Shamelessly adding to the Debbie joy (and BOOPing for Brine as well) as this has dropped of my threads. Also agree with everyone else that something wasn't quite right about Alex in his final scene. I really hope this isn't going to be the plotline of Kate's redemption though eg she chases Alex off and Phoebe sobs gratefully and there's a scene of tender and utterly unconvincing mother/daughter rapprochement.

Nah, I reckon/hope:

Kate will barge in on the party uninvited and get shit-faced.
Phoebe won't want to sleep with Alex and will kick him out.
Kate will make a move on him (again in the pool??) and Brain will find them at it.

Gosh, that was odd. I thought for a few seconds tonight that Charlie was talking to himself but it turned out he was talking to Tom. They were indistinguishable. This is an unforgivable error in casting/direction. Why haven't they sorted it out? When 'Adam' first re-entered the cast, listeners complained that his voice wasn't distinctive enough so Andrew Wincott and the production team put a huge amount of effort into creating that very distinctive delivery. Tom needs the same.

Apart from everything else, old Tom always sounded miserable. New Tom sounds as if he's grinning all the time. Most disconcerting.

More BOOP points for Brine. He really is the best actor in The Archers, IMHO.

Ooh! Charlie's suspicious about Stefan's convenient disappearance but can't pursue the culvert matter without him. Rob continues to be teflon-coated.

Oh dear. Helens so happy being engaged to rob and so happy at the prospect of running bridge farm with Tom, I hope that when she realises they're incompatible that she can tell which is the genuine, wholehearted deal.

I do hope Charlie doesn't let the culvert mystery drop - probably wants rob to think he has, but carry on quietly digging. After all it did nearly kill him.

I think that Charlie will take advantage of Rob's holiday to investigate Stefan's disappearance. I wonder who does all the payroll/HR?

When rob 'chooses' to leave his job which dark do you think he will be working on. Bye bye organic principles.

Payroll for Berrow must be done at BL's office because Charlie came to tell Rob about the child support thing. Therefore employees' contact details must be on file at head office.
I hope Charlie simply turns the matter over to the police.
