Oh Suzie, that's awful. Sad I had a family friend who hung himself under different circumstances when he was 12 too. It's really difficult knowing that it didn't have to have happened if only he'd had the right help at the time.

TruthSweet · 12/12/2011 21:46

I'm so sorry Suzie Sad (hugs)

TwinkleWunkleChristmasStar · 12/12/2011 22:13

Am I right in thinking that the ABC Adventure Buggy Triple and Peg Perego Triplette are the only two triple pushchairs where you can get two flat reclines for a newborn and a slight recline for an older baby AND still get through a standard doorway? I can't see you can get any flat reclines on the Ingelsina, nor if you can get two carrycots and one seat on? I have been asked this several times in just the last three days!! Three mums with a 10-16 month old and newborn twins!!

Who wanted the 'pick up sticks' tandem? There's one on EBay and will post. I won't link because it seems a fair price, but you will know the brand if it was you!

suzie ((((hugs)))) thats awful, hits you hard when its someone close, my dd's lovely teacher died very suddenly last week, Sad

TwinkleWunkleChristmasStar · 13/12/2011 00:27

What do you think of I liked it when I first saw it, and thought we would replace the Surf with one, but having seen the video I am not sure now. I need to see one in person. It looks too fragile on screen.

It looks like you couldn't carry more than a beaker or a nappy in the back pocket before it tipped over!

Without being funny, it really looks like a designer has created the Yezz not a parent. It's very nice looking and all but I'd be worried about poking people with the pointy bits on the edges!

suzie38 · 13/12/2011 07:18

Definetely won't be buying a Yezz.

TwinkleWunkleChristmasStar · 13/12/2011 08:34

Is this morning? (Blurry eyed!) I can't imagine having to get up early every day once again....

OP posts:
suzie38 · 13/12/2011 09:07

Early!!! I've been up 2 hours though DD had a lie in till 8.40 and i had to wake her up.

BrassMonkeyBaubles · 13/12/2011 10:16

Suzie38 I am so sorry to hear that sad news. How awful.
Sad the girl was bullied and sad she felt that was the only way out too. Poor child. So so terrible for her family and friends to loose her too. :(

BrassMonkeyBaubles · 13/12/2011 11:03

My eldest child is 19 today! I feel old!!! I still remember pushing her in her Disney Apollo pink and mint striped with Minnie Mouse print pushchair. Sigh...

misdee · 13/12/2011 11:21

tiggy, have u had the icandy strawberry? am debating it for a years time maybe.

saoirse86 · 13/12/2011 11:22

I'm so sorry to hear that suzie, it's just horrible to think that could have been prevented. Sad

I think I have to say I dislike everything about the yezz. To me it seems like they got the zapp and made it worse in pretty much every way. I will definitely not be buying one!

BrassMonkeyBaubles · 13/12/2011 11:29

I like the skateboard wheels, and that it's so compact it can be carried over the shoulder. Bet it pushes easier than a maclaren too!
Why is it maclaren don't upgrade their truly shite wheels?
I think the yezz may have its uses....not keen on the pole ends sticking up either side of the seat though. Looks like an eye poke waiting to happen!

misdee · 13/12/2011 11:34

i love the mountain buggy c drive with its scooter wheels. shame it was too low down for dh to push.

saoirse86 · 13/12/2011 11:35

Look at the bottom here, surely that's not what the rain cover is going to be like, it's awful!

Has anyone seen a foot muff for it yet or are they just using the standard quinny one?

PresentsRibbonsAndMerrySantas · 13/12/2011 11:36

monkeys are dc's have the same bdays mine is 7 today, baking a cake for her at the mo, must clock watch Xmas Grin
when is the babyjogger pod coming out

PresentsRibbonsAndMerrySantas · 13/12/2011 11:56

on looking at baby gizmo review the pod is what i am going to get when it arrives next year, as it does everything i will need it for, and dd and ds together don't come near the weight limit, dd will be riding her bike in a few years, but ds won't be so the 100lb weight limit will be great for him then, hes still under 20kilos at 5.5 years old so not even half way there yet.

BrassMonkeyBaubles · 13/12/2011 12:07

I've just seen the price of the Quinny Yezz! Xmas Shock

It's a camping chair with skateboard wheels!!! The skateboard isn't even included!!! Those wheels will get stuck on every crack in the pavement or cobblestone I think.

saoirse86 · 13/12/2011 12:17

How much is it Monkey? The skateboard wheels look like they'd manoeuvre well but they're so tiny and I agree, you'd get stuck in ever little gap. But at least it's light so you could lift it out easily! Xmas Wink

saoirse86 · 13/12/2011 12:28

Oh wow, £175! And then £25 for the terrible rain cover! Does that mean the rain cover doesn't come with it? I can't see anything saying either way. Xmas Confused

I just can't see it taking off at all. The only time I can see it being useful (or mkre useful than other pushchairs already on the market) is when you get to the stage where your dc is walking most of the time but you want something in case they get tired, and you don't have a younger dc so no buggy board. But even then, that would be a short amount of time and I couldn't see myself wanting to spend £200 for those occasions.

saoirse86 · 13/12/2011 12:28

more not mkre!

aswellasyou · 13/12/2011 12:37

Saoirse, the Yezz is £175 plus whatever the raincover costs! It's far too expensive for what it is. I don't like the sticky outy bits at the sides. But it would be very useful for travelling or if you have a child who likes to walk but still needs a pushchair when they're tired. (P.S. Answer your phone!)

Twinkle, the pick up sticks has been relisted a few times but I just can't justify it or really afford it right now. I want it to cost £50! Xmas Wink

Misdee, the Strawberry isn't out yet and Twinkle has got her hands on one yet.

Monkey and Prams, happy birthday to your girls! Thanks Monkey, 19?!! So you're not 28 then? Xmas Wink

BrassMonkeyBaubles · 13/12/2011 12:37

I saw on a blog somewhere that although the easywalker qtro is listed as only 15kg it is so only because that is what the test goes to and proves it is safe to. As is the norm for most pushchairs. However, they know it will infect hold the weight of an adult no problems!
