Wishful thinking. I think she's in it for the long haul Sad

OP posts:
RockingStones · 03/09/2015 15:33

Didn't we all agree HW would have had buildings insurance, and it was contents insurance that the Grundys lacked. Clarrie was moaning that they'd have a lovely new cottage but no furniture. As tenants though, how do they stand legally? not sure HW can just refuse to do up the place and then exist them? Nor can she put up the rent to existing tenants, or can she? In the northern provinces things be different of course.

I will now google RT event . Though fear on those dates I may be unfit to travel - having a minor op on 17th that might need a little recovering from. I wish they'd consulted me on dates. Smile

Davros · 03/09/2015 16:02

Hope you can come and, of course, hope you recover from your op. The thought of the RT event might give you super human strength

RockingStones · 03/09/2015 16:25

I do hope so, Davros. Being so far from home might be difficult if I am below par though. argh! Haven't googled yet - been so busy sorting out ds3's academic future (one hopes) over on Chat. aargh again!

Gruach · 03/09/2015 17:07

That might well be the reason for her noticeable absence mummytime. (How on earth do you find these things out? Should I have googled before I blamed SOC and associates?)

If so I hope she'll feel able to return soon.

Dumdedumdedum · 03/09/2015 18:38

Mummytime, Hedli Niklaus's husband died in July 2012, not this year.

Gruach · 03/09/2015 19:15

Yay!

She's started the fightback!

Stickerrocks · 03/09/2015 19:17

I dipped in & out just now. So Rob is "very good at keeping an eye on people". Why was Helen apologising for tea?

BlackeyedSusan · 03/09/2015 19:33

yes.. pointed.. about helen. he has moved to keeping an eye on her all over the bloody farm. evil bastard. Helen will know that was meant for her. and those builders are going to be a disaster. like tina the shop manager.

he is an incompetant fool who gets away with all sorts by keeping moving.

Charlie is on to him, I think which is why he was looking at the books. I bet he manages to find a contact number for stefan as well somewhere.

and Johnny seems to have a good perspective on the situation. I wonder if he or he and tom will out rob as an dv perpatrator.

oh for the downfall of rob. Hope bridge farm does not go under.

Gruach · 03/09/2015 19:41

I really like the direction this seems to be taking now. Helen in subversive mode could be the best thing ever.

Stickerrocks · 03/09/2015 19:46

Poor Henry seems to get sent to bed at the drop of a hat. Perhaps Rob will start forcing him upstairs at 5 to get him out of the way, so he can have Helen all to himself. After all, Henry will be worn out after starting school & Rob hates it when Henry shows a spark of character.

R4 · 03/09/2015 20:18

I luffs Brine.Grin
Can you ever imagine Rob maturing to be an old rogue like Brine? No, me neither.

mummytime · 03/09/2015 20:38

Sorry Dumdedumdedum - they hid the date on the Obituary I read.

IorekByrnisonsArmour · 03/09/2015 21:00

Is pseudo psychic? Or does she have a direct line to SOC??

Could Helen be kicking Rob in the balls sooner than we thought?

InimitableJeeves · 03/09/2015 21:14

Not too sure. Her desperation that Johnny shouldn't tell anyone she was unhappy was rather sad.

Gruach · 03/09/2015 21:18

It's true - thread titles are often wonderfully prescient.

Helen's too proud/scared for any direct attack on Rob but what she did today was perfect. Invisibly kicked him in his boasting rights ...

AlisonWunderland · 03/09/2015 21:37

I can't believe Hellun hasn't wised up to Titchyknob yet

Gruach · 03/09/2015 21:39

But she has ...

stilllearnin · 03/09/2015 21:40

ANNOUNCEMENT - my dad has changed his mind about Knob! Grin

Gruach · 03/09/2015 21:46

That's probably what made the difference to Helen stilllearnin.Grin

Star For your newly enlightened parent.

AlisonWunderland · 03/09/2015 21:55

At last! I'm so out of touch.
I'll try to catch the omnibus

RockingStones · 03/09/2015 21:55

Oh, mazeltov, stillearnin. Best news I've had for days. Star

AND ds3 - aged 20 - so a young man, and not normally a Listener, glared at the radio tonight when Knob was talking.
And said: 'Is he a controlling husband?'

RockingStones · 03/09/2015 21:57

And I'll have to Listen Again later. Was so busy being proud I missed much of the dialogue.

Impostersyndrome · 03/09/2015 22:25

Has anyone seen this clever parakeet on the archers Twitter feed twitter.com/paradisefoundpn/status/639511628413816832

LillianGish · 03/09/2015 22:28

Huge BOOP for stillearnin's dad.

Stickerrocks · 03/09/2015 22:28

Just listened again to pick up on bits I missed earlier. Hooray for Helen, accidentally giving Rob the wrong time so that she could share a special moment with Henry without him butting in.
