She was Olivia. Then she moved to the Golf Club. And more recently Caroline coaxed her back to be Manager of all of Grey Gables.

So she's been Manager throughout the flood and GG refugee aftermath. With not a word spoken.

And Jamie, like Christopher - a worthwhile representative of the non-landowning youth done good - has been completely silenced too.

Hello, Brenda! It's a farm shop at Bridge Farm, to replace Ambridge Organics, the shop they used to run in Borchester. Helen set it up and managed it for umpteen years. Rob has managed to inveigle her into giving it up because it's all too much for her - those nametapes don't write themselves, you know!

[When my children started school I wrote their names on their garments with a marker pen. I think it took about 2 minutes. But I digress.]

Re Kathy - I don't know if we heard this on air, but I surmise that she is going to be managing the whole hotel, so the replacement is to do her job while she steps up.

Tom & Helen are brother & sister and run Bridge Farm, after their parents Pat & Tony recently retired. It's an organic farm, with a lot of veg, also some beef cattle, and until last year, a dairy farm. (They still have a dairy, where they make cheese and yoghurt, but now buy in the milk.) And Tom has pigs, too, though I can't remember if they're still organic.

Until recently, they had a shop in Borchester, called Ambridge Organics. They have closed that, but want to open a shop on the farm itself, selling the same sort of produce. They're going to be converting some/all of the packing shed for this (presumably they have other space for packing their veg boxes) - this has been used since the flood for the village shop, as the village shop premises were made unfit because of the flooding. Of course, the village shop may not be going back to the original shop premises, because of Hazel Woolley's dastardly plans to convert it all to luxury accommodation, but that's not actually anything to do with the Bridge Farm plans, whatever Susan Carter may be ranting about the subject.

Ambridge Organics - a new permanent farm shop on Bridge Farm land intended as a retail outlet for their own produce now they've closed the Borchester deli.

The shop in Borchester was always Helen's thing. It's more than painful to see what Rob is doing.

I'm back and have listened carefully to the repeats; Wow and double wow at the R&H (was it rape or not?) scene. My opinion is that he knows she uses female condoms and forced himself on her before she could get one from the bathroom upstairs. She seems to have at last realised that she's married a SHIT but can't admit it to anyone, least of all herself.
