Won't someone please give Kenton a kick in the FA Cup Finals, and a link to Money Saving Expert?

Excellent blog about ambridge marriage but she missed Neil and Susan. I would marry Neil. But not Susan no matter how good her chilli.

ZeroFunDame · 25/06/2015 21:13

Go back and read it again mink. She did mention them!

Yurts and yoga. Well that wasn't predictable or anything.

Nice that phoebe wants the bbq at home. Wonder if the new neighbours will complain about smoke and noise or stay silently behind their new fence.

Also predictable that Mike is already haunting ambridge.

JessieMcJessie · 26/06/2015 05:54

I was taken aback at how rude Kate was to Roy, and about Hayley as well. I can't quite remember why she hates him so much these days, is it really just about the effect that the affair had on Phoebe? I know we're supposed to love to hate her but I think they're actually going a bit too far with this characterisation of her as such a nasty hypocritical bitch. Lilian would not stand for that if she could hear her.

Eastpoint · 26/06/2015 06:00

My take on it was that Phoebe wanted to have a BBQ away from Kate.

minkGrundy · 26/06/2015 07:39

My ad. I notice frim the comments I am not the only one who thinks Neil's a catch.

toldmywrath · 26/06/2015 09:12

JessieMcJ there was an interesting juxtaposition when Roy entered the room & Lilian exclaimed "hello darling" (but Kate said what do you want -or words to that effect)It really jumped out how nasty Kate is to Roy. It might be a case of sour grapes/jealousy that he & Hayley have made such a fine job of raising Feebs. But Kate should be pleased, not jealous!

ppeatfruit · 26/06/2015 09:44

Well a BOOP point for that ep. IMVHO. Roy is getting himself together for feeebs at last and showing up Kate's meanness, even she is getting Lil to look at her drinking habit (You're all thinking 'that ppeat WOULD say that Grin).

Dave is very gently suggesting that Brine IS an effing dinosaur.

ppeatfruit · 26/06/2015 09:54

toldmywrath I'm confused, did you use the 'infamy' on this thread? Sorry if I read it and didn't notice! It's one of kenneth William's from a Carry On film I think. Though of course it could be older.

campocaro · 26/06/2015 11:00

Kenneth Williams' immortal line "Infamy, Infamy, they've all got it in for me", was taken from the Jimmy Edwards radio show Take It From Here, written by Frank Muir and Denis Norden

squeaver · 26/06/2015 12:56

Yes, vg episode. If Brian's worried about Adam's herbal ley, what is he going to think when Kate's yurts arrive?

Agree about the juxtaposition between "Ooh Aunty Lillian, I'm so pleased you like my idea, now let's see if we can get you out of the lotus position" and "What do you want, Roy, you disgusting pizza munching hobbit?". She's a good actress.

ppeatfruit · 26/06/2015 13:10

That makes sense campocaro.

I had an idea about Kate's retreat; there's no way that Brine and Jenny would entertain a load of hippies BUT Lil might once Lynda et al have left . We'll get her going teetotal, loosing weight and juicing healthy ingredients, plus chanting mantras yet Grin

Iwantacampervan · 26/06/2015 17:41

Lovely line from Kate about not wanting Phoebe embarrassed in front of her friends - she would ever do that to her of course!

TopazRocks · 26/06/2015 18:26

Quite something when Kate manages to embarrass her aunt as well as her daughter. That comment from Lilia about 'I'll just leave you to your little chat' was quite telling. I wonder if she'll do/say anything though.

ZeroFunDame · 26/06/2015 19:14

What is going on with Tony?

Are we approaching doom music? Or a respectful silence?

selsigfach · 26/06/2015 20:18

And which one kissed Pip?

ZeroFunDame · 26/06/2015 20:26

I think it was TobyTrouble - particularly given how delighted Pip was ...

It must be very wonderful to grow up knowing you will inherit both land and livelihood from your parents.

TopazRocks · 26/06/2015 20:42

Have Pip or David actually discussed the land rent arrangement with Ruth? I hope she'll be livid when she finds out ....

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 26/06/2015 20:55

Renting out your land so your daughter can get her leg over. Nice.

We must be due a farming related death? Please can it happen to pip.

BitOutOfPractice · 27/06/2015 09:04

Topaz that's what I was shouting at the radio thinking too. No way would David do that without OKing it with Rooth

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 27/06/2015 09:37

Me too. Ruth has other things on her mind so we might not hear her going ballistic, but how ludicrous to make that decision without running it past her!

It was definitely Toby who kissed Pip and Rex who was clearly embarrassed/put out. Jealousy or just cringing at his brother's behaviour?

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 27/06/2015 10:27

Fair brother love triangle on the way - yawn!!

Love the fact the road developments have stirred no interest in the listenership!!

Merse · 27/06/2015 15:34

Giggly, flirty Pip is just unbearable.

And agree with whoever it was upthread saying they felt Kate had been vilified to the point of pastiche and not even Lilian would want to hang out with her. They may share a love of boozing and general naughtiness, but Lilian is a 'good egg' and would surely disapprove of Kate's selfishness.
