Rob - dead? No, no, he's, er, resting. He's just pining for the Canadian plains. As Helen is taken into custardy, discuss the Archers here.

Definitely liked Peggy being denied entry. It's possible I may have stuck my tongue out at the radio in a truly mature way when that happened...

DadDadDad · 04/04/2016 21:24

And Pseudo's comment in the OP reflects the extraordinary truth - a thread filled I one day - posters falling over themselves to comment, lurkers joining in, new contributors. More than Nigel's death this has shaken Ambridge (listeners) to the core. Kirsty's wedding didn't get this level of response.

I think we're never going to surpass this and maybe it's time to retire my spreadsheets and focus just on the story. I'd be interested to hear if others think I should give stats a rest.

EmilyDickinson · 04/04/2016 21:24

I wonder if Henry will say anything to Tony and Pat about what happened, and if so, what?

As Rob is alive (for the present) I wonder if Henry will be interviewed? I would think that he ought to be.

EnglishFern · 04/04/2016 21:25

I wasn't sure how Peggy had managed to get there. Suddenly there seemed to be a crowd.

I suppose put an ambo in a small village and you're going to get a cast of hundreds within a few minutes....

JessieMcJessie · 04/04/2016 21:26

sage they explained it away by saying that he had been having tests as he got older and had basically grown out of it; he said that all the medical records had been reviewed by the recruiting officers and they had declared him fit. I think that there was indeed some confirmation from medics on this thread that juvenile arthritis could indeed be "grown out of". Now, Brine's epilepsy on the other hand....

Limelight · 04/04/2016 21:26

I like your stats D3. You should have a special hat.

KingscoteStaff · 04/04/2016 21:28

Is it good or bad if the cottage (and all evidence) burns down due to incinerating pie?

BYOSnowman · 04/04/2016 21:28

The stats are good - and they don't come up very often.

I would be interested to know if high posting rate is due to being posses off rather than enjoying the sl!!

Stickerrocks · 04/04/2016 21:28

D3 please don't retire. Although I'm sure there are other geeks (including me) who would love to get their hands on your spreadsheet. Out of interest, do you do pivot tables?

Swirlingasong · 04/04/2016 21:29

I like the stats! I understood Pat and Tony's concern for Helen but surely after taking in the situation one of them should just have been getting Henry away as soon as possible not suggesting they go with Helen?

Limelight · 04/04/2016 21:29

Maybe she switched off the oven when she was cleaning up the custard. Not the blood. Just the custard.

plimsolls · 04/04/2016 21:29

d3 if you enjoy your stats, keep on and I bet lots of people will be interested. But, if you'd like to retire from them, I'm sure no one will resent you for it.

Fink · 04/04/2016 21:30

I like the stats. But then, I like stats in general. Can't beat a good spreadshit! Smile

KingscoteStaff · 04/04/2016 21:30

Love the stats. Yes yes to a special Stat Hat for DDD.

Particularly impressed by people who know which pie filling would be in season.

HuckleberryGin · 04/04/2016 21:31

Peggy said she heard/saw the blue lights.

Would they really have put her in handcuffs?

Wordsaremything · 04/04/2016 21:31

Yes I know you have d3. And I think you've enough self awareness to realise you are being horribly indulged.

So give me your soft toy. NOW! I am so disappointed in you d 3. (Clang) There, it's gone. in the bin. Now go to your room like a good little boy - don't you dare cry - and play on your abacus. ( not really just saying)

On this thread we've had women characters unfairly castigated in the same breath as barristers being referred to exclusively by the male pronoun, a very lovely male poster indulged and flattered whilst new posters are ignored ...

Meanwhile a Storyline that I do think has done a lot of good, even if faulty has been flamed from-the top of Lakey Hill to the gibbous flaps of Pratts Bottom. Not great really.

Stickerrocks · 04/04/2016 21:32

I'm surprised that Henry wasn't interviewed with Pat or Tone present, before he has a chance to forget what he saw or get coached by Pat "Don't be silly Henry, Mummy is mad so poor Daddy wouldn't hand her a knife. Has Mummy been letting you play Grand Theft Auto to put these silly ideas in your head?"

R4 · 04/04/2016 21:32

D^3 don't lose heart. I like your statistics even if they do highlight toThe Powers That Be that they get most responses when they do the most ridiculous SL.Sad

Vango · 04/04/2016 21:33

DadDadDad and BYOS - I made lots of comments on the story lines you refer to (Nigel/Wedding etc). I just didn't commit them to the screen at the time but you can add my imaginary rants to an imaginary list Grin

BYOS - it's definitely the 'pissed off-ness' that's caused me to de-lurk. Even Nigel's scream and the subsequent debate about the height of the roof wasn't as frustrating as this has been!

RhinestoneCowgirl · 04/04/2016 21:33

Jazzer was left brain damaged after taking ketamine, but the fresh country air of Ambridge cleared it up along with Brine's epilepsy

SealSong · 04/04/2016 21:33

.

plimsolls · 04/04/2016 21:34

Oh really? Not again. Is it something about busy threads that attracts people to come and complain- or are you joking words? If so apologies, I'm a new poster.

CuttedUpPear · 04/04/2016 21:34

The stats subplot in these threads is one of the best things about it.

It's really not on to arrive on a thread of long time posters and call them cliquey.
someone might stab you

spiker · 04/04/2016 21:34

starsorwater

R def won't like tuna after this.

Grin Grin Grin

Hadron21 · 04/04/2016 21:35

Crikey you lot are fast posters!
I hated last night, it felt like a grenade in a beatifully crafted plot. With the support and advice from WA I expected better. I've not listened tonight (on purpose) but I'm hoping for a better exit for Rob.
I'd liked to have seen Helen leaving Rob and her struggle to try to quash the village gossip. A court case does not interest me. Oddly, only Brian's reaction is something I'd be interested in.
On another note, too many characters have been dormant for too long to see the real fallout. Alice / Chris / Hayley / Jazzer / Ian / Kate - to me, their reaction is the drama. These are the characters that at times have the most interesting opinions and are sometimes unpredictable.
Sorry for the epic post - I'm a lover of this thread but you all seem to post so elequently at times I remain an avid reader, not contributer.
