Have you had your free venison burger?

Which younger women have dry sardonic tone? I longfor a young woman who is anything other than pathetic.

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 23/06/2014 19:53

Hak

Shock
ZeroSomeGameThingy · 23/06/2014 19:57

I swear I'll stop hogging the thread soon - but, Mimsy Brookfield hasn't met Justin. And d'you remember how Charlie was fussing about his Show wardrobe and Adam said tweeds?

AllMimsyWereTheBorogoves · 23/06/2014 20:03

They haven't met him and they have met Charlie. For me, that indicates that Justin is far more likely to be turned into a guy. How could you do that to a person who might turn up at the event? Also, it's Justin's scheme, not Charlie's. Charlie is not driving the road scheme through. He's in charge of farming enterprises, not roads. So no, it's not Charlie. Smile

I do hope you're wrong, Hak.

unitarian · 23/06/2014 20:04

And now Ruth and David enter a rocky patch......

Actually I like Charlie. I think he's here to stay. Maybe someone will console him when he turns up at the bonfire and finds the guy looks like him!

Was it Matt who made a comment last week about being worried about the bonfire if he was a Scottish policeman?

RhinestoneCowgirl · 23/06/2014 20:08

Peggy is the 'loneliness in the midst of busy family' storyline. V topical at the moment.

I work for a charity that runs a befriending scheme for older people, maybe I should pass a leaflet to Jenny Darling?

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 23/06/2014 20:29

Is usha a family lawyer?

If so, she's going to be busy. If not, I see a new character entering the fray

I thought she was engaged to some rich dude in london

AllMimsyWereTheBorogoves · 23/06/2014 21:12

Usha can turn her hand to any area of law. Smile

Yes, Brenda was back flashing round her engagement ring a while back, wasn't she? Definitely not in Canada, as far as we know.

PetulaGordino · 23/06/2014 21:13

pc harassment burns as i saw someone call him elsewhere

KIrsty7318 · 23/06/2014 22:25

I've just had a thought. Maybe rotaboy has been shagging around for years. He was certainly had the tones of a practiced adulterer when he spoke to poor downtrodden Hayley - no panicked guilt when she phoned. He probably has an account on PoF under the user name Bigboy69 (successful business man,29, looking for sexy fun).

I thought the death of deadbetty and it's aftermath was well done.

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 23/06/2014 22:29

Betty's death and the introduction of vicky was well done

I thought the jack story was done well too

Hakluyt · 23/06/2014 22:57

"Maybe rotaboy has been shagging around for years. "

If he has then the scriptwriters really haven't been playing fair with us. And I will be very cross indeed.

PseudoBadger · 23/06/2014 23:26

I'm on holiday, literally on the coast in North Norfolk. It's lovely, but have no wifi Shock and no 3G Shock so I'm reading a few posts at a time and haven't caught up with episodes yet...

OP posts:
mrsjavierbardem · 24/06/2014 00:08

Re tone: the women dont say any thing quite straight there is often some faint rising comedic tone of peculiar awfulness
Hayley "ooo Roy.... So working hard were you (titter) slamming in yr big tent pegs?!?"
It's the oo-ER missus tone, that some of them have. The posh are mostly straight and duller than staring at an innovations catalogue. I think the writers have had their brains, their wit, their imaginations and their narrative instincts removed by alien space agriculturists and replaced by great swathes of cress. Brew

PetulaGordino · 24/06/2014 05:26

Oh pseuds you are in the county of my birth and I do miss it. But frankly the whole county is shit for 3G and internet

ppeatfruit · 24/06/2014 10:28

Psuedo Go off line have a PROPER holiday Grin !! it's very restful when you get used to it!

Zero Great minds about LizRoy Grin I foresaw it Grin Noo Woy would not make a Lord Roy Of Loxley thanks!

But Hayley cums from Brum doesn't she mrsjavier? she would have an accent. And of course the character has to not know about anything maybe the actress was hysterically trying to sound 'normal'. It did sound a bit false to me too.

PetulaGordino · 24/06/2014 12:52

heard this this morning on my way to work - editor and agric advisor on farming today (about 4:55)

ppeatfruit · 24/06/2014 13:16

I got it up but it wouldn't play for me Petula (love your name BTW Dinnerladies is one of my fave siitcoms in the world!!),

PetulaGordino · 24/06/2014 13:18

oh boo is that to do with being in forrin parts?

i was very surprised that this name wasn't taken already (it is willie her after a namechange)! if anyone burps i say "ooh, taramasalata". drives dp up the wall

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 24/06/2014 14:19

..... Although - I suppose if Peggy were to SOTMC before Rupert arrives Lillian would feel bound to offer the matinee jacket as Peggy's own first and last offering to her new great-grandchild.

ppeatfruit · 24/06/2014 14:24

No I can always get Play It Again normally for the radio it's just the beeb TV we can't 'play again' due to being in forrin parts Grin

I don't care how many times they show DL i always love it !

Back to TA I just heard last night's. We buried both our cats and dog in our garden (not their ashes!) I often think about the what the new people said when they renovated it and found the bones Shock.

ppeatfruit · 24/06/2014 14:26

No Zero Jamie - Leo Grin or Leo - Jamie of course!

ppeatfruit · 24/06/2014 14:32

Peg is putting a not very brave face on isn't she? So we hear Mike again and learn that Vickoi is in Brum with Bethany at a music group and she 'sometimes stays with a friend there" oh really?

How far is Amb from Brum then?
