Have you had your free venison burger?

Sorry, that should be KatieKaye. I feel the need to ask who F is, to check for myself if I can see similarities. . I am reliably informed by MrNotF that Peet's Place has some good posts today too - I may need to take a look.

KIrsty7318 · 21/06/2014 21:15

Is he SN (the girly name)?

Still think they didn't DTD.

mrsjavierbardem · 22/06/2014 00:29

I've just seen this thread and missed the episode; I had verily seen this coming, I kept thinking they are hamming up her reluctance too much & was hayley happy for them to go together? We're they in separate bell tents? Lizzie's with a ring pull, a butler, a ladies maid and a fanning wallah?
I'm so glad I missed the aural face sucking it makes me heave when they snog and pant and slurp on the archers barf barf barf. I just love Matt, he is so real, the rest sound as fake as cardboard, and when Peggy called out "Where is moggy?" how many thousand of us shouted " dead! In the corner Pegs, as a DODO!"

mrsjavierbardem · 22/06/2014 00:30

BTW, lol @ DTD !

Imbroglio · 22/06/2014 11:16

Someone tell Roy there's a job going at Ambridge Organics.

Cretaceous · 22/06/2014 12:23

Not heard the episode yet... but if Lizard were to be pregnant, that might explain the awful Ruth storyline that didn't really go anywhere... softening us up to think it not too far fetched in this case. Lizzie won't want to go out with Roy, but will want to keep the baby. Hayley slowly finding out the truth... I agree with LillianGish - I don't think the storyline is so far fetched, as that is how affairs start between unlikely people. However, they don't end well...

Thehoardernextdoor · 22/06/2014 12:35

I liked the way that "Common People" was playing in the background as the "romance" began

Icimoi · 22/06/2014 12:44

Talking of background music, I enjoyed whoever it was murdering "My Way" in the background when Brine and whatsit were in the pub. I wonder if it's going on to the actor's CV as "Tuneless Karaoke singer in The Archers"? Truly a proud moment for him.

ppeatfruit · 22/06/2014 14:47

Yes Icimoi I mentioned the fabulous rendition of My Way but I hadn't heard it with Brine and David. Grin

Thehoarder I also noticed that "Common People" was playing in the car as they approached the festival; the producers are obviously having a larf great time!!!

CarolineKnappShappey · 22/06/2014 14:58

My ears! My ears!

WatermelonSugar · 22/06/2014 17:50

Oh that wasn't as bad I was expecting. I was worried they'd use the 'difficult calving' sound effects - all groaning, mooing and a sink plunger being moved vigorously in and out of a bucket of yogurt.

Hopefully we can move straight onto the awkward silences and recriminations now and never have to hear them slurping EVER AGAIN.

toldmywrath · 22/06/2014 18:39

Blimey Watermelon -that would be a ambridge too far! Grin

Halsall · 22/06/2014 18:42

Grin at Watermelon

I knew they were going to DTD as soon as Hayley started simpering and smirking in her unbearable way, and telling Roy of the Rotas to 'make sure Elizabeth has a good time'.

Er, ahem, one presumes he did....

nauticant · 22/06/2014 19:00

More excellent disapproving noises from the continuity announcer there.

Selks · 22/06/2014 19:03

Yes, a great touch with 'common people' Grin

JohnFarleysRuskin · 22/06/2014 19:05

Omg what did I miss?!?!

AllMimsyWereTheBorogoves · 22/06/2014 19:08

Scum! Angry

nauticant · 22/06/2014 19:13

Ahh, the droit du seigneur approach.

AllMimsyWereTheBorogoves · 22/06/2014 19:17

I am so cross I've just dropped the remote. How could they!

KIrsty7318 · 22/06/2014 19:19

Anguished wail.

I have always thought Rotaboy was a mean-spirited sanctimonious judgemental tosspot, but a duplititous (too upset to spell) wanker - never!

Liked the way that Lizzie vomited when she realised who she'd shagged.

KIrsty7318 · 22/06/2014 19:21

And he couldn't have been all that since she isn't going back for a repeat performance.

BoreOfWhabylon · 22/06/2014 19:21

So it is to be a cider-induced interlude. Their midsummer night's dream They will put it behind them and never speak of it again, move on with their lives and keep it as lovely memory etc etc

She's upduffed isn't she? Grin

BoreOfWhabylon · 22/06/2014 19:23

Roy as Bottom to Lizzy's Titania Grin

Abra1d · 22/06/2014 19:30

It would be statistically very unlikely that a one-off 'encounter' at the age of 47 would result in a pregnancy that goes full-term, wouldn't it?

cheminotte · 22/06/2014 19:32

At least Lizzie is being sensible. Although it was massively trailed I did think Roy would be the one to want to put it behind him.
