Yes, Phoebe was born at Glastonbury in a tepee. Roy wasn't there.

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 26/06/2014 17:22

Was Roy present?

PetulaGordino · 26/06/2014 17:23

aah have misremembered

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 26/06/2014 17:23

Xpost

So Roy isn't the festival type!!

PetulaGordino · 26/06/2014 17:25

cast photo alert in roy's profile it says he doesn't like hippies due to history with kate, so the festival thing (now) does seem far-fetched

AllMimsyWereTheBorogoves · 26/06/2014 17:26

They recorded a bit at Glastonbury for background colour - announcement over the PA system that Kate Aldridge had had a baby girl, I think, followed by a big cheer. Morwenna the hippy was Kate's birthing partner, much to Jennifer's horror, but turned out to be a fully qualified midwife, so that was OK. Kate held off naming Phoebe for weeks and weeks and then had a naming ceremony on Lakey Hill.

I see from my Archers calendar (my mum gives it to me every Christmas, OK? Nothing sad about having it up in the kitchen at all. Not even one tiny little bit sad.) that Phoebe is 16 this Saturday. She must just have taken her GCSEs. Maybe the stress has turned Roy's head.

Universal · 26/06/2014 17:30

There's an Archers calendar!!! Wow. I'll have to ditch the Countryfile one and upgrade.

PetulaGordino · 26/06/2014 17:33

i would love an archers calendar but i think dp would leave me

AllMimsyWereTheBorogoves · 26/06/2014 17:48

It's published by Archers Addicts, which I find too twee to make use of in any other way, but the calendar pictures are great. All the birthdays are on there.

PetulaGordino · 26/06/2014 17:56

i've just looked up archers addicts, apparently it closed at the end of last year, does that mean no more calendars?

AllMimsyWereTheBorogoves · 26/06/2014 18:01

Oh no! This is the first time I've ever come close to wanting to clutch pearls. Sad I hope the BBC will come to the rescue.

Hakluyt · 26/06/2014 19:16

Jesus, Fallon, your're 30, not 18!!!!!!!!!!!!

PrincessFiorimonde · 26/06/2014 19:21

Can someone tell me, please, when Alice became Fallon's best friend?

Bluestocking · 26/06/2014 19:50

Why on earth would Fallon, who as we all know is a mature and sensible 30 year old, have a wobbly in the loos and ring Alice for advice about whether or not to go on to a club?

I did enjoy the sinister appearance of the (silent) perfect candidate to be Alice's Deputy Manager (because of course a small dusty shop where the stock consists of three packets of quinoa and two wilted Home Farm lettuces can't possibly manage without a Manager and a Deputy Manager). Obviously El Knobbo already knows the perfect candidate (having swerved Hellin away from young, charismatic Toby) and is installing her in the shop to be his eyes on Hellin when he can't be watching over her.

I did also love Pat and Tony's strangled silence in response to Hellin's trilling about what a great judge of character the Knob is - "that's why he's marrying MEEEEEE!"

PetulaGordino · 26/06/2014 20:37

Why is Alice pushing Gallon to go out with someone he's not that interested in and has nothing in common with? Trust your instincts gallon! You don't need to be in a relationship to be fulfilled ffs

PetulaGordino · 26/06/2014 20:38

PetulaGordino · 26/06/2014 20:38

R4 · 26/06/2014 20:56

Can someone tell me, please, when Alice became Fallon's best friend?

Erm, would that be when she stopped being Kirsty's best friend? Hmm

Primadonnagirl · 26/06/2014 21:00

Can someone please enlighten me re Tom? I thought he'd only gone to Canada for an interview...but we've never heard of him since?? What's happened to Adam and Ian??! And the vicar and his daughter Amy who was having the affair??? Does nobody care about continuity ..

Universal · 26/06/2014 21:02

I need a strong young female character. This is how long term stories progress.
Alice could be fabulous. Alice and Chris as a strong happy fulfilled couple could be the future lynchpin of stories in 2024.

Universal · 26/06/2014 21:05

Hi Prima. Tom has sold his business and now living in Canada on a farm. Adam is still around but Ian is mute.

PetulaGordino · 26/06/2014 21:25

I would like more aeronautical engineering and less upcycling (no disrespect to the upcyclers of this world, it's just less interesting to listen to)
