Have finally caught up with you lot - with the thread that is, have stopped deliberately listening, catching maybe one TA a week as RL has gone silly recently. I can only echo the frustration and bewilderment expressed on here as to how TA is being written now - it is bizarre. I have decided that being forced to go cold turkey on TA was an an actual Good Thing coming out of silly amount of RL work at present. I'm feeling pleasantly detached from it all. Delurking again - I loved the Brian & Adam chat. As if Brine would have to ask advice on whether Jenny Darling would like a relaxing exotic expensive holiday?! I thought he was going to suggest a renewal of vows which would have been more surprising and very notBrian. Also enjoyed the idea that Alistair would send a text before 6am about the cricket. What with the clunky references to David for whom there was no budget this episode, it's getting more Acorn Antiques by the day...

Must say I struggled to see the point of "David going with them" when he didn't appear and there was no indication that the trip changed anything for him. It wasn't necessary for Brian and Adam to have been waiting for him for any of their conversations to happen.

Argh the Pip & Matthew saga is yet another completely unconvincing storyline. We all know it's going nowhere, just like the road, the move north, Ruth's mum etc etc.

I get SOC is all about drama over credibility but this is just shooting themselves in the foot. There is no drama if none of the listeners believe that any of these scenarios is actually going to happen.
