Is anyone else getting worried about Josh's A levels? It may be that I'm over sensitive to this, having teenage children, but he always seems to be doing something other than working.

EmilyDickinson · 13/04/2016 19:48

Working in the sense of college work I mean. Clearly he works very hard at everything else. He's going to be the entrepreneur of that generation I think.

Shallishanti · 13/04/2016 19:51

mmm, I was thinking he should have explained to Neil about his EXTREMELY SUBTLE marketing strategy...give free samples of pasture fed eggs to existing customers, who all conclude they are OK but no better than the usual ones and so...not worth paying extra for.

DadDadDad · 13/04/2016 19:56

I nearly thought Neil was going to conclude tonight by telling Josh he needs to put all his eggs in one basket. Although maybe it's more a case of putting all Neil's eggs in every basket and none of the FBs. Grin

cheminotte · 13/04/2016 20:11

Loved that ballad Augusta . thanks

Wordsaremything · 13/04/2016 20:11

I thought that too gussie.

SmallLegsOrSmallEggs · 13/04/2016 20:13

Good to hear Neil being assertive.

Stickerrocks · 13/04/2016 20:29

I was waiting for exactly the same phrase D3. It was so predictable that I was surprised when he said something else.

PseudoBadger · 13/04/2016 21:01

Oh dear they've done it again. Advance notice of a food hygiene inspection? Bollocks.

Chilli was the first thing that sprang to mind for me too, Augusta

RhinestoneCowgirl · 13/04/2016 21:09

I thought Chilli night Grin. Mind you Neil was being very assertive, so you never know...

RhinestoneCowgirl · 13/04/2016 21:10

I really enjoyed the Ed/Emmurr convo this evening, nice to hear things going well for them (just hope it isn't a precursor to everything being terrible again, because they are poor and that's what happens to poor people)

MovingOnUpMovingOnOut · 13/04/2016 21:15

I am listening again. Well I'm checking in here to check there's no unpleasantness and then listening.

Mrsmorton · 13/04/2016 21:20

I still need to know whether it was actually Alf who stole the money...

JessTitchener · 13/04/2016 21:29

I still want to know who stole the bunting...

YesterdayOnceMore · 13/04/2016 21:53

Augusta- isn't it Ian who is Henry's godfather? Or are they both?
Gruach - I love the analysis of the Archers on the previous page.

TeenAndTween · 13/04/2016 21:59

For those wondering upthread, I have checked my Archers Encyclopaedia (Oxfam purchase) and Jill is named in there as Ann Tregoran's god mother. So it is not something they just invented.

Also, as a complete aside: Would juvenile arthritis be enough to prevent someone joining the army?

polyhymnia · 13/04/2016 23:15

Just seen SOC and Louisa P on Newsnight. Did anyone else?

JessieMcJessie · 13/04/2016 23:23

Tween they explained away the juvenile arthritis by having Dan say on air that his medical reports confirmed he had grown out of it and army recruiters happy with that; apparently it is medically accurate.

Gruach · 13/04/2016 23:28

Newsnight?Shock

Blimmin' 'eck! What's happening tomorrow? Will Rob leap from his bed, grab a Kalashnikov and slaughter the entire village?

The juvenile arthritis question has been addressed on more than one thread, the last quite recently. IIRC people who knew said it could be grown out of.

Thanks Yesterday - I'm constantly trying to answer the question on all the Ambridge haters threads "why is this worth listening to"?

glowfrog · 14/04/2016 07:22

Re: Adam not mentioning Helen - don't forget it's been over a week since it happened - so Adam has probably mentioned her before - just off air.

Gruach · 14/04/2016 07:36

During the Newsnight interview I'm sure SOC poured fulsome praise upon Louiza Patikas' acting skills - just off air. Hmm

vixsatis · 14/04/2016 07:40

So who will be Borsetshire Businesswoman of the Year? It's clearly not going to be Elizabeth

BeaufortBelle · 14/04/2016 08:08

Oh it will be Helen, nominated in advance and awarded I absentia for her cheese making and management skills, especially the speedy termination of those who are under performing. She's introduced innovative techniques for performance management. Sorry, couldn't resist.
