Wishful thinking. I think she's in it for the long haul Sad

I think it would be an interesting way to 'rehabillitate' the dreadful Kate if she could somehow be the one to unmask Rob.

ppeatfruit · 17/09/2015 16:49

Well with Debbie's investment, good will and hard work, especially from Kate, she could be well on the way to being 'rehabilitated'.

CheezyBlasters · 17/09/2015 17:32

What got to me was Rob saying 'You don't think that' Not, 'please don't think that!' or, 'Don't think that! I didn't mean that!' Which would be normal. He was telling her what she thinks, or trying to.

ppeatfruit · 17/09/2015 17:56

Ah but he's not normal is he Cheezy? and poor Hell has just discovered that she's in a very dysfunctional relationship. Sad

CheezyBlasters · 17/09/2015 18:07

Exactly ppeatfruit Helen's conflicted but seems quietly stubborn at the moment.

enochroot · 17/09/2015 18:11

Helen can do stubborn. She's been stubborn for years! She's been stubborn towards everyone else about her relationship with Rob.

I'm hoping she will use her stubbornness against him at long last. It would be a far better outcome for this SL if Helen can find her own way to defeat him.

ppeatfruit · 17/09/2015 18:21

Yes true enoch

BYOSnowman · 17/09/2015 18:22

Agree that Helen getting herself out of this would be by far the best outcome. Definitely don't want her being rescued by a man. Or it ending in murder!!

LillianGish · 17/09/2015 18:39

I'm hoping she will use her stubbornness against him at long last. Well put and an excellent thought. I hope so too. It ought to be a nightmare being married to Helen.

KingscoteStaff · 17/09/2015 19:19

Carol and coven will have a seance to raise Grace.

StubbleTurnips · 17/09/2015 20:08

Not sure I could've handled much more from Peep about how big her muffin was Hmm

BYOSnowman · 17/09/2015 20:27

Why all this maudlin interest in grace?

Travelledtheworld · 17/09/2015 21:05

60 years since Grace died and there is a special feature on Radio 4 this coming Saturday afternoon.

selsigfach · 17/09/2015 21:21

How many listeners are there who actually remember a character who died 60 years ago? It's ridiculous!

BYOSnowman · 17/09/2015 21:22

Not sure why we are being forced to remember it through th show though. All very interesting and what but its so far removed from anything now it's just boring me.

EBearhug · 18/09/2015 00:46

They replay it so often it's probably the Archers scene I've heard more than any other. We've never been allowed to forget.

CheezyBlasters · 18/09/2015 01:33

[Smile] EBearhug. Like all family events the repurcussions go on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on an

EBearhug · 18/09/2015 02:22

You're right - the last big falling out in my extended family really dated back to an accidental death in the '50s and a will from around that time. It's no wonder I find aspects of TA credible.

EBearhug · 18/09/2015 02:23

(The actual falling out was about a decade ago, and there's still no thaw.)

CheezyBlasters · 18/09/2015 02:31

It is ridic, all of it and resonates.

LillianGish · 18/09/2015 06:35

I think what is particularly frustrating is the resurrecting (and even rewriting) of this ancient history while letting so many other recently concocted plots drop off the radar. To be fair though I think Jill has good reason to be wary of the Fairbrethren - more because of Robin than Grace (didn't we calculate that Robin's wife could well have been pregnant with one or other of them while he was having his affair with Elizabeth?) They do have the effect of making Peep very giggly and silly and they have got her running round after them.

Eastpoint · 18/09/2015 06:51

The whole Fairbrother goose enterprise seems very ill thought out. No experience with livestock, no contacts to rely on to sell the end product & it sounds as if they don't really have enough capital.

SmallLegsOrSmallEggs · 18/09/2015 08:08

didn't we calculate that Robin's wife could well have been pregnant with one or other of them while he was having his affair with Elizabeth?

Did notice the tone in Jill's voice when peep said it was before Rex was even born.

Peep knows about the affair but does Rex?

BYOSnowman · 18/09/2015 08:49

Yes I think it was confirmed that Rex was in existence in some form at the time of the affair

Well we all know pip is an idiot who will hopefully pil the right brother (although they're a pair of idiots as well and I would quite happily see goose related farm accidents)

The grace sl is pure navel gazing, self indulgent nonsense. I would have more truck with it if phil were still alive.
