FlyMeToDunoon · 01/12/2009 11:20

Wonder when the christmas emoticons will arrive.

nappyaddict · 01/12/2009 11:21

I still need to buyDS' advent calendar, hope there's some left

horsemadgal · 01/12/2009 12:39

I don't have advent calender yet either, oops!

basl, was the Motherwell one. Was pre-kids I worked there so my talk was all about horses not buggies heeee.

StrictlyKatty · 01/12/2009 13:04

Yay! December, need advent calendar!

janx · 01/12/2009 13:10

Hi
Off work today with ds - the diaroreha (can't spell) has gone - now he has a dreadful cold. Took him out for a little breath of fresh air which seem to lift his spirits...and he wore his new hat Maxy - he looks so cute in it.
Been looking up recipes and how to make a train cake for his birthday on Sunday. Will have to go to work on Saturday to make up for today ...am really fed up with working - feel so stressed trying to manage the pick ups and drop offs - both ds and dd being in different places.....sorry if I sound like a broken record

basl · 01/12/2009 14:03

HMG oh i bet you miss the bank[hmmm] It is so bad at the moment due to being taken over with lloyd and the Bank of Scotland sign has been replaced by Lloyds banking now so huge changes. I sit with a girl who has two horses and i tell you she loves them like her kids.
Just been to the shops with the bjce and i annoyed a few shoppers. So that answers the nipper question and is now up for sale
Janx what a shame it is awfull trying to juggle everything and then they are ill and oh no wonder we get so stressed. I agree the a little walk in the fresh air does perk my kids when not well.

janx · 01/12/2009 14:11

Thanks basl - I fed up of being knackered all the time...arn't we all. Do you work evenings?...that must be exhausting?...your dd looks so cute - how old is your little one?

HMG - are you still wanting the clothes?...if not I am ebaying in the next few days and will include them

basl · 01/12/2009 14:33

Janx, yes i work 7 till midnight and that is so stressfull as it is a bad time. I suppose it saves on childcare but you can really tell the nights i am working the kids get all stressed and wound up as i have them on a strict routine in order for me to fit in getting ready and a little clear up after dinner bath book etc but i don't drive and i have to rely on hubby rushing in and we all rush out. Although my father in law who is nearly 70 sits with Olivia now and does arts and crafts, jigsaws and a wee bit hide and seek last night i heard but he does not like to look after my ds Daniel who is 16mths he is too fast and into everything. So he has to get hat scarf and i have even put a buggy snuggle on the car seat so he does not get too cold when taking me to work. He does love the little journey.
You should never ask me a question it always goes on for ever. I go jogging in the morning at 6.30am with my sister as it is the only free time i can go and it really makes me feel good after i have done that even if i have been working the night before. I think you are spot on with the fresh air as i can get so lazy with tiredness and it always makes us feel better. My Olivia always says that when she is tearfull with tirdness. Lets go for some fresh air.

nicolamumof3 · 01/12/2009 14:38

oh janx i do feel for you, i was made redundant in April, huuuuuge relief tbh i was struggling after i returned post luka its hard to get it all done and feel human isn't it?

got payment for clothes will be sent tomorrow thanks!! did you put your address on?

right decisions have been made on the pushchair front.

my boy is asleep in the xlr now tis fab, its staying sorted footmuff problem, have decided not to bother with one, if its cold he can have snowsuit on, when he falls asleep i will just put little blanket on him unless i win the stayput im watching on ebay atm. Anyone got a mothercare stroller blanket? they are just the right size and they roll up into their own little carrier.

must go end listing on ebay for xlr. the other thing is i pushed tate in it to swimming this morning (lazy boy and we were in a hurry) omg sooooo much easier than the xlr! and he didn't look overly big in it. thats what sold it to me. the large hood is great for when they are asleep too. thats it no more silly lustings after a quest. nipper and xlr. done.

basl · 01/12/2009 14:44

well done nicola. Glad you are happy. I had a custom made stayput blanket made and it was great. It was the cream and dinasaur one but i sold it. They are a great idea.

janx · 01/12/2009 14:54

Hats off to you basl - I couldn't do evening work and you jog in the morning! ....am sitting here with a coffee and some chocolate coins before the school run. Normally have dd picked up on Tuesdays -but as I am off will go myself even though will still pay the woman who does the pick ups. Am thinking we will need to get someone to pick up Luka one day a week - more money!
Nicola - I am going for a stay put too - think I might get the brown cow one and stick my sheepskin liner on the buggy...did put the address on me thinks

Horse - didn't mean that to sound abrupt btw

janx · 01/12/2009 14:55

Where did you get your stayput from basl?

nicolamumof3 · 01/12/2009 14:56

Thats a good idea will be lovely and cosy with sheepskin on. im so glad im back in love with my xlr.

basl · 01/12/2009 15:01

snap i have just filled the advent calender wall hanging thingy with coins and sitting having coffe and coints to. I hade mine made by chunkle munkle lady. She is great and lets you suggest your own fabric hence the dino fabric i had for the obaby atlas. Sure the snunkie lady does it as well. Footmuffs actually annoy me when they slip all the time and the staps always seem to get lost. When shopping i always think they look so messy all unziped as i can never be bothered to full unzip and then zip back on for outside.

nicolamumof3 · 01/12/2009 15:14

yes i think its blankets for us now all the way, so may get a nice minky one made.

maxybrown · 01/12/2009 15:50

I notice that none of you made comments on my lovely singing this morning whilst I was by myself...hmph!

Been to town with my Mum today

OP posts:
FlyMeToDunoon · 01/12/2009 16:02

Hmm well this morning DD3 was freezing and I was not convinced by the stayput so have advertised for a jane footmuff. Swithering now.....

5inthebed · 01/12/2009 16:05

Nappy, DS2 is 4 and no idea where he is on the spectrum. Somewhere in the middle? They don't really like to "position" them here. Not many children with ASD get higher mobility, I know ds2 won't get it, but always worth applying for. You can apply for it before he is dx you know. Get thyself over to the SN boards, we re lovely over there, we don't bite (we leave that to the kids ).

I want a new footmuff.

nappyaddict · 01/12/2009 16:08

basl Are you keeping the nipper then?

Nic DS still goes in the buggy and he is only 6 months younger than Tate. Is XLR or XT lighter to push with Tate in it? A friend has said I can borrow either her XT or XLR woo hoo!! I may not want to give it back though

5inthesleighbed · 01/12/2009 16:11

Nappy, are you getting a pram from wheelchair services or buying one?

nappyaddict · 01/12/2009 16:16

5inthebed I do go on the SN board but not that often at the moment. How old was DS when he was diagnosed? If DS is ASD I think it is likely that he has PDD which is a bit milder than autism. Have the mentioned whether your DS is a HFA, MFA or LFA?

nicolamumof3 · 01/12/2009 16:16

I found the xlr soooo easy with Tate in it today, alot easier than the xt, i'd get that if she's offered?

Tate would go in buggy every day if he could!
