what he says. It was like real conversations.

ppeatfruit · 11/05/2016 11:11

Hello everyone, thanks for the thread Psuedo I'm ctually looking forward to listen ing in in a minute . Love Peggy Mitchell screaming at knob face "You ain't faaaamily get atttta my village NAAAH"

DadDadDad · 11/05/2016 11:15

drspouse - sex, weight, date, name - I believe this is the thread you need www.mumsnet.com/Talk/radio_addicts/2617513-Helens-Baby-Sweepstake

Helenluvsrob · 11/05/2016 11:16

Love Brians comment about serena !

Vaara · 11/05/2016 11:19

Sorry, in my rush to C&P I forgot to thank Pseudo for the thread. Thank you Flowers

ppeatfruit · 11/05/2016 11:58

Vaara I think you meant Brian and Adam talking about Justin rather than Julian Grin

With ref. to Adam's green credentials, he was very keen to spray everywhere a few weeks ago, I didn't hear him complaining about that unless he was using a 'natural' pyrethrum based spray. (Which would be far too expensive for Brian).

Toomuchtea · 11/05/2016 12:04

Shameless place marking.

Thanks for the new thread Pseudo - another excellent title.

BertrandRussell · 11/05/2016 12:06

"Like Peggy can talk, gossip is her life blood!"

Is it? I don't see it.......

JessieMcJessie · 11/05/2016 12:08

Haven't we decided that "Julian" is the combo of Justin + Lilian, like Brangelina? Smile

JessieMcJessie · 11/05/2016 12:09

Peggy doesn't gossip, she bitches.

BertrandRussell · 11/05/2016 12:11

"Peggy doesn't gossip, she bitches."

I don't think she does that either!

middlings · 11/05/2016 12:11

Thanks for the welcome DadDadDad.

The grooming of Henry is why I really can't switch back on. I heard the episode where he went back to Rob's and I listened to two more after that but now I really can't listen any more as it's too uncomfortable.

Are there ANY other story lines going on??

Vaara · 11/05/2016 12:21

Regarding Peggy, I do think she has a close "interest" in village life and she was full of speculation in the first day or two after the stabbing. I thought for her to direct JD onto other topics was a little rich....

R4 · 11/05/2016 12:35

Are there ANY other story lines going on??

We currently have sibling quarrels between Pip and Josh about one of the annual events - Open Farm Sunday. We also have rivalry between Lynda (involving a 'comdey' Grundy subplot) and Bert about getting their gardens ready for public viewing. And the cricket team lost to another village, featuring commentary-from-the-spectators and a discussion about of the timing of the Tea Interval.
It was almost like the good old days.

middlings · 11/05/2016 12:39

Thank you R4. I think we should ask the government to install a national Rob warning klaxon. You'd get a blast throughout the nation when he's coming on the air and a blast when he goes off again

Then the rest of us could listen to the bits inbetween.

My parents have been married for nearly 42 years. My Dad put up with the Archers until about six months ago and now refuses to be in the same room when it's on.

JessieMcJessie · 11/05/2016 12:39

Really Bertrand? What about her sniping to all and sundry about Christine's annoying habits and deficient baking skills? Or her comments about not having hormones in her day re Helen?
