Helen knows she's not cracking up - Knob is an eggomaniac.

Are we eggshausted with this storyline?

Aahh, more stereotyping then - Alice's West Indian mother was a teenage thug Shock

PseudoBadger · 30/03/2016 20:21

Ok are there any thread title suggestions that I have missed over the last few threads?

SliceOfLime · 30/03/2016 20:30

Wow over 900 posts already ! Is there a record for shortest time to fill a thread?! Will have a think about titles...

SliceOfLime · 30/03/2016 20:35

Will Rob be made an April Fool of by an escaping Helen? Hopefully his chickens (pastured of course) will all come home to roost, and not in the Fairbrethren's caravan...

recyclingbag · 30/03/2016 20:36

Another 'feisty' sort

Gruach · 30/03/2016 20:53

Woman on the edge of a nervous breakdown? Will this be the great escape or prisoner cell block H? *

Though I'd favour anything beginning with Cunting bunting ...

*For the avoidance of doubt I have either never seen or completely forgotten the content of said screen stories. So I am not responsible for their content. It is just a play on words. And any other disclaimers I have been unwise enough not to include here.

Gruach · 30/03/2016 20:54

Oh, it was verge wasn't it? "on the verge of a nervous ..."?

selsigfach · 30/03/2016 20:57

Oh you're all so suspicious on here, why can't Dorothy just be a perfectly nice young girl?
Grin
I bet she's Knob's secret love child.

PseudoBadger · 30/03/2016 20:57

We have 'cuntery folk' in the pipeline

Is there a record for shortest time to fill a thread?

Ahem, statistician coming through. Until recently the record was held by the thread from late April2014, which took 8.5 days. Since then, threads 48 and 49 have beaten that spectacularly with thread 48 holding a record of just under six days. This thread looks like shaving another day off that.

23 April2014 still holds record for most posts in twenty four hours (329 I think) but I need to review the past few days on that point.

SliceOfLime · 30/03/2016 21:04

Thanks DDD !

R4 · 30/03/2016 21:06

Well that was just weird. Or have I been doing it wrong all this time? bf/gf of DC get a take-us-as-you-find-us supper. Not a three course mid-week roast with after dinner coffee and mints.
And who has yellow towels for goodness sake!?

Fink · 30/03/2016 21:15

We have some yellow towels (to be fair, we have towels in a lot of colours, yellow is just one of the pack). Not for guests though, DM's rule that guests only get white towels (because they are the best towels rather than because she's a towel racist).

And first visit of a bf/gf would get 2 courses plus coffee.

Living with my parents in middle age has its advantages. Grin

IorekByrnisonsArmour · 30/03/2016 21:15

... and such a well organised linen cupboard.

Is Smugula a Marie Kondo fan?

Gruach · 30/03/2016 21:16

It was all rather pushy wasn't it? What new relationship could survive a parent being so suckky uppy? Shula seems overly desperate for Dan to be - I'm not sure what.

And I'm missing louche, dangerous Freddy who in my mind is shaping up to be another Anatole Kuragin (BBC version).

DadDadDad · 30/03/2016 21:18

Just a reminder that it's probably your last chance to chip in thoughts on a potential new smiley in celebration of 50 threads. I've stopped counting votes as I think it's down to kicking round a few more popular ideas.

I think people posted a lot last night as the thread went off the rails
Confused

Grauch is the word straight

glowfrog · 30/03/2016 21:51

Aww Clarrie and Eddie... What good people. Sniff.

I almost want it to be Alf now because if it turns out to be Rob, they will feel awful and they don't deserve to!

R4 · 30/03/2016 21:53

I've lost track of Jim. Is he still at The Stables or has he gone home to Greenacres?

AnnieNoMouse · 30/03/2016 21:53

But R4 - just how long do your children's relationships last after the new partners have been brought home to see you? Surely a packet of After Eights and proper yellow towels (in choice of sizes of course) is the least you could do to ensure the survival of your genes?
I personally said goodbye to many a young man when their mothers' redcurrant gravies failed to come up to scratch.

NotdeadyetBOING · 30/03/2016 21:56

Oh - so relieved to see all is fine and dandy again in thread-world tonight.

Checked in briefly yesterday and was v. upset to see all the agro. Love this thread should get out more , specifically its levity and wittiness. Couldn't bear to see it compromised and gloriously amusing posters being gagged.

Might Dorothy have a racy past and now be on the wagon?

LowDudgeon · 30/03/2016 22:02

AnnieNoMouse this made me roar
(Just wanted to let you know Grin)

EBearhug · 30/03/2016 22:06

So Dot's due for a crash as she cautiously drives herself back to Brum in the half-light? Surely a relationship where they're all so madly adoring of each other is doomed to an early end?

LillianGish · 30/03/2016 22:06

Just popping in to say I have just moved house and have NO WIFI!!!!!!! I am missing you all SOOOOOO much. DH has been an absolute saint downloading the podcast for me at work so I can at least listen, but it's not the same. No idea how long it will take - cursing the French internet providers. Timing could not be worse Sad

AugustaFinkNottle · 30/03/2016 22:14

How about a thread title referencing SOK slouching towards Ambridge to be born?
